Modakeke are just strangers in ife. IFE owns all those lands. Infact that town is so underdeveloped. I got some friends there then who do complain of lack of power there whereas same not with ife . They always say it IFE people that don't give them light . But farm produce is very cheap in Modakeke . Op exploit more in ife, move around iremo, enuwa , moore. And if you are interested in history then you are welcome to ife

Regarding the food, you should be familiar with Eba(Garri) fufu and pounded yam. The soup you can try Egusi or Efo(vegetable) They should be close to what you are used to

Ondo town with their Great Icons is a Big Boy if you talk about its place in Nigeria and globally.

Modakeke could be small but they are mighty o. The current CEO of MTN Nigeria, Karl Toriola, is from Modakeke and his Dad, a medical doctor, is a potential Oba. Karl himself grew up in Modakeke as a son of the soil and schooled in Ife up to university (OAU) despite his fresh half caste look just like that Freeze sheeple half caste guy born, raised and schooled in Ibadan(UI).

I met a few Modakeke folks in the university and they are really brilliant!

Please enjoy your stay and ensure you learn Yoruba and speak it well before leaving. It will help you in life. Anywhere you go and stay, always learn their language first. I do it by carrying a jotter and asking for help on local ways of passing information in the local dialect.
