This is laughable in this era of STEM courses. As the name suggests here the E is for Engineering not English It's high time JAMB upgrades to course specific subjects. Or make it 5 subjects if English must be compulsory, which is senseless since WAEC already took care of English. A STEM student with a combination of mathematics, physics, chemistry & biology will have a wider range of options including Medicals Engineering, ICT. What is the value of the 27billion to be saved compared to the money government budgeted for their vehicles etc that must be spent? Misplaced priorities as usual. Not surprising at all. 1 Like |

I served in Ogun state 1999/2000 the experience was cool then, don't know about now. Then allowee was N 3800 & state offices Paid N 1500. Then I was posted to Opic but I ended up working in the state min of works & housing without any stress. The good thing about serving in Ogun is the closeness to Lagos for those of us who are Lagos based. |

It's CIVILIZATION that has made it to seam that way, Because of the civilization of one man, one wife that encourages marriage & divorce, Most men are forced to have a mistress outside. In the western world gender equality has given rise to marriage equality which encourages a spouses to get divorced & marry another. The average man or woman will have had a number of wives or husbands during their life time. This is called EQUALITY!!! & that is the crux of the matter, which is also responsible for the GAY movement current experienced in some countries today. Men & women were created for companionship(to compliment) not competition(to rival) hence no need for equality, be-cos they are already equals in their own rights. A woman can only compete with her fellow women equality, while men compete amongst themselves. that way we maintain full respect of the genders. There should never be cross-gender competition for equality or else we will continue to feel cheated by our spouses. |
