The cheese grater design is back Apple’s annual World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) kicked off today, and we finally got a glimpse of some of the products and services the tech giant has been working on behind the scenes. We saw new, privacy-oriented features for iOS, the all-new WatchOS 6 (which finally includes its own App Store), and more. However, for power users, 3D artists, and video editors, the key feature at WWDC was likely Apple’s unveiling of the 2019 Mac Pro. Apple’s professional-oriented machine has not seen any major redesigns, upgrades, or reworks since 2013’s Mac Pro hit the market, making it all the more important for Apple to get this model right....https://www.xduster.com/apple-unveils-the-2019-mac-pro-a-5999-workstation-powered-by-an-8-core-intel-xeon-processor/

Apple is investigating While we still hear the occasional report of smartphones catching fire due to faulty lithium-ion batteries, the same incidents occurring in laptops are rare. But they do sometimes happen, as one MacBook Pro owner who videoed his device emitting plumes of smoke will testify. White Panda, a music producer/DJ, tweeted a video showing his MacBook Pro belching smoke and damaging the wooden floorboards of his home. He says the incident occurred during “normal use” while the laptop was plugged in (using an Apple charger) and on his lap. It “suddenly started to spew smoke out both sides,” at which point he “placed it on the floor where it popped, the smoke increased, and it caught fire,” setting off the house’s smoke and CO alarms. He was able to remove it to the porch using gloves...https://www.xduster.com/watch-a-macbook-pro-pumping-out-smoke-after-it-exploded-during-normal-use/

![]() Although Huawei’s troubles are far from over, there is finally some good news for the company, albeit a small change but it is sufficient to give the technology giant a sigh of relief. After having its membership of various standards bodies removed, the company has silently found its way back again. The SD Association, along with two more standards, have all now welcomed back the Chinese giant, but the fight is far from over. Huawei’s biggest concern will be if it will be able to resume its partnership with Google, or continue to work on its custom operating system, with some reports called it HongMeng OS, while a different trademark referring it to as ARK OS....https://www.xduster.com/after-a-brief-period-huawei-has-gently-found-its-way-back-to-the-sd-association-and-other-standards/

The fight is on.... n an interview, Huawei’s head for the company’s consumer business Richard Yu spoke up about the kind of direction and planning the firm is taking after the Android license ban. Three months ahead of its official release With stories about toxicity, addiction, and other negative elements, gamers and the gaming industry are often portrayed in a bad light. But there are times when communities come together to do something special. In this case, a terminal cancer patient will be granted his wish to play Borderlands 3 early. Reddit user taurustrev, whose real name is Trevor Eastman, posted a message on the official Borderlands Reddit a month ago that revealed he had been diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal, stomach, and liver cancer. With Eastman not sure if he’ll live to see Borderlands 3’s September 13 launch, he asked the community if anyone knew of a way that he could play the game early. He’d already tried to see Avengers: Endgame ahead of its release but wasn’t successful..https://www.xduster.com/2k-games-grants-fan-with-terminal-cancer-play-borderlands-3-early/

Wait, HTC still make phones? The HTC Exodus 1 was a gimmick when it was released last December. Built on the solid (though boring) foundations of the HTC U12, its only special feature was a secure storage enclave called ‘Zion,’ but even that could only store keys to access digital cats. Costing a whopping $950 and only available for purchase via Bitcoin or Ethereum, most people were inclined to believe the phone would be a disaster – until it wasn’t...https://www.xduster.com/the-exodus-1s-as-htc-announces-their-second-blockchain-phone/

File Explorer is a bit more convenient now Windows 10’s latest Insider Preview Build is finally out for those in the Program’s “Fast” ring, and it’s bringing a wide array of bug fixes to the OS.
