An Irresistible offer. I went to the hospital the other day. and I saw a lady with osteosarcoma(cancer of the bone). I overheard her discussing with one of the patients. According to her, she has been going for chemotherapy for some time now. She is tired and getting sick of the whole thing. Her visit to the hospital was to get some medicine to treat the bad effects of the chemo. She told the patient that she has searched for a cure here and there, all to no avail. She is tired, dejected and almost giving up on life. This lady kept crying profusely and though I couldn't speak to her, I felt her pain from a distance. Now imagine that a doctor walks in to examine this patient. And with him is the solution of this lady in form of drugs. After examination, he tells the lady that he has a solution to her problem. He goes further to explain to the lady how the drug has cured about 5 patients(he shows her the pictures from his phone). The good thing about the drug is that, she will not go for chemo any longer nor will she experience any pain. Because the drug will take the pain away while it repairs the cancerous cells(cure) and stops them from spreading. She will be declared cancer free within 3 months of using the medicine. You would agree with me that the lady will jump on this offer without a blink even if the drug is more expensive than the Chemo. This is because the doctor is not selling the features or the information about the drugs. He is selling the outcome(cure) to the patient, what she needs to hear, her pain point and the solution to it. Some business owners or service providers think creating an irresistible offer is by making their product cheap. An irresistible offer is a result, the solution and the outcome of what you are bringing. So to create an irresistible offer, you should first find out; The result and the solution your product will bring and create your offer around it. You are not creating an irresistible offer if you only make your product cheap without selling the result and solution. A customer will leave a cheap product and go for the same product or service with the result and solution even if it is high in price. |
Copywriting is the first skill you should learn and practice if you want to make a lot of money online. If you are just starting out or thinking about starting online, this is the best thing you have come across. When starting an online business, learning copywriting is crucial for the following five reasons; 1. Your website needs copywriting. 2. You'll need copywriting to write your advertisements. 3. You need Copywriting for Product descriptions. 4. Copywriting is needed for Customer care. 5. You need Copywriting for Email marketing. Having known all of that, you may want to truly understand what Copywriting entails. Copywriting is a form of writing that must be distinguished from other types of writing. Copywriting is a style of writing that is specifically designed to generate "sales." It is different from content writing or even standard writing. So, if you're starting or have already launched an internet business, pay attention to the five reasons above as I discuss in depth why they require Copywriting to succeed in online marketing: 1. Your website needs Copywriting. If you're not aware, the first step in launching an online business is to have a website. However, given some of the platforms are free, you could prefer to start with a different online marketplace if you wish to reduce costs first. You can take advantage of the millions to billions of visitors that the majority of these marketplaces receive thanks to the traffic that other websites send their way. Regardless of whether you establish a website or not, you still need to write about yourself and your products and advertise on market platforms. 2. You will need Copywriting to write your advertisements and blog post. Any business that wants to sell its goods must engage in marketing efforts, most frequently through advertising. The phrase "copywriting" refers to writing created specifically for advertisements. Most advertisements are short and have a call-to-action at the end. 3. You need Copywriting for Product descriptions. This is a marketing mistake that many people make unknowingly. Not having a product descriptions. In the online world, there is no "salesman" to help you push your products to people. So, you must persuade your website visitors to buy right now using only "words." As a result, unless you have extra money to pay for Copywriting services, learning Copywriting skills is very important. 4. You need Copywriting for Customer care Keep in mind that an online business is still a business, and those who interact with you will expect responses and responses. When you do not have the right words for your online customers, it can result in negative reviews and, unfortunately, the end of the business's journey. As a result, learning to write and speak with customers is critical. If you take a Copywriting class, you'll be able to do this better. 5.You need Copywriting for Email marketing One of the most effective forms of digital marketing is email marketing. If you are just starting an online business, it is always a good idea to stay in touch with your customers. To stay in touch, you send them emails frequently. You can give them an update on any new products you have or give them details on the products they bought from you.You must do this project accurately and successfully to prevent wasting your time and effort, which is why copywriting knowledge is needed. To sum up. If you want to succeed in anything online, you must master copywriting the right way. To keep the internet and search engines running, only writing and words are used. This is why, in today's world(The digital age) having convincing organic writing skills is as important as having a website, leveraging online marketplaces, and starting a business online. A Patient with heart disease went to the hospital and met doctor A. Doctor A tells the patient how he is the best doctor in the world, how he studied at zymzzzzzzz university and came out with first-class grades, he went on to praise himself and after that, the patient left and assured him that he will be back. After he left the hospital, he got a call from a friend telling him about one particular doctor B in another hospital. The patient set his journey to doctor B's hospital to meet with him. When he met doctor B, doctor B explained to him about his disease, the problem and the solution to his problem. He went further to break down the solutions for him, the test he would need to carry out, the type of surgery he will perform on him and the drugs that will be required for healing. He didn't end there, he went on to assure the patient that he has been able to cure over 50 persons with that same disease. And the good thing is that, after the surgery, none has ever complained of anything because the right medication was given after the surgery. . At the end of their discussion, the patient left and assured doctor B that he will come back. Now among the two doctors, which doctor do you think the patient is likely to go back to? I guess you already know the answer. This is a typical example of an irresistible offer. An irresistible offer is selling results, selling solutions and selling outcomes. Why you are not making sales in business is because you have decided to tell me how your product is the best out there. You have decided to sell information about your business instead of selling results and solutions. See nobody cares about how good your product is or how good your services are; what they care about is if your product or service has the solution to their problem. Sell results and solutions, not features. Your duty is not to sell information, your duty is to sell results. Medical doctors sell solutions that's why the sick will always run to them. But the question now is, how do you make your results and solution(offer) look so irresistible that your potential customer will see and beg you for it? One of the ways to do this is to promise, promise them what they want and give them what they need. |
So today I am going to talk about 4 different parts of copywriting. For your copy to convert better and bring in more sales, you should apply these 4 different parts in writing your copy. Remember the goal of copywriting is to sell and the power of any copy is how much it brings. Without wasting much time... 1. HEADING: Heading is one of the most important parts of ad copy. This is where you catch the interest of people to be like; okay let me know what this is talking about. Since people are exposed to too much content in today's world, your heading must be attention-grabbing. The heading is meant to raise interest first not to buy. . 2. THE HOOK: The hook is a promise you make. Remember how fishermen use hooks to catch the fish? That's what hooks in a copy are meant to do. It keeps the reader wanting to know what your promise entails. For example, "you could say, if you read this post to the end, I promise you will make more money than you have ever made this year." Please tell me, who doesn't want to make more money? Or you could say, If this writing-up will help you lose weight, will you read to the end? Anybody that wants to lose weight will surely read to the end. The goal is to get them hooked to reading the copy to the end where you want them to take action. . 3. THE BODY: The body is where the sales happen. Don't just introduce the products first. Introduce the problem to your customers as clearly as you can, and do it in a way that your customer will say, "hmmm this is so me" for example you want to sell a moisturising cream, "You could say, I remember when I used to have dry skin, I was so ashamed of myself that I don't put on sexy clothes, all I had to wear was long skirts, trousers and tops that don't fit. I couldn't put on the light and fancy clothes even I I want to. I was ashamed of my skin, I was depressed and I couldn't hang out with friends, because of this reason loneliness became my next name." Then after introducing all the problems associated with dry skin, You can also use pictures to show the problem. What you do next is to introduce the product as the solution to the problem. Make sure you list all the benefits(not the features)that the customer will derive from using the product. . 4. CALL TO ACTION: Remember, the purpose of a copy is to sell. But how can you sell if you don't tell your customers what to do that will lead to sales? As the name indicates, make your customers take action. What action do you want them to take? Tell them or else they won't do it. People like to be told what to do and they are even lazy to do it, they want to procrastinate. Make sure to be specific and include urgency, for example, 'buy this now' click the link now' 'subscribe now' etc. I hope this brings more sales to your business. |
1. The customer: The customer should be your centre of attraction. Make sure your focus is on the customer. Get into the customer's ego because what they care is what you can offer to them. 2. Keep your copy simple. Use a one line sentence, this makes your copy interesting and readable. 3. Before writing a copy, do diligent research to know about your customers, know their desire, their pain point and the language that goes on in their head. 4. Write the way you talk. You don't have to be perfect. Most people would buy from you because of your personality. 5. Write your copy with emotions. This is because a customer will always choose emotion rather than logic. Is what you are offering going to solve their problem? If yes then, be sure to sell. So next time you want to write a copy, do well to remember these tips. |
I grew up in the village with my parents. . My mum was a trader, she goes to the north to get some goods to sell in our local markets. . One time she travelled and came back with bags of groundnut and other grains to sell wholesale. . It was during the long holidays, so I decided to take one bag of groundnut and retail it. . That would allow me to save some money and brag to my fellow students when school resumes. . I have planned on how I am going to be a big girl and make enough do you know who I am kind of a thing? . I had wanted to join the pepper-them, gang group. . I also envisaged how the next school section will be in my head and I can't wait for school to resume. . Did it ever happen? No. . So back to the bag of groundnut that I will sell to raise money. . Because my mum owns the peanut business, I told her it was going to be a sale on credit, when I sell I will pay her. . I started my business, it was then I realised how much I hated selling, coupled with the fact that I am a very shy person. . It didn't end well at last because I couldn't sell up to the capital not to talk of profit. . Since then I have hated selling, I try to run far away from anything that has to do with sales or marketing because to me it sounded sweet but tasted like bitter kola. . But how can I make money if I continue to run from it? . So I decided to face my fears and that is when I found out about copywriting. . Like some people, I had thought it was about the right to ownership of a property like copyright but when I dived more into it, I was shocked to know that; . 1. Copywriting is about selling 2. Copywriting is the act of writing words that convert better. 3. Copywriting is salesmanship in print, not a trade mark. Copywriting is using written words to start, enhance or extend a relationship with a customer. 4. I also found out it is a high-income skill, that you can learn to make loads and tons of money. 5. Every business whether online or offline needs a copywriter in their beautiful life. . The number four opened my ear antenna because who wouldn't like to make money? Nobody. . So because of that, I decided to swallow the bitter pills and I must say, it is no longer bitter but now as sweet as honey. |
