His older sibling and I rushed out to the backyard but we didn’t see him initially. Then I checked beside the bush and found him macheted. He hadn’t died when we got there. Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, has been moved to Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, for intensive care after testing positive for Coronavirus earlier this week. According to insider sources, the governor is being treated at his home in Abuja with a sizable number of medical personnel on the ground to ensure he gets the best care possible. Apart from medical staff on the ground to attend to him, it was gathered that the Abia State governor also arrived Abuja with a retinue of aides and security personnel, some of whom are believed to have tested positive for the virus as well. Governor Okezie Ikpeazu TOS TV SaharaReporters gathered that Ikpeazu has kidney failure and has been undergoing dialysis, thereby further complicating his situation and threatening his chances of making a full recovery from COVID-19. Before now, there were attempts to fly the Abia governor abroad for treatment but following the ban on international flights in many countries around the world and his positive status of the virus, that idea was frustrated and the decision to move him to Abuja was reached. In March, Ikpeazu was reported to have been trapped in the United States following the travel restriction put in place to contain the spread of the virus but the Abia Government dismissed the report as false. Recall that on March 22, 2020, Governor Ikpeazu said that the state will not record any Coronavirus case because it was the only state mentioned in the Holy Bible. He said, “Abia is the only state that is mentioned in the Bible. We have a promise from God that none of these diseases will touch God’s people. And I hold on to God’s promise. “We saw Ebola, it did not get to us. We saw monkeypox, it didn’t get to us. Even this one (COVID-19) will also pass us by.” As a result of his current situation, Governor Ikpeazu has since directed Ude Chukwu, his deputy, to act in his capacity until he recovers. Abia State so far has 83 cases of Coronavirus while seven persons have recovered from the pandemic. Source:https://www.neduwealth.com/2020/06/exclusive-abia-governors-coronavirus.html

US President Donald Trump, has responded to reports he fled to the White House safe bunker during protests over the death of George Floyd outside the White House over the weekend.Hundreds of protesters gathered outside the White House to protest Floyd's killing while under police custody, and parts of St John's Church beside the White House caught fire due to the protests.According to reports over 50 Secret Service agents were injured in clashes with protesters and Trump had to be rushed to the secret bunker for protection. I looked at it. It was during the day, it was not a problem.''It was more for an inspection.''I was there for a tiny, short little period of time,' he told Kilmeade in a 30 minute interview on Wednesday morning. 'A whole group of people went with me as an inspecting factor.''They said it would be a good time to go down and take a look because maybe sometime you're going to need it,' he noted. 'I've been down - that'd be number two, so two and half sort of, because I've done different things, but two and a half.''But I looked I was down for a very very short period of time, a very very short period of time, I can't tell you who went with me but a whole group of people went with me,' Trump added. The Kogi Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Abdulmumuni Danga, who allegedly brutalized and raped a former beauty queen for calling him out on Facebook was called in for questioning. However, there has been pressure from the state governor and others in the political class to pervert justice, Segun Awosanya has said. Earlier this year, a woman identified as Elizabeth, urged the commissioner on Facebook to assist his sister and family financially. Danga was offended by the post and he allegedly hired thugs to kidnap Elizabeth from her home with her three-year-old son. After Elizabeth was released, she shared a video, showing the wounds allegedly inflicted on her by the commissioner. She also claimed that he raped her. Elizabeth said at the time: “After making the post, they started attacking me on social media and he sent some guys to come and get me. “On getting to me, they flogged me. He flogged me himself, stripped me naked and made a video of me threatening to post it when next I make any public comment about it. “They also made me apologize that what I said about him was not true under duress. I had to do so because they were all over me. “The commissioner also smashed my phone and destroyed it totally, saying that maybe I might have been recording what was happening or I have been recording before getting there.” Nigerians were angered after Elizabeth shared her story and people used their platforms to call for justice. Activist Segun Awosanya, popularly known as Segalink, took to Twitter to reveal that Hon. Danga was taken into custody on Tuesday, June 2, but was later released after he posted bail.
