2 Brothers Arrested For Attacking And Robbing Jewellery Shop, Stole Item Worth #300,000 Plus In Anambra State (Photo)

*ARREST OF TWO ROBBERY SUSPECTS OF SAME PARENTS.Neduwealth.com reports that the police operatives attached to B'Division Awka arrested two Robbery suspects as follows,




(i). Chigozie Simon 'm' aged 21years native of Aguata but resides at Kenfrank Lodge UNIZIK Tempsite Awka and,

(ii).Onywka Simon 'm' aged 22years of same address.

The Suspects who are brothers from same parents as well as undergraduates at Paul University and UNN allegedly entered a jewellery shop forcefully at Tempsite Awka,tied the sales girl and cover her mouth with cello tape.

They also threatened to stab the sales girl on her neck if she scream and thereafter carted away 33 wrist watches,14 necklaces valued over three hundred thousand naira (#300,000) and cash sum of thirty seven thousand Naira(#37,000) Consequently, as the suspects were escaping, the sales girl loosened the tape and raised alarm which led to the arrest of the suspects after a hot chase. Meanwhile,exhibits recovered in their possessions includes 33 wrist watches,14 necklaces, cash sum of #37,000 Naira and a wrap of dried leave suspected to be Cannabis Sativa following a search at their residence. . Suspects voluntarily confessed to the crime and investigation is ongoing after which they would be brought to book.The Command urges the public who were victims of similar robbery incidents to report at B' Division Awka in order to enable the Police conduct discreet investigation into the matter.

Meanwhile both the two suspects have been arrested and the children recovered in good condition.Investigation is ongoing after which the suspects would be brought to book.

Neduwealth.com reports that, Anambra state Police command has paraded twenty suspected cultists apprehended by the command's Anti-Cult unit. Out of the twenty suspects, two are aged sixteen and seventeen. One of the underaged suspects, Master Echezona Metu from Igbo-Ukwu, who is an SS 1 student of Community Secondary school Igbo-Ukwu was arrested with a single barrel gun inside the school premises.

According to Master Metu, the gun belongs to his aged father who fought in the Biafran Army, and he was at the school with the gun to prove to his classmates who were doubting that his father was a Biafran Army.

Exhibits recovered from the suspects include two pump actions guns, two double barrel guns, two fabricated pistols, ten machetes, four daggers, among other incriminating items.

Parading the suspects at the command's Anti-Cult unit in Enugwu-Ukwu in Njikoka council area, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr John Abang appealed to Ndi Anambra and other residents in the state to always monitor the movements of their children and also take note of the kind of friends they keep. He assured that the command will not relent in its efforts to ensure that the state is rid of crimes and criminality.

-GOV. IKPEAZU OF ABIA STATE VISITS FAMILY OF THE MAN ALLEGEDLY SHOT DEAD BY A CIVIL DEFENCE OFFICER AT UMUOKPO, OBINGWA (PHOTOS)

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu this evening, visited Umuokpo Village, Obingwa LGA to commiserate with the family of Late Onyedikachi Nwogu who was allegedly shot dead at close range by an Officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps right in front of his compound three days ago, 8th September 2020.Governor Ikpeazu who was met on arrival by the Transition Committee Chairman of Obingwa LGA, Hon. Nnaji Kingsley expressed his deepest condolences to the family of the young man who was killed for no justifiable reason and assured that the killer officer will be made to face the full wrath of the law.

Information available from the members of the Community has it that the Civil Defence Officer, Inspector Robinson Otobong Abel attached to the Akwa Ibom State Command of the Corps was escorting an expartriate and insisted on driving through the compound of the deceased on account of the bad state of the Federal road. The deceased resisted the attempt to drive through his compound, whereupon the officer allegedly shot him at close range, killing him instantly.

The Governor commended the community members for resisting the temptation of lynching the officer. He assured the wife of the deceased and his aged mother that his administration will not abandon them, especially the little children, whom he assured will be seen through school. He asked the Obingwa LGA Chairman to bring the widow of the deceased, the mother and his brother to see him tomorrow for further discussions.

On his way out of the compound , the State Commissioner of Police, Mrs Janet Agbede met the Governor and thanked him for the visit, assuring that the killer officer who is in custody will be prosecuted.

Presidency 2023: I’ll build a 20th century economy if Nigerians make me President- Orji Uzor Kalu

The Former Abia state governor and current Senate chief whip, Orji Uzor Kalu, says he will build a 20th-century economy in Nigeria if Nigerians make him president come 2023.
Kalu said this on a programme at a radio station in Umuahia, Abia state capital while speaking on his presidential ambition in 2023. According to him, he is more than capable to do the job of a president.

“Yes, if you give me the presidency, why not, I will take. I am capable of doing the job.
The problem is who is capable of doing the job. For now, I am focusing on my constituency; there is a lot of job to be done.

If you give me opportunity, I will like to go back to the Senate for a second term, but if the people of Nigeria want me to be president, they will show the hand. I can do the job. I can build a 20th century economy for our people.” he said
Recall that after a private visit to former Military leaders, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and Abdulsalami Abubakar, in Minna, on Monday, August 31, Kalu told newsmen that he would not hesitate to serve as Nigeria’s president if given the opportunity by the electorate.

Recall In December 2019, Kalu was sentenced to 12 years in prison after he was convicted for N7.1bn fraud alongside his firm, Slok Nigeria Limited, and a former Director of Finance during his tenure as governor, Ugo Udeogu.
The Supreme court on May 8, 2020, upturned Kalu and Udeogo's conviction on grounds that the presiding judge, Justice Mohammed Idris, lacked the jurisdiction to have presided over their case. He was released from Kuje prison on June 3, 2020.

29-Year-Old Azubuike Murder Case, Police Arrested Suspect In Nkpor Idemili Anambra

Neduwealth.com reports that police in anambra On the 2/9/2020 at about 10:10pm arrested a suspect involved in a murder case of one Eleyi Azubuike 'm' aged 29 years of Ochiagha street,Nkpor in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State by his girlfriend one Oyinye Chime 'f' aged 25 years of same Ochiagha street, Nkpor Inside his room. Following the report, Police detectives attached to Ogidi Division led by the DPO CSP Ekuri Remigius visited the scene and rushed victim who was found in a pool of his blood to Iyi Enu Mission hospital Ogidi for medical attention where he was certified dead by the medical doctor on arrival. Corpse was deposited at the hospital mortuary for autopsy.


A careful observation on the deceased body revealed stab wound on his chest while a blood stained Kitchen knife was also recovered as Exhibit at the scene. Meanwhile,preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased allegedly impregnated the suspect and wanted an abortion which she declined and demanded for some money for her upkeep which the deceased also refused to oblige, that eventually led to a scuffle which resulted to the deceased being stabbed to dead.


Case is under investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Neduwealth reports that Abia state Vigilantee Group, Bende Local Government division today intercepted a gang who are members of ARO Fraternity during their initiation ceremony.

According to the source this group members with gang name of "ARO" fraternity came back to Item in bende local government in Abia state last night and started their initiation/operation at Amaeke/Apuanu this morning. Unfortunately for them, they ran out of luck and were intercepted by the Vigilante groups of Item. They are currently being held at oloo Apuanu.

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Adamu today in Abuja received medical items worth over One Hundred Million naira donated by Sir Emeka Offor Foundation.The items included 50 stainless hospital beds sets and their side drawers, hospital mattresses, bedsheets, 60 KVA generator, cartons of variety of medicine and medicament and some PPE equipment.

Speaking at the event, Sir Dr. Emeka Offor stated that he has a long history and good relationship with the police being the son of a former policeman. "The items are to be used by the Muhammadu Buhari Police Hospital for the benefit of Police personnel and general public who will be treated here.

This is our modest way of saying thank you for the great job men in uniform are doing for our country," he stated at the event.

An eyewitness account said the woman was murdered at her house in the presence of his husband and children on Thursday night when the assailants allegedly attacked her with a cutlass.


The bloody incident, described as the first of its kind in the sleepy community, was said to have disconcerted residents.

The police in Anambra State on Saturday arrested a 30-year-old woman, who allegedly threw her newly born baby inside a pit toilet at Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area of the state.
The suspect, Franca Udokwu, a native of Obuba Obofia Nkpor community in Idemili North LGA, was said to have admitted to the crime before leading police to the scene.

Confirming the incident, spokesperson for the police in the state, SP Haruna Mohammed, said the baby was recovered from the toilet but certified dead by a doctor.

He said, "On the 22/8/2020 at about 8:30am following a tip-off, police operatives attached to Ogidi Division arrested one Franca Udokwu ‘f’ aged 30 years of Obuba Obofia Nkpor Community in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State. Suspect allegedly gave birth to a baby boy and dumped the child inside a pit toilet inside her house.

“Upon interrogation,the suspect led police detectives to the scene of crime where the baby was recovered and taken to a hospital for medical attention but was confirmed dead on arrival by a medical doctor.” Mohammed added that the corpse was deposited at the hospital's mortuary for autopsy while case was under investigation.

He said that the suspect would be charged to court for prosecution.
