HazzanTazzan I take all your ancestors beg u, forget everything that has happened and offer a sincere apology to dtraveler for all inconveniences, and also send the money as soon as possible. You can do it here if you please, but it will be better if done over phone call. I'm not saying anyone is completely at fault, I'm saying let's be honest even though you didn't cause this, your sender did, and truth is as your sender, you have to take responsibility for his action. So please just apologise for everything.

Dtraveler please as soon as he does, accept the apology and return the gesture as appropriate.

I've been following this dispute from when it was posted. This is what I can pick from it, asides the name callings.

Dtraveler is angry as a result of a chargeback, his money been withheld and the threat of future chargebacks.

HazzanTazzan is angry because of this potential damage to reputation, he claims he proved the chargeback was not initiated by him. And that he is ready to refund the money. Also adding that the threat of future chargebacks was made out of anger and not genuinely meant.

HazzanTazzan, I can't say he is a major client or not. But the value of his business is not small as well. In business it is your responsibility to placate your client whenever dispute occurs (whether it's your fault or not) Perhaps you should have sought another seller when the first one pulled out. You should also understand that in such a case, your client has the right to be angry (not insult you though), not minding if you caused it or not. It's your duty to resolve it the best way you can, not even to block them.

I have add time to be very pissed at some guys on NL I contracted some job to, but when they explained what happened with proof and apology, I always understand. You never can tell what a sincere apology can do. Remember you may think his action won't threaten your business now. What if you're wrong? Also easy on the insults please, I know you're angry, but easy.

Dtraveler I can understand your frustration when been disappointed, I've been there, I'm still there. However you claimed you have transacted over $20k successfully with him, which was not disputed. Why throw away that long business relationship over an amount that's not upto 5% of 20k. Note, I'm not saying you should forego or forget, nor am I saying the figure is not significant. I'm saying why not seek an amicable resolution now rather than throw away an established relationship.

Also he claimed he sent you a screenshot confirming that the seller pulled out, and not him. While this should be none of your business, but you could also show some empathy, as a business person yourself, you'll know that situations beyond your control can happen.

Threatening his business may not be the best thing to do as well. There's this saying that no be one king dey street. This is not to suggest that you don't have the means. But it may not be worth it.

My Suggestion: I think y'all can still salvage this situation by resolving this and any other issue. I'm not exactly sure of who is holding whose cash. But I'll suggest you guys should net off all unresolved transactions, dtraveler should be given the naira he paid for the disputed fund and if there's any balance, it should bs sent accordingly. HazzanTazzan if you can, you could also throw in some sort of discount in the next transaction. Someone buying 1k today can buy 50k next month, don't chase clients away, well not this one.

I'll suggest that both of you let go of all grievances, no matter the damage done to your respective business or reputation, I know y'all can. Letting go is easy only if you choose to. Let it be a case of no victor, no vanquished, and carry on with your business.

My one Kobo, I would have given two kobos but economy hard. I have to spend my kobos frugally.
