I think Pinnick deserves some props.

There has been relative stability in the glass house since he took over. He has also been very pragmatic with capturing the foreign born players. I saw him smiling after the final whistle and I was like "you deserve it sir. ''

When you draw with a team that is ranked far below you, you lose points. The calculation is not all addition there are negative operations embedded in it. And besides it is a 4 year ranking period. Although the more recent results carry more weight. A bad result we got 3-4 years could also be a contributing factor.

Thank God for that Argentina win else our ranking points would have been about 611. The win against Argentina brought it back to 671

Don't say I didn't tell you.

You will see things for your self the day the ranking is released.

It was a new formation but the personnel were not equipped for it.

Idowu plays as a wing back every week for Amkar so he is very suited.

Ebuehi is pacy and loves running forward.

Shehu and Aina are more defensive minded and that does not suit the position.
the main diffrence between the 2 halves are the subs yea
difference between MAKESHIFTS and the players who own the position
lets see but things are not really going well for echiejile barring injuries/loss of form i see the competition being between aina and echiejile
some tuning needed and i'll say rorh is bringing something close to the german pattern
its been long i see 9ja play this way the hunger, the drive if you no dey careful you chop 8,, unlike the super eagles of then after 2 goals na to dey turn turn for midfield dey show off but this boys no send anybody.. All thanks to Rorh, the boys and amaju pinnick (dat man resemble who wan work) he his ambitious

Actually, I can give you 10 names. Please don't tell me that you'll rate Harry Kane above the likes of Sergio Aguero, Griezeman, Lewandowski, Gabriel Jesus, Edison Cavani, Diego Costa, Kylian Mbappe, etc.

Note, I specifically left out Messi, Cristiano, Neymar etc.

Listen, I give Mauricio Pochettinno a great deal of credit because the fact is: Harry Kane is playing way above his potential. Kane would be a failure if he leaves Spurs or if Poch leaves. Mark my word!

You will not always get the chance to switch legs...you will encounter merciless defenders that will not give you enough breathing space to move even less switch the position of the ball, he needs to stop second guessing himself and just shoot

My take on Leon Balogun
was a bit troubled by the zambian top9 overall he wasn't poor but kudos to the zambian striker
On Shehu Abdullah
Well have not seen much of aina's game this season so i can really rate him tho i know he's good but so far shehu has been superb from temporary fix he his slowly making that role his
On Mikel Agu
from the little I know about football I can as a defender/DMF it is not easy to come into a fast paced game and be in sync with the play instatly, it took him sometime to blend in, he was commiting fouls and was awarded a yellow card and i thought we were in trouble but it was like the card triggered something in his brain he became calm and grew into the game..
On Iwobi
Never knew he was that fast. Adding goals to his game will be a big plus for him
On The Oyinbo Wall
they've been playing together for about a year now, good pals on and off the pitch, these aids communication on the pitch but the problem is do good are their replacements?? how tested are they? Well unless rohr cares about the current WCQ unbeatean run i expect him to start none or just one of them against algeria (prolly leon)
On Our Midfield Combo
is the trio of Mikel-Ndidi-Onazi (M.N.O) the best we have? What would it look like having iwobi as the AMF Mikel as CMF and Ndidi as the DMF or maybe agu, ogu not forgetting onazi. We should find the best possible combo we can have taking note of players strength and weakness and then we can tweak our midfield if need be and also to find solution to the collapse of our midfield when we play without Mikel
we should also invite players we know will fit into our plan we dont need CARRY ALONG players. Also team chemisty is key we should use the friendlies to prepare and try out options.. .
On Rohr
well am not sold on the tactical aspect of his game yet.. But what i know is that the german tactitian is humble, a fast learner and never make the same mistake twice but we are heading into the world cup where before you realise you made a mistake you would be lucky to be 3 goals down hence we should play a lot of friendlies like someone stated 7friendlies from diffrent continents .. Am sure we'll get better after each game
QUESTIONS THAT NEEDS ANSWERS
are we progressing
Are we there yet?
Do we play as a team or rely on individual brillance?
Are we satisfied with the set of players invited?
Is this the best we can do?
Lots of questions that needs answers..
Unfortunately we can only get the answers on the pitch

I think we will be seeded in the pot 4. That means, we might get Iran but not Saudi
which do you think will be better.. To top our group or to qualify as the second.. (second means we'll play a team that tops) the super eagles fare better playing against top teams but when we play mid team or teams a little below average we struggle... BtW like rohr i want germany in the group stage.. If that means avoiding them in the round of 16/QF/SF

I feel good about today's game. The Zambians have no chance whatsoever to take away even a point from this.

At the 2013 nations cup the Zambians came in as defending champs, all pumped up and very boastful against an uncertain Super Eagles side, they only managed to pull a draw courtesy of a free gift from the referee. It must be said at the time, Kalusha Bwaya was a strong man in CAF.
Anyone who follows African football knows how muddy the CAF political climate can be.

These days, Kalusha's influence have weaned, we have seen the rise of Amaju Pinick to the CAF high table. Our last game against Cameroon, I saw more than a few 50/50 calls go our way. Today won't be any different.
We are beating Zambia by a 2-3 goal margin qith Victor Moses opening the floodgates from the penalty spot.

Someone bookmark this. I will be happy to be called out if this doesn't come to pass (very much unlikely).

This guys are brimming with confidence. Well he was saying he won't give his approach but if you read between the lines you'd see his game plan "soak the pressure" and "hit them on the counter". I see him play a 5-4-1 formation

Opposition Watch

Coach of Chipolopolo of Zambia, Wedson Nyirenda is bullish that his team will revenge the 2-1 home loss to Nigeria’s Super Eagles in Ndola last year and go all the way to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia on the final day of the African qualifying Group B.. In this interview with Completesportsnigeria.com‘s RICHARD JIDEAKA in Abuja, Nyirenda explains reasons the Super Eagles Eagles won in Ndola, how the Chipolopolo have improved since then, and why he is upbeat that they will win in Uyo. Excerps…
CS: How ready is your team that will face the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a World Cup qualifier on Saturday in Uyo?
NYIRENDA: We are very ready to inflict pains on Nigerians by beating your Super Eagles in Uyo and put ourselves in good position to qualify for the World Cup. If your team could beat us in our home, nothing stops us from doing so to you on Saturday in Uyo..
You sounds bullish in this your revenge mission. What gives you the courage that your team have what it takes to beat the Super Eagles in Uyo?
I am not bullish, but confident that my boys will play to form and get the three points at stake. We have a very improved squad different from the team that lost to Nigeria in the first meeting. We are ready to put our youth advantage to use and beat your Eagles

Are you going to sit back and absorb pressure from the Super Eagles and catch them on counter attack with your young, energetic and fast players?
I am not going to tell you how we would play because that will be disclosing my game plan. When we get to the pitch, we shall size up the Eagles and know how to play them. The Eagles are more experienced and exposed, but we shall play to our strength.
From the way you talk, you don’t seem to harbour any fear for the Super Eagles…
You just called your team Super Eagles. Ordinarily, the name should strike fear on countries in Africa, but we don’t fear any body. We respect the Super Eagles for the big players and what they are, but we don’t fear them. We have players who can match your team head to head and toe to toe. It will be 11 players on either side of the pitch .
What makes you believe that you can beat the Super Eagles side that defeated you on your home ground?
We weren’t expecting a defeat when the Super Eagles beat us in Ndola last year, but my thinking then was that we did enough to get at worst a draw. Again, I was barely 15 days on the job as head coach when we played that match. Since then, we have remained unbeaten and have improved very much. I inherited a team which I have been able to turn around to my taste and delight of Zambians

Nobody gave your team a chance against Algeria, but you beat them home and away. How did you manage to perform such ‘magic’?
It’s no magic, but the determination of the players and hunger to go the World Cup. We are focused and we play our game anywhere. To get a win in Constantine in Algeria was a big achievement for this young team, and this has given us the belief that we can beat any team, not excluding Nigeria. We know you beat Cameroon here, but we also know you lost to South Africa at same venue.
Your final word on the match on Saturday…
It is going to be a tough game, but I can only see us winning. The expectation from Nigerians will be high and that will put pressure on your team, and we will capitalize on that to win.
Do you feel any pressure to win and do you have any injury concern?
Pressure? Not really, but I could be tensed before the game. The pressure is on Nigeria. I have a couple of injury worries which we have taken care of.
See you on Saturday coach Nyirenda…
You didn’t wish me good luck, but we will see after our win

https://www.completesportsnigeria.com/interview-nyirenda-zambia-eagles/
... His words sharp n direct like a military man.. He his confident i give that to him.. True he has a different team but he should know we do also this is not the same super eagles that played in ndola.. You know the last coach that was as confident as this guy??...
BtW he expect Nigeria to be under pressure well we'll be okay if we dont get anxious (this reminds me of mickael2 's 1hour mark) we have to remain calm even if we conceed first but if otherwise i smell trouble... But Nigeria will be okay I BELIEVE
