I must commend this initiative by the FG. Sincerely speaking, if we continue at this rate, in 5 years time we will become a global model for E-Government. I saw something like this implemented in South Korea, very efficient. I don't feel like bailing out of naija again oh. grin grin

Religion / Re: What Comes To Your Mind When You Hear The Word 'AMORC'? by nejifresh(m): 10:38pm On Nov 30, 2014
AMORC is a school of life. If you are interested in understanding the mysteries of your self and the laws of God, and if you are prepared to become a servant of light and all that is Good, then you will find it worthwhile. But if you are looking for quick money, mysterious powers or any funny stuff then am sorry cos you will be wasting your time.

This could be a great tool but you need to work more on it, search result is only bringing Calabar despite the fact that I am using it feom Lagos. However, this is a very nice concept. I will wait for updates.

Thanks bro. We are posting locations for lagos. The app will automatically update itself and provide you with the locations once we post them.

Politics / Find Polling Units Using This App by nejifresh(m): 9:53am On Nov 26, 2014
Hi guys,

I just launched my mobile app called Finditt. This app allows you to find stuff like the nearest ATM from your location to the closest Hotel or even something as trivial as a Shoemaker around you. We are adding polling units as we speak. All you need to do is download it.

The unique feature of this app is that it works offline, so whether you have a data connection or not you can find things around your location. This is really handy when you consider how epileptic our networks are. So download Finditt from Google play or follow this link to download - www.findittlive.com

Politics / 2013 Man Of The Year - The Nigerian Soldier by nejifresh(m): 10:29pm On Jan 01, 2014
On my way to abj for xmas hols i sat near this young guy, he was about the same age as i, clean shaven and all. I noticed that on his other side was this pretty lady, he had his arm around her in some sort of consoling embrace. I couldn't help but observe the tension between them. We struck a little conversation and i got to know that he was a Lieutenant in the Army. He was just deployed to Yobe, a few weeks after his wedding. This guy had this sad look that almost tore my heart out. Going to the battle front, to fight the insurgency, not sure of coming back alive to his young wife, maybe they were expecting a baby, i couldn't help but wonder... Here i am going on a joy trip, lots of booze and honeys awaiting me in abj, but this brother here will expect nothing but bullets and bombs at his destination.

Anyway to cut my story short, most of us don't realize what others sacrifice so we can have peace, so we can sleep with both eyes closed. I dont care about which politicians did what or whatever, i feel the 2013 MAN OF THE YEAR should go to those gallant men and women in uniform. God bless them all and keep them safe. AMEN

Politics / Re: 37 PDP House Of Reps Members Decamp To The APC by nejifresh(m): 5:51pm On Dec 18, 2013
There need not necessary be factions before one can cross - carpet but crisis. Though five PDP governors have moved to APC, Aliyu Babangida and Sule Lamido have remained in the PDP to make it appear as if there is crisis in the party so as to pave the way for legislators to cross - carpet to the APC.

I think the section specifically says "factions". Eventually the matter will go to court, those defectors may lose their seats..just saying
Politics / Re: 37 PDP House Of Reps Members Decamp To The APC by nejifresh(m): 5:21pm On Dec 18, 2013
Correct me if i'm wrong, but i think there's a section in the constitution that says their seats will be declared vacant if they defect. Since a court ruled that there is no faction in pdp, i think we should get ready for new elections for the 37 seats. Kai see chance to contest o.. wink cheesy cheesy

Education / Re: ASUU Strike: A Lecturer Speaks by nejifresh(m): 1:15pm On Oct 11, 2013
I'm of the opinion that our University Education needs to be privatized, and student loans should be issued by gov. This will encourage competition and improve the quality of education. It will also make students sit up and stop running around with one cult gang or the other.

In our current system students pass through the current university system and come out worse, less creative and extremely stereotyped due to the cram and pass that is encouraged.

Way back in my final year 2006 we had this course on Microprocessors, at that time the Centrino processor was popular. During one of the classes I asked the lecturer why the Centrino pcs last longer as compared with other processors. The lecturer didn't take it well, rained abuses on me and made sure I got an E. (I am a professional programmer, even back in school). So you see this is the typical attitude of lecturers in our schools.
If I'm to be sincere to myself I didn't learn anything in Uni. Only how to survive. Even though I graduated with a 2-1 in EE Engineering. Was a waste of time. How many of our graduates can design a hoe. Talkless of bulldozers etc. Lecturers still teach 1968 curriculum.
Politics / Re: What Happened To Tinapa? by nejifresh(m): 9:22am On Sep 04, 2013
solomon111: it is not dead.
Tinapa is beginning to generate revenues and with time the ROI will grow.
The last NBA meeting was held in tinapa and they were so impressed with the place that they promise to keep holding their programmes there, which means more money for the state govt.
Various music and movie studios are also opening in tinapa along other things.

My brother don't mind the guy. He's ignorant. Currently in order to jumpstart business activities, the state gov is building cluster services around tinapa. One of them is the Calabar International Convention Centre(CICC). This edifice will be the first of its kind in Nigeria. I hear its opening up in 2014. I recently attended an IT conference in South Korea and we stayed at the ICC there. It beats any hotel experience hands down. This is what the present State Gov is trying to build. I give kudos to Liyel Imoke's government. Despite the paucity of funds he's still managed to keep the ship afloat. Imagine what Cross River would have been like if they had the funds available to Lagos, Rivers, Akwa Ibom etc.
