pharaohmonch:
I am Just going to drop this here.

The developed countries always look for a way out of difficult situations; from food with green houses and genetically modified foods due to their seasons and the threat of Frost for the better part of the year to Home heaters to save them from the chills. These countries do not have crude oil and as such have enriched the oil rich African/Arab nations over the past years due to their dependent on our black Gold and what have we given them in return? Terrorism, Heightened Corruption and no recourse to develop our own countries because we have black Gold and the developed countries will pay us for it.

These countries in the late 90's and early millennial started to think in the line of bio-diesel and made engines from VW, Mercedes and a host of other reputable car companies running on 100% bio-diesel and variants that used 20%, 5% and the likes, but again they realised that in the long run they would enrich Africa and they would have to source the Jatropha, Moringa and Cassava form Africa. So they came up with the excuse that bio diesel was competing with edible food and due to their limited agricultural abilities they placed less emphasis on these engines.

Now they know that even the best countries in Africa; the likes of Kenya and South Africa still have power cuts and they probably have not power cuts in the last 50+ years, Electric is the way to go. This would save them the Billions of Dollars that would have gone to oil producing African countries and OPEC nations; Yes they solved their problem.

Instead of following them to this electric race where we would play catch up as we have played in the last 2 centuries; can we solve our problems for once? China is proof that a nation can only overtake by solving its problems. In my opinion we have all it takes, while I am not saying we should not solve our electricity problems, what we can do is use what we have ...990,000 sq kilometres of fertile land, all year round sunshine , Crude oil and a huge population; We can build our bio-diesel engines (the technology is existent), improve their electric car to carry hybrid solar panels as roofs and a host of other things. People we have the chance lets use it to our advantage.

You are a genius!!!! Duff my hat

Family / Re: Nigerian Men In USA, Killing Their Imported Wives From Nigeria. by nejifresh(m): 11:21pm On Oct 12, 2016
This issue is often too common. I have an uncle who has been in the US for over 40 years. His first wife passed away, and 10 years later he comes home to pick a village girl and marries her. She gets there, becomes a nurse and next thing you know she divorces my uncle, throws him out and renders him useless. Fortunately he is a Professor.

I have another uncle in Atlanta who has also faced the same issue. This one was not so lucky, he now lives on the street or begs for where to sleep.

The question is why does this keep recurring? I think the women folk have something dark within them that needs to be addressed. My advice to men bringing their wives over - SIGN A PRENUP.

I built an app called Nairachat. Basically its an app for meeting Nigerians all over the globe. Its features include Video Call, Chat, File Sharing like Whatsapp etc. Nairachat lets you find people from your Tribe or Religion using your GPS location and other search paramaters.

The app is very neatly designed and has more than 100 downloads and registered profiles.. I am selling the app for personal reasons, but its a decision i did not arrive at lightly.

If you are interested, you can call or text me on 09073419738 or send email to nejifresh@gmail.com

Nice innovation, but the problem with naija products or services is that they like affiliating with already sucessful products, facebook was succesful a nigerian made a social network called facekobo, @OP the brand Nairaland inspired u to use the name Nairachat right?? guess what by doing so u are only gonna promote d brand called Nairaland the more, imagine if someone that does not know u created that app suggests it to his friend..this will be their conversation:
Boy1: Oboy check out this new app, make ah send am give u..
Boy2: The app good oh, na Nairaland people do am shey?
Boy1: (is ignorant of the real founder) E be like oh.
Boy2: This Nairaland people sabi something ohh.
guess what, u have just help promoted nairaland ones again.. This thing called brand awareness is very important
company's pay more than $120,000 just to promote their brand..
Try and change the name of your app and do a relaunch if u can please, If u call ur app Nairachat people will think it is actually related to bankers, accountants social network, dem no go join.. The name WhatsApp was Gotten from Whats Up (Cool right) .. Give ur app a name that sounds fun..
U said the app does video calls right ? Why not call it Live(u can communicate live with video call) or Relate(u can interact with people) or any other name that potrays waht it does

Very sound advice though. I appreciate. I'll consider it. The basic premise of this app is to meet Nigerians wherever you are. Nairachat sounded more like it.

Hi guys,

I thought i should just announce the launch of my new app Nairachat. I created this app as a simple way for Nigerians to meet other Nigerians wherever they are.

Nairachat has all the cool chat features you find on Whatsapp as well as Video Call like Skype. The coolest thing is that you can do a video conference with over 100 people on the app. It uses your location to show you people around you, and you can search based on Tribe, Religion, State of origin etc.

P.S: I am creating a paid ad on Nairaland this weekend so MODs pls dont ban me.

In my very humble opinion, i think the average Nigerian (Including myself) is a simpleton. Here's why:

2 to 3 months ago, banks refused to receive dollar deposits. The excuse then was that there was excess dollar liquidity in the system. Banks were even claiming that their vaults were filled with dollars. Naira even appreciated.

Presently we are experiencing dollar shortage. Naira will soon hit 500. The excuse we are given is the oil price. But nobody is asking how we went from excess dollars to no dollars within a very short timeframe. . How did all the dollars evaporate? I think something else is responsible for this dollar hike. All we are hearing is oil price fall and i'm not buying into that BS.

Pls someone should enlighten me oh.

Phones / How To Load Your Phone From Any Of Your Bank Accounts And Get Free Airtime by nejifresh(m): 5:03pm On Sep 18, 2015
Hello guys,

I have been thinking of creating an app that solves a real problem. So i came up with a mobile app that lets people easily recharge their phones from any of their bank accounts without having to dial any USSD code. I call this app OneRecharge.

Ever since GTBank launched *737* Amount# i have stopped buying airtime from the streets. I load directly from my GTB Account. The other banks have theirs too but i can't recall their loading codes and i often need to load credit from my First Bank or EcoBank or Sterling Bank depending on where i have cash at that time.

OneRecharge solves this problem by providing a platform where you can load airtime from any of your accounts by simply entering the amount you need and selecting the bank of choice. The app dials the code for you and in a few seconds you get your airtime. I've tested this app with over 100 folks and it seems its the fastest way of getting airtime. The app is safe oh.. It does not ask you to enter any bank details cos the banks already have your number, its just a quick dialer for buying airtime.

OneRecharge is free and is available for download on Google Play Store and Blackberry World. (An IOS version is in the works). You can download it on www.onerecharge.net.

P.S. I am giving free airtime to the first 1000 folks who download my app and register.

Cheers everyone. TGIF

Hoqe this ain't a scam app

Nope its not a scam. We don't even take any of your details. Its pure USSD. This is how it works- Instead of you dialing a lengthy bank recharge code, the app dials it for you when you select a particular bank. Simple!
