Did you get the mail too? The test is a shl test type. So you need to prepare with shl materials. A Dropbox has already been shared. You can use it too. Good luck. |

Oiyza: lol perhaps. But I think most people that didn't get to be invited was as a result of age limit or nysc Nah, I contest that because am 24 and I have completed my nysc. I graduated with a very strong 2.1 result and I read a social science course from a federal university. So why did I not get an invite. |

Good morning all, finally, I did my interview yesterday. Well the same method applies. The group discussion first and then the normal interview. My topic was the successes and failures of frsc in Nigeria for the past 30years. After the group discussion, the interview followed immediately. I was asked, 1.tell me about yourself. 2. Sell your products to me. Because I currently work in a marketing company. 3. Tell me all you know about pwc. 4. Tell me about a time you brought a contrary opinion in your group and what was the outcome. 5. Tell me about a time you were faced with something against your ethics. 6. Tell me about a time you failed and how you handled it. 7. Tell me about what you've done to improve yourself technically. Thats all I could remember. My interview lasted for about 30mins. Goodluck guys. I have done my best. My dear heavenly father please pick my call |

The age issue is very funny. Many people speculated here that age might be the reason why some were not invited. If I could remember clearly, the age limit is 26 years old ba. I am not up to 26 and I have not received any invite since I did my biodata update. Please what's going on. I need answers Cheers |

MikeAsher2: The 265 invited candidates will likely interview at Landmark Towers, Lagos, I think.... Yeah, thanks for your prompt response. Although I don't know the figure I understand that. I boldly highlighted a sentence. Please kindly explain the bolded sentence. Thanks in anticipation |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Pwc Nigeria Graduate Recruitment 2018 by nena2014: 11:03pm On May 15, 2018 |
MikeAsher2: About 265 were invited for interviews at the HQ, Lagos. I don't know if other offices are also interviewing but I doubt.
I know someone that had to borrow cash to get flight ticket from the UK to come, well after schedule talks with Toyin. I believe a central point for interviews is the idea; anyone with contrary info can post.
Also a few have missed their interviews and many more might miss. Even if there are offers, a portion will reject. Normal Normal...
Interviews are Mondays to Fridays until mid June, bar public hols and such. Please explain to me. I don't understand. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Pwc Nigeria Graduate Recruitment 2018 by nena2014: 9:50am On May 10, 2018 |
MikeAsher2: Alright, so yesterday I met up with someone from on here. She lived close to my office and suggested a 'hang-out' to talk interviews. During lunch break, I spared about 45 mins. I showed up with a sheet of paper and some questions. She was surprised. Lol.
We asked each other questions at one KFC joint, and she was even a bit disappointed that she performed a bit poorly especially with interviews next week. Lol.
I was a bad-ass pretend HR, and then she asked me questions and I tried answering her. We reviewed notes and noted areas for development.
Off course, you know the likely first questions would be: "Tell us about yourself?" if they didn't already ask about how your group members performed. Then they would likely ask "Why PwC?" and these could come in various formats of course.
Expect a lot of competency questions. After she tried her hands on the intro questions, she flopped in most of the other questions. Yet these are the same questions that have been posted on NL since 2013. They are still on here. I asked her if she saw the questions, she said yes, so I asked why she didn't answer very well. Nice one Mr HR |

ibnchokomah: So I am not too good at telling stories but this is my advice to everyone 1) Don't be in a haste to talk during the group discussions until you have
1) picked a group leader 2)picked a time keeper 3) picked a presenter.
When you do that, the work becomes easier for you. The topics are ones that anyone can relate to so you might be tempted to talk so much. Remember you have just 15 minutes so discuss the most important points of the topic before you. My group's was on Agriculture and the Nigerian Economy. Yours could be something else.
For the one on one interview, they are very nice people but I advice you read up how to answer situational judgement questions because it was just what I discussed with them all through after the preliminary tell me about yourself and why PWC questions.
I'll point out some questions I was asked.. 1) How do you keep relationships 2) What's the biggest finance intensive project you have carried out and what were the lessons learnt. 3) Tell me of a situation where you received a negative feedback and how did you handle it. 4) What instances can you give that portrayed you as a good follower.
They asked many more that were specific to my CV and what I did during service and in school. Guys prepare for more than 45 minutes of discussions. Mine was about 50 minutes there about.
All the best in your interviews and may the odds be in your favor.
I was also asked to tell them about a current world happening and my opinion on it. So be updated on events going on in the world Thanks so much. And success ahead |

Thanks.
Just like I expected, this year is gonna be some tight mouth period. And to think, my interview is still weeks away. Might as well look for some private prepping since this is my first interview in Nigeria.
And I was warned not to come to Nigeria! Hi, I sent you a mail. |

Alexy2014: The interview went well. It was basically a group exercise and one on one interview. You guys can check 2017 and 2016 thread it will be very helpful. Good evening, am happy that your interview went well. I must commend you for bringing out time to comment on this thread. It is greatly appreciated. However, your reference to 2017 and 2016 won't be possible if they refused to provide information during their time. Well am not saying that you should do anything against your ethics but my question is, what would be the reference for subsequent years? Well my interview is still far and I hope for the best, I also promise to provide relevant information after my interview. Dropping valuable tips on nairaland won't reduce my chances of getting the job. I will forever cherish the maturity by those in the 2013 set. Cheers |

JoeEINSTEIN: Now, I want to say I owe my scaling through entirely to God. Yes, I'm a strong believer in God like that.
Then, I'd also say I did my homework thoroughly by studying through past threads, picking up tips here and there and finally, having the PwC core values as the framework with which I structured and patterned my selections.
However, I discovered (subjective opinion) that one may not be able to entirely (100%) conform to those values as options would be shuffled to make you prioritize some values over some when they're consistently being put together. So the thing to do is ensure at least 85-95% fit to PwC core values by being consistent with certain choices everytime they are brought up. That is, create an overall persona that fits at least 85-95% into PwC core values.
For me, I consistently sold myself as someone that loves people, outgoing, an ideas-person, changing to adapt to new environment, doesn't conform to rules and status quo, analytical and perceptive. But the trade off was I had to consistently score low on trusting people (honestly, I thought I wouldn't go through for that, it was a fear I struggled with after the OPQ. But then, God did His thing).
So, conclusively, be consistent, be wise (truthful at times, tactful at times), and be balanced.
Above all pray and be a believer. God will do His job, but you must also do your job, but don't relent on your job.
Through this whole process, I have found strength and faith consistently through this verse of the Bible:
"For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them."—Ps 44:3
My philosophy is "Work as if it all depends on you and Pray as if it all depends on God."
Could help you too. Peace. I actually clicked least likely on trusting people because that's my personality . And I was scared too. Which makes me wonder how I scaled through. |
