Hmm. It can work o, but requires a lot of work. Money is not everything. U have to calculate the overall cost, be very objective when measuring the pros and cons. And you guys should do it together.

1. What plans do you have for regular visits, either on his side or yours? Apart from the fact that you guys need time together as a new couple, if you guys plan to go into baby-making soon, the distance can make things tricky. U guys need to work out how regularly visits will occur, and who goes where.

2. Find out exactly what work entails. Is it the kind of job where you get confirmed within one year? Is there a possibility of working out a transfer to your base after a while? That's a plus. On the other hand, will u be stressed on the job? Working late? Find out. Cos nothing breeds suspicion faster than u coming home by 8pm and crashing out due to exhaustion, and hubby tries and tries unsuccessfully to reach you via phone. U get the picture?

3. Just know that if you move, most of the work of keeping your relationship alive will be on your head. It's the truth. Basically, you are managing 2 households. And it can get lonely especially if you have no prior experience of living alone or you don't have any support system in the new town. How do u guys hope to manage that situation. It can also be hectic, esp once kids start coming. Doing school run, hospital visits, etc in addition to work can be stressful, and you can end up even resenting hubby for not being there. It's irrational, but it does happen.

So, all in all, a lot to think about. Goodluck on your decision.

Please people, I'm not trying to derail the thread, but I seem to be having issues with my diamond visa debit card(the green one) I've never used it for international transactions cos my GTB MasterCard has always been handy.
With recent developments, I tried switching to diamond. I dusted my card, changed the i-pin, and yet, my card is still been declined by the sites that I use my GTB MasterCard on. what could be the issue?

Sorry to interrupt o, but are u applying for youwin 4? There is no need for a business plan now, all you need is to develop your concept note by answering the questions there. The business plan will come in the second stage. I'm just saying, so that you don't waste more time waiting for a business plan that you will not need just yet.

No o! Your total cash requested for ie 9M, is 100% not 90%. So your capital cost should not be more than 40% of 9M. 4M is about 44.4% of 9M. Do your math again.

expected sales within the next 12months; do I put a ball park figure for the 12 months, or do I have to break it down by month? By month, I mean units sold per month, then amount generated, then the total for 12 months.

I tried saving my application cos I'm not through with all d questions. after I successfully saved it, I got a mail telling me that I have until the 15th to complete my application and send it. It's really giving me wahala, as I'm now rushing to get it done, which can't be good for my application's accuracy.

anybody have a similar issue? should I ignore d mail and continue at my pace? I hope to be fully done by the 20th; its the finances that's holding me and I like to be thorough.

@catlanta: see, you know one thing that is worse than poor service, is misinforming your clients. And im talking deliberate misinformation. You told me twice, TWICE on this forum that my items S1411131787. had been shipped early last week, even though my account still read: prepared for shipping. Its one week now, and I was looking forward to picking my items, then I suddenly get a mail and a status update on my account showing that my items have just been assigned to a batch for shipping!! Not clearing custons, not shipped, but assigned to a batch. At first, i thought it was a fluke and decided to give it 24hrs for the real message to come, but it still stands till now. My items have not even left the warehouse in US, not to talk of shipping to Nigeria!!

Its wrong. All kinds of wrong. The items are not business items, so Im not suffering as much as other people here whose business depends on your shipping. But I respect integrity, and I need to recieve correct information so as to plan myself, and you are failing me on both counts.

I will not be bothering you about my shipments agian, either via email, phone call, facebook or here. The items are clothings for my son, which I can buy anywhere. Ship it at your time. Im not even going to complain about my other order 1411139457 running cuncurrently on circuit atlantic. That one, from all indications will be coming by may next year, since its taking one month plus for items ordered from walmart to get to your warehouse. Obviously walmart is sending a messenger on foot to deliver it to you, item by item. It is well. Ive given up.


At least one good thing has come out of this: Ive realized that I do have other shipping options, and I will be exploring these other alternatives. Good luck as you run your business into the ground.

The booking was shipped earlier in the week and is currently enroute Lagos. We estimate that you should be able to take delivery by next week. This is however based on customs operations. While the customs shutdown is officially over we expect that they will take some time to get back up to speed as negotiations are still underway. We'll keep you updated.
