Family / Re: I Just Discovered My Wife's Past, How She Lived Her Life While On Campus by NerdyAboki(m): 2:27pm On Oct 27, 2021
LiegeMan:
Anger And Vengeance Is Taking The Best Part Of Me

hello nairalanders,

Sorry to disturb your peace but this has been going on in my mind for long and I really need suggestions on how to overcome it. I gave in to ire/anger and it's gradually taking the best part of me since I made a little discovery about my wife's past and how she lived her life while in the campus. I will try and make it as snappy as possible in order not to make you spend much of your time on my case.

Now, it goes this way, my wife came from a middle class family and she attended one of the best and prestigious higher institutions in the country, they're not too rich and they're not poor, infact, their family name can't be in the same sentence with poverty. She had everything she needed and lived her life to the fullest while in the campus, she flirted with and dated the best guys in the campus, she visited many night clubs and other exuberant and flamboyant life style that pertains to the campus.

Now on my own part, I attended one of the Colleges of Education that littered our country,
I did everything all by myself, I sponsored myself throughout my stay in the college, I did all manner of odd jobs to survive, sometimes, I would miss lectures due to lack of cash, no one to assist, all these limitations made me not to pay attention towards the opposite sex as I was busy struggling to survive and hoping unto God for a miracle.

Right now, all I am feeling is anger, ire, all I want now is vengeance knowing fully well that while I was suffering and struggling to survive, fasting without praying, carrying bricks and block from one floor to the other, jumping from one market to the other hawking my wares, that my wife was busy somewhere enjoying and partying away her future, right now, I want to have my revenge, I want to live those life that I wasn't opportune to live, I want to flirt and have fun with many ladies both young and old, I want to visit as many night clubs as possible now that money is flowing in, I careless about the consequences and how she may feel, these are exactly what I'm feeling now.

this can't keep troubling me that's why I brought it here for suggestions and elderly advice.

Oga, just be calming down plix. There's no connection between the separate past you both lived and the future you want to throw away your marriage for. Emotions, however unreasonable, are valid, but just be calming down so that that unreasonableness does not manifest into actions you'll regret.

Obatala7Kronos:

The answer is very simple. The only Nigerian tribe or ethnicity that worships money and that can kill their father, mother, brother, sister, neighbor & king for money are the despicable, incestuous & cannibalistic barbarians that originated from the East of the Niger.

I despise these bunch of loud-mouthed & harebrained people so much because they shout the loudest, yet they are the vilest & the most atrocious of all creatures that walk on the Earth’s surface.

I have never seen any tribe or ethnicity justify crimes like these filthy & greedy people.

If you accuse them of a misdeed, they will quickly remind you that your own people too are culpable of such crimes, as if you’re in competition.

Their industrious nature and much vaunted “Business Acumen” are covered in the spectre of lawlessness & malefaction.

They are experts at removing the specks out of other people eyes but do not know how to remove the beams from their own greedy & covetous eyes.

They hate Buhari more than anything you can imagine but sincerely speaking, they are ONE BILLION TIMES worse than Buhari.

Now that Governor Wike of Rivers State is championing the fight against the FG on VAT collections, he has suddenly become their darling once again. This is the same Wike they were calling for his head with an 100Million Naira bounty just a few months ago.

Fight for them or massage their ego today, you’ll become their hero. Chastise or try to correct them tomorrow and they’ll demand for your head on a spike.

Such is the characteristics of the I.Q of an average Igbo man - which is minus 20.

Lastly, If you find yourself overseas and you decide, out of foolishness & stupidity, to commingle with the Igbos, (be it their men or women), then your chances of ending up in jail, being killed or being deported is 97%. You can take it to the world bank.

Baba this is too much nau. Beware of the dangers of a single story.

Romance / Re: Why Has Nature Chosen To Be Unfair To Men? by NerdyAboki(m): 10:22am On Sep 07, 2021
From an evolutionary perspective, it's because sperm is cheap but eggs aren't. The average fertile male releases about 250 million spermatozoa per ejaculation, and he can ejaculate multiple times a day. A woman releases only one ovum per month. The principle of demand and supply, where the more scarce a sought after resource is the more expensive it becomes, implies that the ovum is more expensive than the sperm by far.

One man can literally impregnate a thousand women in the span of 9 months, a woman can only be pregnant for one man in the same span of time. We're actually driven by that instinctive primordial drive to successfully transfer our genes. Because of the scarcity of eggs in comparison to sperm in nature, the bearers of this gamete (females) are more likely to be accepted without too much screening, egg is scarce resource, so where ever you find, fertilize is, roughly speaking. I know we don't consciously think of it that way, but that's what's under the hood.

Las las, erizwateriz.
