Rivers State House of Assembly lawmaker Honourable Lolo Isaiah Opuende has warned Governor Siminalayi Fubara against using his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a strategy to establish dominance over FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and the state legislature.

Speaking during an interview from 7:49 with Nigerian Info FM, Opuende acknowledged the governor’s constitutional right to change party affiliation. “The governor has right and the freedom to associate the constitution, so he empowered him. So we have nothing to say. If he has defected, it is a welcome development.
