RAMPAGING cult gang popularly known as Badoo which has for some time now laid siege to Ikorodu and environs maiming and killing innocent residents seemed to be daring the Police clampdown order on their murderous activities with their recent onslaught on two churches in Owode-Oniri, about 13 kilometers away from Ikorodu two; killing four persons. Sources who gave the names of the churches as Celestial and Cherubim and Seraphim said the parishioners had barely ended a vigil on that Monday night and were about to sleeping before leaving for their various destinations at dawn when the blood-thirsty gang scaled an uncompleted building adjacent to the two churches, armed with their mystery stones with which they smashed the heads of their victims including a nine months old baby identified as Dabira and her unnamed mother as well as another one year-old boy called Ayomide. But the mother of the one year-old boy whose name was also not immediately known but simply identified as MummyAyomide sources hinted, was rushed to the near medical center where she later gave up the ghost. A ‘Man O’ War officer serving with the Lagos State Task Force and Special Offences, Mr. Moses Prince has been jailed for one year for stealing a GSM handset belonging to one Pastor Kingley of Christ Church Fadeyi, Lagos. THOSE clamouring for the immediate arraignment of detained Nigeria’s billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudime Onuamadike alias Evans may have to wait a little longer as a federal high court in Lagos has ordered his continued custody with the Police pending when all the necessary investigations were carried out. Informed Police sources hinted Crimeworld weekly that some faceless allies of the notorious kidnappers had hired some lawyers and approached a Lagos High Court yesterday, June 28, 2017 for the enforcement of Evans fundamental human rights; decrying Police continuous detention without trial of the suspect. It was not immediately possible to get the suit number as of the time of filing this report but sources said the Commissioner of Police CP Fatai Owoseni was the focal point of the suit while the Officer- in- Charge OC SARS was joined as co-defendant. But describing the suit as laughable, a senior source hinted further that the Police had earlier gotten a Federal High court order to keep Evans in its custody pending the determination of the outcome of its investigations. DETERMINED to clean Lagos State of all manner of crimes and criminality, the Ste Police Command has continued its onslaught on militants by raiding kidnappers’ hideout at the Ishawo creeks Ikorodu, Lagos where it and discovered 7 Army and Police bullet proof vests, eight ballistic helmets and 9 live jackets from a new kidnappers. The hideout was discovered at about by a team of Ikorodu SARS and volunteer Police Superintendent of Police SP Godfrey Soriweiu. This success came two weeks after the discovery of a similar hideout in Ishawo, Ikorodu Lagos. The suspected kidnappers who were preparing their early morning meal scampered into safety on sighting the special team and in the process abandoned several items. Items recovered by the team includes, a speeds boat belonging to the suspected kidnappers, The team thereafter, destroyed the hideout before moving the recovered items out of the location. EMMOTIONS ran high recently at Akpabuyo local government area of Cross River State after two little girls who were branded witches, tied and beaten up to pulp narrated their ordeals in the hands of their tormentors. The girls who were simply identified as Mary Amiema aged 10 and 13 respectively who reports say escaped death by the whiskers said both their uncle and aunties accused them of bewitching them adding that they were forcefully taken to a church where they were compelled to confess what they knew nothing about. CrimeWorld weekly was told that their traumatized farther had to relocate the rather confused children to Asanting village in Ikono local government area of Akwa Ibom State to save them from the claws of their traducers Mary who spoke first said, “That faithful day I was taken to Church and accused of being a witch. Uncle Victor asked that I confess that I am a witch or else when we get back to the house he will beat me up and use nails to pierce my body, but I told him that I was not a witch. The next day Adiaha Akpan (who is their step sister) said she had a dream where I and Aniema my sister came to take her child away and that I wanted to kill her. She told Uncle Victor about the dream and he came and took us to the bush and started flogging us”. On her part, Aniema who corroborated Mary’s account said, “When they went away I managed to untie myself and ran away but a piece of broken bottle pierced my feet but I kept on running. The uncle caught up with me and continued with the flogging using big sticks and I was crying. FOUR suspected cyber crime experts who allegedly hacked into the official website of the West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination WASSCE have been arrested by Police detectives attached to the Inspector-General of Police IGP’s monitoring unit. The suspects according to sources were monitored and apprehended at their various locations across the country following complaints by management of the examination body that it had every reason to believe that certain criminally minded individuals had hacked into its website and were using it to milk unsuspecting candidates of their money. Sources said the suspects have made confessional statements to the Police admitting culpability including collecting different sums from their prey. A statement by the Force public relations officer, CSP Moshood Jimoh gave the names of the suspects as Okon Effiong, A 200 level Public Health undergraduate student of the University of Calabar, Chijioke Onwuachu Modestus, a 300 level Cumputer Science Undergraduatte student of the Michael Okpara University Umudike, Samuel Odinaka Onwurah and Patrick Uchechukwu Nwodo. According to the Force image maker, whereas, Chijioke Onwuachu Modestus was arrested at Umuiahia and confessed to have collected ₦400 per paper from numerous candidates, to the tune of seventy thousand naira (N70,000) Samuel Odinaka Onwurah 20 years-old was arrested at Kutunku extension layout in Gwagwalada, Abuja and confessed to have collected the sum of ninety thousand naira (#90,000) from various victims. On his part, Patrick Uchechukwu Nwodo 30 years old was trailed and picked up at Abakpa, Nike in Enugu. He also confessed to have collected the sum of forty thousand naira (#40,000) from unsuspecting while Okon Effiong Joseph, 20 years-old and a 200 level student of Public Health Department University of Calabar, was arrested at Calabar. He too admitted to have collected the sum of one hundred and twenty thousand naira (N120,000) from different candidates. Continuing, ACP Moshood Jimoh said, “The 2017 diet of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates was held throughout Nigeria and indeed, in the other four member countries of the Council, namely; Ghana, Sierra-Leon, Liberia and the Gambia, between February 20, and May 12, 2017. At the commencement of the examination, the Council observed that some individuals were operating criminally inclined “rouge” websites, under different names, so- How UNICAL, MOU Undergraduate Students, Others Were Arrested Over Fake WAEC Websites liciting for candidates sitting the examination, to pay money into their bank accounts, in exchange for the provision of worked solutions/ answers to questions of subjects being taken on any particular day as the examination was in progress. Consequently, upon receipt of a petition by the Authorities of West African Examination Council (WAEC), alleging that some fraudsters were operating illegal websites under different names soliciting for candidates in the February/May 2017 West African Examination Council (WAEC) to pay certain amount of money into bank account in exchange for posting of worked solutions and answers via WhatsApp at about 20 or 30 minutes into the commencement of each paper and in the process fraudulently and dubiously dispossessed their unsuspecting victims of their hard earned money. Against this background, personnel of the Inspector General of Police Monitoring Unit swung into action, after painstaking and meticulous investigation that spanned several weeks arrested the above mentioned suspects. The suspects will be charged to court on completion of investigation, while effort is being intensified to arrest other operators of these illegal/rogue websites still at large. Meanwhile, members of the Public are assured of the renewed commitment and dedication of the Force to stamp out criminality throughout the country. POLICE detectives attached to Ariaria Divisional Headquarters Aba, Abia State have uncovered a church building which served the dual purpose as a baby making factory. Police sources said five young girls at various stages of pregnancy were rescued during a raid on the church build located on 252 Faulks Road Aba adding that the Pastor of the unnamed church, Christopher Tochukwu Adebanya had been arrested. Commissioner of Police, Abia State Police Command CP Leye Oyebade while briefing newsmen said the Police acted on a tip off that a particular man and his wife had camped some young girls in their church for the purpose of breeding babies and selling them to ready buyers. The Police boss added that some of the girls had confirmed that the pastor of the church sleeps with them at will stressing that one of the girls had informed that the Pastor’s wife who is presently on the run was in the habit of forcefully selling their babies moments after delivery without remitting the proceed to them. According to CP Oyabade, “On May 24,2017 at about 1200hrs, information was received that a storey building located at No. 252 Faulks Road Aba, which doubles as a Church and Medical centre was converted to baby factory. Based on this information, a team of Policemen attached to Ariaria Division led by the DPO stormed the premises where five pregnant young girls were rescued and one Christopher Adebanya Tochukwu, the Pastor of the Church and the operator of the clinic who earlier fled the scene was arrested. Upon interrogation, one of the pregnant young girls alleged that she was raped by the so called pastor that morning while another alleged that the pastor attempted to rape her if not for a broken piece of glass she used in self – defense. However, another girl claimed that her two month old baby delivered therein was forcefully taken away from her by the pastor’s wife (now at large) and sold to an unknown person. A two week old premature baby girl rescued at the scene has been taken to a motherless baby’s home for care and custody.
