I applied on the 10th, I've not heard anything yet. May God help us o. bantonbow: |
Congratulations to you! It's getting closer to my application submission date. Make I dey expect anytime from now. bantonbow: |
I also submitted my application may 10 and did biometrics and medical on the 18th. I'm still awaiting response. Btw, is anyone going to Perth, Curtin University, to be precise? Please, let's link up. samlaura16: |
I'll advice that you do an extensive search online as I have very limited knowledge in this regard. fastseo: |
Your tuition fee deposit depends on the school you choose to study at, just the same way tuition fee at UNN is different from that of UI. fastseo: |
Hi. It appears you have not started up with the admission process. If that is the case, I doubt that 17M will get you to the finish line, from the very beginning. The 17M I talked about was after paying tuition fee deposit, visa application fee and OSHC (Health insurance). fastseo: |
This is all I need to know! I had more than 17M in the account of my sponsor when I submitted my application. Thank you so much, Jeffree. Jeffree246: |
Well, my agent asked me to submit bank statement originally and I did submit. But that was before this new FX rate. I'm tempted to just leave the application the way it is right now because I don't even have any money to boost the account right now. Jeffree246: |
Has anyone who applied for visa before this new rate had to boost the amount in their sponsor's account? My agent just called me to say we need to increase the amount in the account to meet up with the present exchange rate. Please, any information will help, as I'm in the 6th week of waiting for a response. |
Thank you very much, Sam Laura. I really do appreciate your kind words. samlaura16: |
Good evening everyone. I'm happy that at least 90% of us here are testifying of visa grants, which is an indication that those of us still waiting will get a positive response. I need a quick clarification. My status on my immigration portal has been showing "further assessment" for about 3 weeks now. Is this normal? Can I at this point send a mail to immigration? PS: I have Masters in Public Health admission to Curtin University and my course starts in about 1 month's time. PPS: I submitted my visa application on the 10th of May, did medical and biometrics on the 16th and 18th respectively. |
Thank you! Flames000: |
Thank you so much sir. I did this earlier this morning. Udo004: |
NeuroToby:I've also been trying to call their number since 7am since that's their opening time, but it's not been going through. |
Good morning, guys. Please, I have a very urgent question to ask. How is the best, easiest and fastest to book medical examination. NB: I've tried booking on IOM website yesterday night but it won't just go through. |
Good afternoon everyone. So, I'm presently at the point of paying tuition and it doesn't seem like Form A is an option. Please, who has AUD presently and needs naira? I need about 17,000AUD. |

Now, this is balance stuff! Perfect sense! Bencoco13: |
This makes a lot of sense to you, otherwise, you won't be spewing nonsense with your full chest. ![]() Brokeloser: |
Amazing stuff! Her visa took less than one month. Looks like Ausssie visa process rate is faster now. kerryiyke: |
I see people saying this thread is in the romance part of NL and so is not aimed at self development, hence, strictly 'woman matter' should be discussed... well, it's quite understandable, but I have rarely seen people who are not doing well romantically experience any tangible growth in other areas. I like the way @Martinez39s made his objective critical analysis of my submission. I will not bother to say anymore things in that regard... we all can have our different views of the same topic and lead our lives as we well please. A number of guys have said that anyone who doesn't agree with their positions should go and create their own thread... It's sad. Sad because if we can't have constructive criticisms around a subject as gentle men, what breed of weaklings are we then? I'll just quickly point out a thing or two. In psychology, there are different kinds of cognitive processes, but for the purpose of the point I am presently interested in making, I want to touch on divergent and convergent thinking, very briefly. As good as divergent analytical thinking is, the major issue is that extremes can be easily reached with this way of thinking, because most often than not, the bigger picture is not kept in perspective, so, not every variable in the equation is considered, before conclusions are made. That's why some people can say that all Nigerian ladies are a bunch of immoral manipulative money-thirsty morons and everyone cheers like they came from the same village! Again... very sad! Convergent thinking, on the other hand, puts the bigger picture in perspective, and so, carefully factors in other inclinations so as to make a very holistic conclusion. What's my point? If what we want to see (which I think should be) is a saner society where all men are seen as important and given their rightful place, then pushing only one point too hard will lead into more error than we began with. For instance, feminism began as a harmless movement to advocate equal job opportunities (among other noble things) between both genders, but now, they have started and continued to move mad by thinking males and females are equal and should be treated the same. Of course, we all can see staunch feminist in their 50s and 60s regretting that they ever towed that path. I fear that if we are not convergent in our thought, by zooming in a little to see the chaordic effect of our advocacy on the larger community, we will be worse off than we started. This is fact! Again, anyone can decide to lead their lives the way they want to, but like a very intelligent man said "blessed are the BALANCED, for they shall outlast others". Merci. |
If you have said you have an offer, a job offer letter needs to back your claim up, since immigration will most likely confirm that you really have an offer with your uncle's company like you said. franciscochime: |
Emphasis on the word "BALANCE"! We can't keep a posture of wickedness and expect to reap good! Women are not the goal, we can stop making it look like we have achieved something by mastering how to relate with someone who isn't your wife. Simple emotional intelligence will teach that and more. Alvelt14: |
My man, this is perfectly understood. But should the women's ineptitude be a reason to drop the standard and be a riffraff, simply because we live in a partial society? A lot of people can argue with me, but the truth is that we lose our place as men when we start thinking that we should be at the receiving end of the equation. A man, by design, is a giver! That's why even in sex, the woman simply takes and nurtures what has been given...and I understand that a lot of women do very bad at the job of nurturing whatever is given to them because they now want to be equal to men (feminism my foot!) Let's get ourselves together, no simping, but according to original design, it is an error of unwitty generalization to say that "if they will not give, we also must not give". That way, we would have simply lost the head position that nature gave us. Even though the mouth (in the head) eats, where does the food go to first? The brain in the head thinks, for just the head? How the head gets back is by first supplying the body and this is how some of our good fathers lived that gave them the ability to pass on wonderful heritage to us. What am I trying to say? A guy should get his life together (better done in cooperation with God). Keep pushing everyday towards his goals, the woman who will be a major addition to his life (to whom he can be the head and a giver that he is) will join him on the journey. This is what I believe inpactful living is all about... not some rat-race competition between both genders. Dabronze: |
I've read through this thread for almost one hour and I want to quickly lend my voice to two opinions; 1. If you don't know yourself as a guy, you'll keep running from pillar to post trying to win a woman over. And by the way, I thought being successful (in every area of life) and not trying to chase a women is the goal? It's sad, however, that many men know so much about a woman, they forget how to build a home and raise godly children. 2. The support a man needs is in the hands of another men. We can cry foul all we want, but the truth is that it is the same men that will favor ladies over you who are advocating that you become an alpha male. NB: I agree with some of the submissions made by elders in the house, some, I don't. It's imperative, therefore, that every guy knows where he's going to, face it squarely and everything else will fall in place, including the kind of woman he needs. Shalom. |

Thanks to everyone who has contributed insightfully to this thread, I hope I didn't come too late to this honorable party... ![]() So, this same thought has been on my head for a while and it was the question (why is adoption not common in Nigeria) that I typed on google that led me here. First of all, I have taken time to generally study statistics and I can boldly say that, apart from the general economic and political problems that we have in Nigeria, we may not do well as a people because overpopulation will smother us beyond resuscitation. China and India are learning their lesson the hard way and Nigeria is just a hair-diameter close to the brink of worse economic jeopardy, adding the fact that Nigeria is not a producing country like China (because this is part of what is helping them). With our present population, we have fire in our bossom already, because according to various statistical sources, Nigeria has the highest homeless population in the whole world. (a whooping 13% of our country, more than 24M people literally liter streets) Look at the present rate of unemployment... Look at poverty level... Look at crime rate... Now, according to statistics again, by 2050, our population will double, meaning that people between 0 and 40 will make up at least 60% to 70% of our national population... The implication is that if nothing is done to curb this mayhem called overpopulation, no matter who become president, we will not survive what is to come. If you look at all these stats and you still think that giving birth to 3 or 4 children is a form of achievement, please, think again!!! If 4 children is your target, have one or two biologically (to prove to village people that they didn't succeed) and then adopt one or two more. Again, I can't tell you what to do since we don't share the same ideology. But, honestly, there are beautiful children out there who have the capacity to succeed, provided they have a nice meal each day, a loving family to live with and nothing-out-of-the-ordinary kind of education. But our cultural and religious sentiments will not allow us see it! Now, am I trying to heap the blame of our socioeconomic condition on people who believe that one of the things they are on earth to do is to populate the earth? Absolutely not! My whole point is that until we start seeing things from the broader perspective, rather than having a very myopic view of life, we will not get better as a people. I challenge everyone to go and look at the population growth rate of countries that we call advanced, check when they became a country and now compare it with our 62-year old country. If we are not sitting on a time bomb, I wonder what else this is called. NB: I am fully Yoruba, in case you want to cast aspersion. |
Any help on this, guys? Good evening. NeuroToby: |
First question, how many of you are traveling? If it's only you and your company has a good turnover which can bear the total of how much you will need for POF, use your company's account, it gives you better chance in your GTE assessment since you can state that you have a company to return to after your MSc in Australia. If you're traveling with your dependents, you may bring your sister's account into the picture if your company's bank statement won't accommodate y'all. engrnd: |
