You mentioned you did a "skin endoscopy" test. Did you mean skin biopsy? What was the result of the test? Is it an infection? What kind - bacterial, fungal, or viral? Or is it simply an eczema (dermatitis)?

You can't just be applying stuff on your skin without first understanding the cause. The best way to effectively treat an ailment is to first figure what is causing or exacerbating it.

You have not really written anything that answered my question.

How would closing businesses in the South East affect the price of goods and services in other regions? Please explain it to me like I am primary school.

I presume you are an advocate, based on your submissions. So, this is your opportunity to articulate the merits, in the large scheme of things, of sit-at-home - going on now for about three years - and destruction of lives and properties in the South East.

Somehow you've managed to put the blame for the woman's failure in business on the man. Is she a child?

So when she started nagging the man about opening a business for her, what would you have expected the man to do?

If the same man had asked the wife to try and learn the business first under the tutelage of an established business, the likes of you would still crucify the man for not supporting the wife.
Kobojunkie:
The mistake most Nigerian men make, OP's husband one of them, is to assume that every woman is a good businesswoman. Every man out there, even those who claim to own businesses, is not good at business so why in the world would anyone assume that all women, those with businesses on hand, are good businesswomen? I fault OP's husband in that case. Before a sensible individual chooses to invest in a business, he or she ought to carefully investigate the business to realize if it is indeed successful and profitable or simply held up with bandages and loans. undecided

OP used 100k received from husband, plus her own savings, to start business six years ago. She has since borrowed 190k to add to the business. Yet the business is failing. Now she is hoping for another cash infusion to a failing business.

If I am in your husband's shoes, I would not put another dime in it, as this business has become a value trap. It will be like throwing good money after bad.

Figure out first what you are doing wrong in the business before asking for additional financial support.

At this rate, even if you are given 1 million naira, it will soon be gone, with nothing to show for it.

If you are driving an automatic vehicle, you can always switch to the manual mode.

Drivers typically do this in snow driving where suddenly applying brakes is highly discouraged.

The vehicle will eventually slow down as you keep downshifting the gears. Once in gear 1, you may then use the hand brake to stop the vehicle.

The illiteracy is nauseating.

These people forget that a serious government can easily use a Trojan Horse to destroy them.

Maybe the Nigerian government is deliberately allowing them free hand to destroy their own region, thus making it harder for the general population to accept anyone from the region to ever rule the country.

If ever Biafra comes to fruition (which I highly doubt by using this terrorist format), the kind of civil war that will envelop the region will make 1967-1970 war look like child's play.
Family / Re: I Want To Divorce And Live Alone by Neverlookback: 11:28pm On Sep 08, 2023
I wish you didn't include the monetary figures in your post, as it has caused individuals that have no idea about your home dynamics to focus on it rather than the gist of your post.

I would not recommend you divorcing your spouse at this stage, as it is still premature. Sexual intimacy is very important in any relationship, especially in marriage, no doubt.

After you've exhausted all forms of open communication and you still feel lacking, then you may consider a trial separation, without cheating. During this period, there's a good possibility that you may rekindle what you had prior to the kids coming. You said you still love her, so obviously there's still a great chance that you two will work out.

I'm not sure if you do this currently, but date nights, some weekends away from home (from kids) do wonders to couples intimacy.

God's blessings as you and your family navigate through this trying period.

But how do you propose to stay alone, according to you, when you mentioned that you have a high sex drive?

Politics / Re: We Will Not Disband ESN - IPOB by Neverlookback: 11:20am On Aug 15, 2023
Is it that you cannot read between the lines? You expect him to take ownership of the prison break?

I'm not sure where you reside, but I resided in Owerri for the past six to seven years. I have a house there. Prior to that, I visit there every year since 2007. Owerri used to be a very serene and peaceful town, prior to 2016.

Few years ago, I brought my kids back to Imo, from the U.S, to get the Igbo experience. Unfortunately, I had to take them back last year. The reason has all to do with the state of security in the region.

This security problem I am talking about is unique to the Igbo land, and it started when your "supreme leader" started beating the drum of violence to his followers. From 2019 till date, Igbo land has turned into something else, and it got worse after ESN raided the prison to release deadly criminals, who later joined their ranks. And what shocks and perplexes me the most is how docile and afraid the inhabitants of the region have become.

IPOB started okay, as it was echoing the marginalization grumbles of Igbo people, but the violence and vituperations from its leader has made it lose relevance.

I'll tell you what I have always told to some IPOB foot soldiers I have met. The only way to get what you are demanding for in a civil society is through politics and not through violence. Hitler tried it first and he failed. Violence only makes you look like a tout to the international community.

IPOB had a great opportunity in 2017 to form a political party or stand behind someone that supports their ideology. Instead, your leader went off the rails. Unfortunately, that opportunity is almost gone, because they resorted to violence, and worst of all, against their own people. The people have seen a glimpse of the kind of society that's achievable in Nnamdi Kanu's Biafra, and I doubt they'll want that.

Which faction of IPOB made the prison run in Imo state and released all the inmates (1844)?
horsepower102:
ESN was set up by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu himself and given a strict mission.

To protect farmlands and farmers across the south east.

Despite the misfortunes and misdirections of Nnamdi Kanu, I can say that his ESN setup was a necessary move.

Ask yourself this simple question, when was the last time south east farmers were slaughtered on their farms?

When was the last time an Igbo woman, girl or grandmother was raped and killed on her farm.

This was happening a lot before ESN came to intervene.

ESN is not Unknown Gunmen.

Unknown Gunmen are people with various interests that decide to take laws into their own hands and was a perfect place for criminals and political assassins to hide.

I'm not sure if you are deliberately missing the point. The 18 year old girl does not need consent to date. The main issue here is an 18 years old girl co-habiting with a 19/20 years old boy. This is a disaster waiting to happen.

How are you not seeing that the cards are against this girl child in such union, especially in a dysfunctional society like Nigeria.
Kobojunkie:
I sincerely hope this isn't about gender here because I have never heard any parent say an 18-year-old boy needs consent from his parents to date? undecided

Please stop this sanctimonious bullshit. You and I know this is a completely wrong living situation, especially in Nigeria, irrespective of what year it is. Only in very rare occasions can something positive emanate from such lifestyle.
Kobojunkie:
An 18-year-old is practically adult age even in Nigeria by law. There are no local customs that stop one from dating at that age. So, you telling OP that he ought to have gotten consent is... based on what? undecided

According to the OP's story, the gal was not kidnapped, nor was she held against her free will. She even asked to remain with him. Her mother and the hoodlums she hired violated OP's rights, as well as the gal, 's in this. This is 2023 for Pete's sake. We ought to be calling for all to mend their ways so Nigeria as a whole can finally begin to get it right. Not beating about the bush in an attempt to maintain the closeminded views that have kept Nigeria tied down as it is. undecided

Were the South East governors, senators, and Reps. from Yoruba or Hausa/Fulani states? What have they done to improve the lot of their people?
Unaevince:

IPOB is a product of bad governance period! When a region is neglected by a wicked and tribalistic governance, there is bound to be reactions. When the northern despots were holding sway in Nigeria in the 80s and 90s, OPC, NADECO, Afenifere and others in the West were labelled terrorists.

After the murder of Kudirat, MKO, Pa Rewane by the same despots, the situation went gaga, even the present President Tinubu went on exile for 4-5 years otherwise, Abacha should have killed him like Pa Rewane. Now the South West is holding sway after the wicked and senile government of Buhari which sent the country backward a period of 8 years( - lost decade), South East saw a period of unimaginable neglect during the period and that's what led to the present problem we are having in the region presently. State of emergency will aggravate the situation and is not even an option presently.

Counsel: The present President having suffered misrule in the past should hit the ground running by showing that South East is part of Nigeria by urgently fixing the roads which are nearly non motor able in the region, providing constant electricity in the region as we are presently enjoying in Abuja and Lagos, reactivating industries to employ the idol youths that are causing these problems. Get Simon Ekpa tracked and arrested or get his communication gadgets jammed. Peace and development will return in the East once good governance is felt.

The money from Fuel subsidy removal should be enough to do these things and not sharing Jumbo salaries and emolument which the present senate and house of rep are already scheming to eat up the excess fund accruing to the nation.

A word is enough for the wise.

God bless us and God bless Nigeria

If you are not happy in your marriage or relationship, just move on. You only have one life to live.

Last time I checked, adultery occurs when there's sexual intercourse between a married person and another individual. Since when is visitation considered adultery?

Section 387 and 388 stipulate the punishment of imprisonment for two years, and/or with a fine for the crime of adultery committed in that region.

The woman disrespected the husband by meeting another man in a hotel room. Irrespective of the country this happens, it is ethically wrong for both of them to meet in the room rather than the lobby.

However, the police have no right to interfere. These are two adults that have not committed any crime. This is simply a family matter between husband and wife.

If the husband has to go to such lengths though, it means it may be time for him to move on.

Imagine someone above saying that OP should go and apologize to the family? This person could not in the same breath rebuke the wife for discussing what transpired between her and husband with her family. She could not rebuke the wife about bringing the dad into their business without first consulting with the husband. A business the husband set up for her.
