Gloriouscrown: Compliments of the season everyone. Does anyone know if there is a way to switch to the eVisa without using the brp card? I have been struggling with this for a long time as I can’t seem to find my brp card and waiting time on the phone with uk immigration is really really long. My dependants have successfully switched just me left. @zahra, Goke, Justwise and other sabi people please help. Thank you Use your international passport and your GWF reference number |

justwise: Even the one next door to you, 99.9% of those Facebook market cars are from scammers, try and contact one of them and see.
Run if they ask for deposit or promise to deliver it to you if you pay for fuel or some mileage.
If you must go to view it make sure you go with someone who can also drive and run a check using the registration number before going to view it.
You can also do google reverse image search just to know if that car picture was taken from a different location. Thank you |

Those cheap recent models are mostly from scammers, avoid them at all costs. The ones in the same city nko? I think when MOT is about to expire, gets cheaper too for old model. |

Otokitifunmi: Good evening house, please I need your help, advise, suggestions on how to get into a care role/ job here in the UK.
I came into the UK (Birmingham)Oct 2023 through the student dependant visa and I have walked into most care homes around me and also applied through Indeed but unfortunately mail is all I have been getting. Hence, I got a warehouse job and that's what I have been doing for the past 7 months; we were told at induction that we would get contract with d company after working for 3 months and I have worked very hard in this Warehouse like I have never worked before in my life but this people gave alot of people contract and didn't give me d contract, I met with the agency recently and asked why my name was not included among those that were given contract and she said it was because I didn't come to work once (of which I called her to inform her that I was feeling dizziness and wouldn't be able to come to work) she also said I came late for 2 minutes a couple of times( that true because I resume 5:45 am on morning shift and the closest bus comes to that area around 5:30am at it earliest and other times 5:35am and I have to trek 19mins to get to work, imagine running every morning shift to meet up with the time and this people can't relate because they don't take a bus. Almost all the people that came after me have been given contract but they said I should wait for 2 to 3 months again for them to check my clocking in time before they can consider me for contract.
I seriously have been feeling down because of this, probably because I felt I have given my best to these people and they don't appreciate it. Alot of people that are lazy and shy away from work are being given contract and not hardworking ones. It is time I leave the warehouse job for my health.
Please any information on how to successfully switch to care/support roles will be appreciated 👏 I studied accounting education in Nigeria, where can I get agencies that train people for the NVQ 2 or other related courses I can take?
Please help your sister before high blood pressure will finish me with over thinking Hi, some give contract after one year...just be hopeful. To get care job without experience for this Birmingham de hard. |

roak: Did you travel recently?? Someone who went just this month - June 2024 mentioned this. When the same person went back to UK Dec 2023, and carried foodstuff, same thing applied. This person na guy and he no carry much stuff....he had no fresh fish... (and fresh meat isn't even allowed to UK...).
Whatever you have, (regardless of item or quantity) quarantine officials will certify it fit to carry. Japa people na them full airport now, and they already know japa people dey carry food. Now whether they should be charging for such is another topic of its own...
But in usual naija style, everyone at the airport wants to collect. They'd call an amount, you'd be like oga e too much ooo, wetin I carry...then they'd tell you to drop something for the boys....and you wanna move along quick so you'd drop small change and bounce.
Quarantine officials certifying/ checking that you items are fit for travel is what MMA is currently doing now . If in doubt you can ask a recent traveller. Na you de ask, na you de explain...Oga carry dry foodstuffs to the airport, ensure your luggage is not more than 23kg for each and board your flight. Na wa o |

roak: Yeah I know this- about not been able to take palm oil. Just needed an idea of how much people had to pay the quarantine officials. Got some info though. They asked a person for 25k. He dropped 5k! Which quarantine again? You wan carry fresh meat and fish to the UK? Pack your normal foodstuffs whether ground or not. |

roak: Share your experience with carrying Food items to UK via Muritala Mohammed Airport
Has anyone taken foodstuff recently to UK - say quite recently or few months back etc. How was the experience with the Airport officials at MMA. Did you have to pay anything or "bribe"?
Do share. You can travel with foodstuffs apart from palmoil. |

LubeyNaijaBlog: hello house,
I was trying to pay on the tlscontact site for priority and prime time over the weekend. the priority payment went through but I couldn’t complete the payment for the prime time with my naira card because of otp issues so the whole payment was cancelled but the priority payment has already been deducted from my account and has not been refunded till now. I called my bank this morning and they said I should get through first with tls that the money has left my account. Please how do I go about this, because I can’t see any customer care number on their page. TLS would've received it, go there first. Prime time can also be paid on-site |

Family › Re: How Do I Chase Away My Inlaws From My House by NezzyMike: 6:32am On Jun 17, 2024 |
This happens when you marry a housewife that doesn't care about how the economy is. The best solution is to discuss with your wife about her mum leaving, foodstuffs are so expensive now coupled with 2 extra mouths. Staying for 3 months is already enough abeg.
You can as well tell her your mum is coming over and wouldn't like two of them to be together. |
