haykayjay: Please I need help on what to do.
I did my TB screening at St Nicholas hospital for 60,000 naira. The x-ray results came out as abnormal due to my past tb treatment during COVID era. Now st. Nicholas is referring me to do sputum test and I'm to pay a new fee of 115,750 naira for the sputum test after the initial 60k.
I know someone that did in Benin, though was asked for sputum due to being asthmatic but wasn't asked to pay for the test. Hmmm
Please is that how it's been done. I mean the charges. Almost amounting to 180k |

hardbody: My last trip about two weeks ago was the longest I have stayed because I did not travel alone and it was personally sponsored. We spent 6 days and left on the 7th. Typically when my office funds my trip, I have never stayed beyond 3 days (even though my MD will be encouraging me to spend a little bit more time)
Travelling is not exactly a biggie and I can understand if anyone has a kind of negative feeling about the UK. My experience has taught me that they are some of the most unfriendly people you could ever meet (except perhaps you move further to like Birmingham, Manchester, etc). I recall trying to ask a few guys at Chancery lane where I could convert some dollars to pounds ( I had exhausted what I changed at Travelex when I touched down), the guys just dismissed me and at the same moment went their different ways. I learnt to always be self sufficient and never ask anyone for direction. I learnt the train routes by force and had sometimes ended up in the opposite direction of where I intended. Always ensuring my oyster card is loaded above 50pounds on the regular to avoid stories. London Sha no be am at all. They feel anyone that wants to ask a question is a beggar. I had to learn google map by force abeg, very unfriendly set of people. |

JosephNJunior: Hello everyone, I really need your help.
So, my wife and I are applying to move to England for work, with one of us being the dependent. We have been married for nearly eight months now, and before our marriage, dated for three years.
In our application, we came across a question that has left us a little confused and we need some help answering it. First, we were asked: 'Have you lived continuously together for the last two years,' to which we answered 'No'. The following question read, 'Give a reason why you have not lived together for the last two years,' and we explained that we were not permitted to live together before marriage due to our culture. But we have lived together every day for the past seven months. The next question, which is really the confusing one read, 'Can you provide evidence of why you lived apart?'
We have asked a number of people if we should answer 'Yes' to the last question, and they've all replied in the affirmative, as they believe it's the best way to avoid risking a denial. However, we feel that the question may not apply to us since we have not lived apart since our nearly eight-month old marriage began, but then, we also fear that answering 'No' to the question may leave a loophole for the visa review team to exploit.
So this is me requesting help from experts in this forum. What answer should we provide to that question, and if you believe it should be in the affirmative, what would suffice as evidence in that sense?
I would really appreciate your help. Thanks! If you lived in different cities while in Nigeria, you submit your proof of address, employment. |

rowon: We don't know don't if there's any video evidence yet because we have not been told. The reporter was the one that lost someone and requested to go earlier before closing time. So who got to know she was sleeping on duty? She should've waited to sort out the issue before getting another job. Why doesn't she know if there's a CCTV there or not? It might be that there's someone that has been monitoring her but she wasn't aware. Let her keep praying, if her professional body has been written to, they would've let her know by now. If there's an evidence, someone suggested what to say during the disciplinary meeting. Let her previous job not be aware of her new post ooo, if not na straight to professional body which might restrict her practice. |
