T.B JOSHUA: Weep Not For The Dead

Pst Olumide Akinrinlola

It's always painful and sad when the one you love is no more. Nobody wants his or her loved one to die no matter the age.

However, people hardly know that the death of a loved one is not the end of life or punishment to the dead.

Death is not a punishment or end of the victim. Many are bereaved when their loved one is dead because they don't know what happens next and because they will never see him again until the trumpet sound. But they never knew that the spirit of the deceased lives on.

If only we know where a Man is going after death, we will not cry or mourn the dead because the separation of his body from his spirit and soul is NOT the end of his life which we all addressed as death.

"And the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it." Eccl 12:7. It simply means that anyone who parted away is not dead. His or Her spirit was only separated from his body to be with God in Heaven and live forever in glory or to be with the demons in hell to be tormented till eternity.

"Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he dies, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die." John 11vs 25-26.

Any believer who died in Christ will live again and will live with God for eternity. We should be more concerned about where we are going after death. The weeping and wailing are meaningless, it won't wake the dead.

It is hard for the family of the bereaved to stop crying for losing someone to death. But indeed, they are only crying in vain. Weeping cannot wake up the dead. We should only weep for ourselves and our children who are not in Christ while they still live and have the grace to repent and accept Jesus into their lives.

One thing is certain here which we must all know as said in the book of luke 20:36 that believers who died in Christ will not die anymore, because they will now be equal to the angels and become the Sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.

And to all of us reading this: We must also know that: "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 1 Corinthians 15: 22

In the book of 2nd Samuel ch 12 vs 21 -22, David’s servants said to him, “Why are you doing this? When the baby was still alive, you fasted and you cried. Now that the baby is dead, you get up and eat food.”

David replied to them and said, “While the baby was still alive, I fasted, and I cried. I thought, ‘Who knows? Maybe the Lord will feel sorry for me and let the baby live.’ But now that the baby is dead, why should I fast? I can’t bring him back to life. Someday I will go to him, but he cannot come back to me."

This is the basic truth my brothers and sisters, weep not for the dead; weep not for the late Prophet T.B Joshua but instead, weep for your heaven. And weep for your family who is not in Christ now and preach repentance to them for they still have the grace to repent and amend their ways before death comes knocking.

There is no more repentance or grace after death. A cry of repentance for the living who is not yet dead is what we need and not in the other way. Our cries and prayers for the dead are meaningless as they do not have any effect on the deceased and it won't change anything.

Our tears including the prayers that we offer for the dead won't change the destination of the deceased - I mean it won't take him or her to heaven or hell.

Instead, we should please weep for our Heaven and stop weeping for the dead.

This dead thing is turn by turn World Limited. The only thing we don’t know is when and how we are going to die.

So, let’s prepare for our heaven. If you love yourself, please work towards making heaven and if you love your neighbour, please preach to them to live a Godly life and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

Please repent! Jesus Christ is on His way coming...

I just told you!

Say: Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sin. Forgive me. (confess your sin) I accept you today as my Lord and Saviour, come into my life and remain there forever. Amen.

Politics / Ondo Poll: I’m Still In PDP But Ondo PDP Is Dead Before The Election – Chieftain by NFFGG: 1:22pm On Aug 23, 2020
* Says party has been divided into various camps

As the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is preparing to conduct a free and fair governorship election in Ondo State on October 10, 2020, a pioneer leader of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in the State who had served the party in various capacities, Hon. Solomon Bitire, a former Secretary and Chairman of the PDP in Okitipupa Local Government Council for several years and a former Chairman of Chairmen of the PDP across the 18 local governments of the State for 8 years, have said that the PDP in Ondo State is dead ahead of the gubernatorial election because according to Bitire, the Ondo State PDP has been divided into seven political camps and none of them is ready to work for the candidate of the party ahead of the election. In this exclusive interview with Starnews Nigeria Correspondent, Obed Chuks, the PDP chieftain spoke on the chances of his party ahead of the election on October 10.

There are rumours making the round that you are no longer a member of the PDP in Ondo State, what is your reaction to this sir.

That’s not true. Please disregard such rumour. Since 1999, I have been a member of the PDP to date and I had served the party in various capacities till date. So, as at now, I remain a PDP member. I don’t know about tomorrow.

Ahead of the governorship election, what can you say about the chances of PDP in unseating the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and its candidate, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu?

Eyitayo vs Okunomo – Why PDP Must Not Lose Ondo Election

By Kayode Ojomo

“To be a state Governor is different from a Local Government Chairman”, how can anyone say this? I disagree completely with this infantile postulations above by some people loyal to Eyitayo Jegede, one of the Governorship Aspirants of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State.

Being a Local Government Chairman offers you qualitative exposures to Executive responsibilities just like the Governorship on a smaller scale at the Local Government grassroots level closest to the downtrodden people.

A local government chairman would listen to the cries of the downtrodden, aggregate their anxieties, their dreams, pains, successes and goals; thereby, allocating values, resources with workable solutions to alleviate their sufferings and elevate their goals into palpably cherished accomplishment.

Eyitayo Jegede has not chaired or headed any executive political position before, inspite of his shinning accomplishment as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN). He is experimentally deficient in this regards.

Akeredolu is also a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), yet, a political failure. We all can see how Ondo State people are lamenting now.

Politics / Ondo 2020: The Trouble In APC And The Fate Of PDP by NFFGG: 2:50pm On Mar 11, 2020
By Akinrinlola Olumide

According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the governorship election in Ondo State will hold in October 10, this year.

Shortly after this announcement, INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, also released the timetable and schedule of activities for the governorship elections.

According to INEC, political parties must conduct their primary elections between July 2 and July 25, while public campaigns by various parties would begin on July 13, 2020, and end two days to the governorship election in the State.

Ahead of the election, I have personally noted two things – the trouble in the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and the fate of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), which is the title and subject of the discussion of this article.

The trouble in APC

The Bible says in the book of Mark 3:5 that if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. As it is, the APC in Ondo State is presently wallowing in a political storm of division, where about 80% of the leaders in Ondo State have come together under one umbrella in the name of Unity Forum to work against the reelection bid of governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

The group, under the leadership of Alhaji Ali Olanusi, is also working to ensure they produce one of their members as a consensus candidate to slug it out with the incumbent in the party’s primary election.

This is aside from other aspirants who are not members of the Unity Forum but are also not disposed to the second term bid of the state governor.

On several occasions, the Members of the Unity Forum who are political gladiators in APC, have rejected outrightly the possibility of supporting Akeredolu for the second term, while the group itself, has continued to wax stronger in recent times.

Governor Akeredolu on his part has also rejected any possible reconciliation with the Unity Forum.
Recently, he openly drew a battle line with the Unity Forum and said, he has also prepared to fight them to a standstill. He gave this hint while speaking at a dinner he held in commemoration of his third anniversary as the executive governor of Ondo State.

Akeredolu’s second term bid is not only threatened by the Unity Group. The governor is also not in the the good book of the National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole, and Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Leader of the ruling APC. Tinubu is said to have reconciled with Akeredolu, but many who are closed to him have said that such reconciliation does not have anything to do with Akeredolu’s second term bid.

Even of recent, the governor’s outbursts where he threatened the leadership of the party not to replace him if they wish to win the next Ondo State governorship election shows that the second term bid of the governor is under serious threat.

The original trouble for the ruling APC in Ondo State is that governor Akeredolu will create a problem for the party if he is replaced by the leadership of the party, because he would ensure the defeat of the APC in Ondo State by using the power of incumbency.

Another trouble is that the array of APC leaders in the Unity Forum are also strong enough politically to scuttle the second term bid of the governor to the advantage of the opposition PDP if he eventually emerged the candidate of the APC in Ondo State against their political conspiracy.

As it is, only God could help the APC in Ondo State not to be consumed by the PDP upon the crisis created in the party by the two warring factions.

The fate of PDP

With this, the opposition PDP is at an advantage to take over the state from the ruling APC in the October governorship election. But this is only if the PDP gets it right by studying the body language of Ondo State electorates regard the natural rotation of political power across the three senatorial districts of the state.

Kogi Election Worst Than Boko Haram Criminalities

By Akinrinlola Olumide

I condemn the violence, kidnapping, bloodshed and political killing, which were perpetrated by politicians in their quest for power, not minding the lives of innocent Nigerians, following the elections conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kogi State on Saturday.

It is disheartening that some of our politicians don’t mind walking on the blood of their subjects to get into power, forgetting we will all die one day to stand before God and give account of how we lived our lives on earth.

More worrisome is the statement credited to President Muhammadu Buhari where he described the Victory of Yahaya Bello as “well won”. The president didn’t stop there, he went further to commend INEC and security agencies for discharging their responsibilities under difficult conditions when the opposite was obviously reported as true.

The election in Kogi and Bayelsa show that Nigeria has been taken 20 years backward under APC led administration.

And the refusal of the President to condemn the evil, especially the killing, kidnapping, and violence that rock the Kogi State election, has further given credence to the widespread allegation by Nigerians that President Buhari gave approval to all the electoral malpractices under his watch in Nigeria, especially the recent governorship and senatorial rerun elections in Kogi State which occurred with unprecedented violence, killing of innocent souls, and kidnapping of INEC staff.

Or isn’t it funny that at time Nigerians, Civil Societies, UK, US and European Unions and all observers who monitored the election said that no credible election took place in Kogi State, our president, whose administration is waging war against hate speech, went ahead to issue a statement worst than hate speech, to give credibility to an election that has been widely condemned and described as a fraud by credible election observers?

Honestly, the elections in both states of Kogi and Bayelsa have simply revealed the shame of a nation.

It is sad!
