Health / 4 Precautions To Take When Treating Staphylococcus Infection by Ngoziebenezer3(f): 10:21pm On Nov 15, 2021
Like a good doctor, Chisom Ekilons said, getting the right treatment for staph is not enough! There are precautions to take to ensure a complete cure and avoid any form of comebacks. I have listed 4 precautions you should take when treating Staphylococcus urinary tract infection, number 4 is often done wrong.

1. Avoid Alcohol: Antibiotics have side effects and these side effects materialize differently on different consumers. Taking alcohol and antibiotics triggers a host of unpleasant side effects. It can also make you dehydrated and affect your sleep which makes it harder for your body to aid the antibiotics in fighting the infection.

- Avoid Alcohol throughout the period of treatment and wait at least 48hours after treatment before taking any alcohol.

2. Maintain Personal Hygiene: Staph infection can survive on a surface for a while until it finds an entry point into your body. It’s important to maintain good and proper hygiene as you obviously have the infection and can possibly transfer it to any surface.

- Wash your bed sheets and clothes properly. Wash your towels and sponge regularly, soak them in hot water each time to kill off bacteria.

3. Avoid Sexual Intercourse: Apart from the fact that you risk infecting your partner, then you can get back the infection from your partner, antibiotics lowers the effectiveness of birth control pills. Also sexual intercourse may be uncomfortable and painful.

- Avoid sexual intercourse till treatment is over.

4. Sterilize Your Underwear: Your underwear is the landing spot of urinary discharge and bacteria latching onto the underwear is the reason for many staph comebacks. It’s important to sterilize your underwear every time you wash them throughout the period of treatment.

- A lot of people have opted for soaking the underwear in bleach, while the chemical from the bleach can kill the bacteria, it also poses a risk to you as the underwear covers a sensitive part of your body. Another method employed by many is ironing the underwear, this has many variables: Your iron might not be properly heated or you could miss a spot when you iron. This is why the most effective means of sterilizing your underwear is to soak it in hot water.
Health / 3 Habits That Makes You Accumulate Fats by Ngoziebenezer3(f): 2:57pm On Nov 09, 2021
One of the major route to gaining weight is eating too much food. After the body uses what it needs, the excess food is stored in your body as fats.

The problem is, at times, we eat too much food without even knowing it. I have listed below, 3 habits that makes you eat excessively:

1. Being Stressed: When you are stressed, your body naturally looks for a relief and most times, this relief is in food, especially junk foods. This leads to increase in belly-fats and body fats eventually.

When you are stressed, find other ways to relief stress. You can take a break, take a stroll, chew a gum, listen to music, write down your to-do list in order of importance, etc.

2. Lack of Sleep: Night hour is the longest idle hour you can spend without eating. This is possible because you are asleep. Staying awake at night makes you hungry and stressed. The longer you are awake, the more stressed you are and the more excessively you eat, which in turn, leads to accumulation of fats.

Give your body adequate rest at night.

3. Eating and Watching TV: When you are watching TV, your brain is distracted and it does not realize when it needs to stop eating. You find that as long as the movie is rolling, you are eating something.

If you have this habit, bring out the portion of food you should eat before watching the TV.

Eating food and accumulating fats is easy, going on a diet and losing those excess fats is the challenge.
Health / Lose Post-natal Fats by Ngoziebenezer3(f): 11:36am On Nov 06, 2021
Gone are the days when putting on weight is evidence of good living. Adding weight has been associated with so many health problems, and now, evidence of good living is maintaining a healthy body.

Studies have shown that 90% of the women that put on weight in marriage, did so after childbirth. This is entirely because your body stores up fats to help in the development of the baby, and clings onto those fats after the baby is born, to prepare for breastfeeding.

This extra weight will not go on its own. As a matter of fact, you are left not just with extra weight but also belly fats.

You don’t need to skip a meal to lose weight, as a matter fact, you can lose weight while dieting on Nigerian meals.

Losing weight is not as hard as people make it to be. You have starved, you have taken supplements and herbs, yet you have not gotten the result you wanted. You don’t need all that. You can lose weight eating 3 square meals every single day; you just need to know what to eat.
Health / How To Avoid Vaginal Tear At Childbirth by Ngoziebenezer3(f): 1:06pm On Nov 05, 2021
What is the benefit of having a big baby? People would cheer and say your baby is big. What else? What about you? You are in immeasurable pain from the tear you got from having a big baby.

My sister got vaginal tears from her first childbirth. At one time, she had to go back for the suture to be redone, she took a wrong step and undid the suture, it was pain all over again. After her experience, she made sure the second baby came out smaller. Her husband commented, ‘This baby is small’ but she was smiling. She could move around, celebrate with others when they celebrated her baby. No suture whatsoever. She was free, and in less than two months, the same baby they called small, was now called Orobo (fat baby). Isn’t this much better?

One major reason why women have vaginal tear during childbirth is the size of the baby. There are two things that affect the size of your baby.

The first is what you eat. Many have eaten the right thing and the baby still came out big, due to the second reason, parental gene.
Health / 3 Main Reasons Why Staphylococcus UTI Keeps Coming Back by Ngoziebenezer3(f): 2:27am On Nov 02, 2021
It is no news that Staph infection is stubborn and resistant to common antibiotic drugs. You might have opted for herbal cleansers which so far, has been a very effective method of curing Staph infection, but still wonder why the infection keeps coming back.

Well, there are three main reasons why this happens and you’re most likely guilty of breaking number 3.

1. Skipping Dosage: Staph infection is notorious for its ability to grow resistant to antibiotic drugs used in treating it. Skipping dosage not only delays the recovery process but also creates room for Staph to begin to build resistant to the antibiotic applied. Consistent usage of the recommended treatments is the key to not allowing a breathing space for Staph Infection to grow any form of resistance.

2. Not Treating Properly: Staph Urinary Tract Infection can be cured in two weeks: Not True! It is a myth. A Full blown Staph Infection takes at least 4 weeks of consistent application of treatment to cure, and can take longer depending on how long it has been in your body. Don’t stop taking the treatment because the symptoms are gone. This is why there’s always a comeback. After treatment, it’s always better to go to a lab and do a urine test to know the status of the infection.

3. Not keeping to the Rules: In summary, knocking out Staph infection is 30% getting the right treatment, and 70% obeying the rules. The dos and don’t prescribed by your doctor is extremely paramount to getting cured of the infection. Failure to adhere to one of the rules can delay or significantly hamper your recovery process.

Remember this, Staph infection is stubborn and only an aggressive approach will knock it out completely.

Health / Natural Treatment For Covid 19 by Ngoziebenezer3(f): 8:21am On Oct 29, 2021
I remember one time before Covid 19 pandemic, when I went to pick my lab result. The doctor prescribed some antibiotics that I could take to get better. Also listed in the lab result, were drugs that I was resistant to, specifically Penicillin or any drug in the Cillin family.

One day, out of stupid curiousity or curious defiance (I can’t even tell which), I took a drug that has Penicillin clearly written on the back of its packet. What happened after I took the drugs? Nothing! Or at least I thought so. It wasn’t until midnight that I was awoken by a feeling of asphyxiation (I felt like I was suffocating). When I woke up, I realized that my two nostrils were blocked. Inhalers were useless, I breathed through my mouth the whole night until the effect of the drug waned.

When my friend told me about his near-death experience with taking a drug that he was resistant to, I thanked God for my life; it could have been worse for me, not to mention, it was midnight. Now, this got me thinking, why prescribe one drug for the whole world to use, given our different immune systems and drug resistance? Why administer antibiotics without individual tests? COVID vaccine is given to every tom, dick and harry, this is why to some, it works, to others, it’s deadly. A friend of mine in Italy took the vaccine and he was fine, my other friend, still in Italy, took the same vaccine and nearly died from it. He rushed to the hospital.

Drugs often carry the risk of side effects; this is why I always recommend natural or herbal method of treatment. I will describe to you a tested and trusted treatment for Covid 19. This is how my friend and former boss cured himself after drugs and drips failed.

INGREDIENTS
All you need is a big pot and lemon grass leaves.

METHOD
Put enough lemon grass leaves to fill the pot. Pour water almost to the brim of the pot and cook to a boiling point. Place the pot down, kneel or bend over the pot, put a wrapper to cover yourself and the pot, in order to minimize the amount of steam escaping. Take in the steam for as long as you can bear, make sure to inhale. Feel free to take a few seconds break to recover, then bend over the heat again. Do this till the heat from the steam is considerably low. Engage in this exercise twice a day and you will see the difference in just one day. Continue this exercise the next day and your body will tell you when to stop. My boss got better in two days.

EXTRA PRECAUTIONS
1. Eat healthily
2. Avoid cold things or places
3. Take warm bath
4. Drink warm water every morning
5. If you must, take antibiotics that you have tested and trusted.

Corona is a weak virus. It should never have taken any life. Be safe!
Health / Drug-resistant Staph Infection And Treatment by Ngoziebenezer3(f): 4:53pm On Oct 27, 2021
About 50% of healthy adults are living with Staphylococcus aureus, also known as ‘Staph’. This pathogen is normally found on the skin, in the nose and in the oral cavity, and can stay there without causing any harm. Staph becomes dangerous when it enters the body through and opening.

Staphylococcus aureus is a major pathogen that causes life-threatening infection. If left untreated, Staph infection can colonize the reproductive systems and affect their functions. It has become one of the most common causes of infertility in both male and female.

Staphylococcus aureus spreads through contact with something or someone that has the bacteria on it, and enters the body through an open space.

Common Prevention Methods include:

1. Washing of the hands. Regular washing of the hands can reduce the chances of getting Staph infection. This is because the hand is the most likely to touch an infected person or object.

2. Keep personal items clean. Infection from the skin can easily latch onto your personal belonging like clothes and towels, so it’s important to keep them clean at all times.

3. Keep open wound covered. This is the major entry point for staph infection. Covering all open wounds will reduce the risk of transferring the infection from the skin into the open wound.

4. Wear a protection during Intercourse. This is the most common method of contracting urinary tract infection. Wearing a protection during sexual intercourse, especially with a new partner will spare you many troubles.

Drug-Resistant Infection (MRSA)

For years, antibiotics have been prescribed for treatment of viral infections. Even when these antibiotics are used properly, they contribute to the rise in resistant bacteria as they do not destroy all the germs they target. Germs that survive soon learn to resist other antibiotics. In the case of Staph, resistance to antibiotics results in Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, also known as MRSA. MRSA is a Staph infection that has become resistant to antibiotic treatments, and the more the antibiotics administered fail, the stronger the resistance level of the MRSA.

Treatment of MRSA

One major characteristics of MRSA is its resistance to antibiotics. This often makes it difficult to find the appropriate treatment for it.

A doctor might swab the infected area to perform some tests to determine what antibiotics the MRSA has gotten resistant to, then make some prescriptions.

Also, herbal cleansers can be used as they contain natural antibiotics like garlic, which MRSA can't build resistance to.
Health / 5 Easy Exercises To Get Your Body Back After Childbirth by Ngoziebenezer3(f): 3:01pm On Oct 26, 2021
One major impact that pregnancy can have on your body is the abdominal muscle separation. This happens when the outermost ab muscles that run from the breastbone to the pubic bone pull apart from the attachment point, to make room for the growing baby. This in turn causes the abdominal muscles to stretch and appear flabby, leaving what is known as a baby pooch, after childbirth. Even though after your baby is born, and hormonal changes cause your uterus to start shrinking to its pre-pregnancy size, it does not completely go back to the normal size on its own.

Another change that might happen to your body during pregnancy is weight gain. The extra fat is as a result of your body intuitively storing up extra adipose tissue for developing the baby and breastfeeding. Unfortunately, the fat stored during pregnancy will not automatically disappear after birth. Your body will likely cling to the extra stores of fat and ready itself for breastfeeding.

If you ever wondered how celebrities get back in shape shortly after childbirth, well, they had a team of dieticians, trainers and for some, series of plastic surgery, but all you really need to concentrate on, is the diet and training.

There has been a debate between dieting and exercising, which is more effective for weight loss. While dieting has been found to be more effective for losing weight, exercise is also important to strengthen your muscles.

I have listed here, 5 easy moves that would help you get your body back.

1. Walking: This is one of the simplest ways to ease into a fitness routine after giving birth. Start with an easy stroll, eventually work your way up to a pumped-up power walk. For variation, walk backwards or in a zig-zag pattern to help keep your muscles guessing. Carrying your baby along in a front pack will add extra weight, and that can increase benefits.

2. Deep Belly Breathing: This exercise is so simple that you can start it few hours after childbirth. It relaxes your muscles and starts the process of strengthening your abs and belly. Sit upright and take in a deep breathe. Contract and hold your abs tight while inhaling, hold for about 2 seconds and relax while exhaling. Gradually increase the amount of time you can contract and hold your abs.

3. Kegels: This exercise strengthens your pelvic muscles for better control over any urine leaks that may happen when sneezing, laughing or picking up the baby. Get into a comfortable position, most people prefer lying down or sitting on a chair; contract the muscles that holds the flow of urine for 3 to 6 seconds until your muscle start to get tired. Relax for about 6 to 10 seconds and repeat the process. Do this at least 10 times per session and try to do at least 3 sessions in a day for better result.

4. Leg Extension: This exercise strengthens your abdominal muscles. Lie on your back with hands by your side, palms touching the floor. Raise one leg to a table top position (knees in line with hip and feet parallel to the floor). Slowly extend the lifted leg out as close to the floor as you can without arching your back, then return the leg back to the tabletop position and repeat the process. Switch between both legs at intervals and progress over time until you can extent your leg about 2 to 3 inches above the floor.

5. Kneeling Pelvic Tilt: This exercise helps to strengthen your abdominal muscles. Lie on your back with knees bent upward and hands by your side, palms touching the floor. Tuck in your stomach while you push your pelvis up towards the ceiling. Hold for about 1 or 2 seconds and return. Do as many times as you can.

Note that you have to wait at least 6 to 8 weeks after childbirth (for natural birth) before engaging in any rigorous fitness routine. If you had a C-section, concentrate on healing and try out the simple walking and breathing exercise. Give yourself a time frame to achieving your desired body, as this would help motivate you.
Health / 5 Tips For Easy Childbirth by Ngoziebenezer3(f): 1:15pm On Oct 26, 2021
Many expectant mothers, especially new mothers are riddled with anxiety during pregnancy. This is majorly given to how many painful labour stories they have heard.

Below here, I have listed 5 tips that can help make the process easier:

1. Distract yourself: When contraction begins, concentrating on the pain or what will follow will lead to anxiety which will only escalate the situation. Distract yourself by cooking, taking a walk, showering, etc.

2. Eat lightly: Irrespective of how you feel, try to eat (something light). It helps to build energy required for the labour.

3. Massage: Lightly massage the areas you feel pains. If your partner is around you, let him massage those areas gently. This would help reduce your anxiety and ease the pains.

4: Take a warm shower: Pain causes you to tense your muscles, so take a warm shower to release those muscles. Concentrate the shower-head on the areas you feel pains.

5. Don't lie down: This is simply because you need gravity to work to your advantage. Stand, kneel, squat, move around: Movements helps to widen your pelvis, allowing your baby's head to pass through.

Practice these tips and I hope you have a smooth delivery.
