nguraAondohemba: Professor Soyinka is a literal giant of Africa and the world in general. He is a social critic and human activist. He usually supports opposition when things are out of place. He is the winner of nobel prize, the first diaspora and African to be honoured like this. wole criticises Government both military and civilian. He criticised Gawon for distablising the igbo and fearlessly went to protest in the north during Biafran war.He was caugt and imprisoned .People appreciate his past more than the present.Nigrians will appreciate him when Nigria will become ashes in 2015.He has writen Trials of Brother Jero to mock the way religion is .He is the marxist. He has also written The beatification Of Area Boys to compare the gangters in Lagos in particular and Nigeria in general with the Military regime in Nigeria. He concludes that the area boys be beatified rather than the military.Despite the deliquent acts of area boys, they will be blessed rather than the military Government.General Sani Abacha declared him wanted and he went out of the country through nadoko route on motorcycle.Currently,he is threatened by gangters in Rivers not to organise a rally there for peace keeping in the state with Falana. He will go there without fear due to what is seen in him.

Language as oughtstanding feature in contemporary African Drama

Contemporary African Drama started since 1960's.It has since been different from classical Drama that agitates for some standing features of drama.Language is one of the features of contemporary African Drama that is prominent or outstanding. The question about the use of Language in African literature started since 1962, in a Conference of African writers in Makarere,Uganda. The question of the use of Language in African literature has been abortive. There existed two powerful groups of thought about what the Language of African Literature would look like:The Indiginist essentialist and Indiginist Hybridity.

The former led by Frantz Fanon advocates for the total use of local languages in African Literature while the latter led by Chinua Achebe opposes it on the ground that English /French as second languages have international intelligibility. They maintain that the foreign languages should be used with african experiences.

Post-Indiginist tries to narrow the gap between the two aforementioned schools. The school calls for thematic issue in relation to the use of language. If the issue deals with the local people then the the local language of the people be used and the vice versa.[b]Language as oughtstanding feature in contemporary African Drama
