my guy d tin no dey easy like dat o. one of my paddi wey folllw batch b go had to go nd forge a medical report at UCH nd wen he tendered it at d camp dey said dey would av to perform a test on him after d camp to confirm. his saving grace was d fact dat he also forged a hospital card wit a monthly appointmnt wit a consultant. if u r posted to a nothern state where dre is no security challenge den marriage nd medical are ur only options for redeployment. i understand d extortion part but me i no want nysc to use their hiphop spoil my blues o

all my lasu peeps dat went for batch b orientation and applied for redeployment got it......mostly to lag and mostly without any medical report at a fee of course ......eni ti o ba mo way lo mowe.....ja'ra e

for those who may b thinkn of redeployment as an option i want to remind u dat u will need more than 5k to forge a medical report coupled wit other stress. if you still choose to risk it den fine. its painful i had to part wit d 4k ytd but i forgot about it wen i saw my callup number

Don't mind them. When Jamb started CBT how come they didn't tripple the cost of purchase of jamb form and afterall, they needed systems that was only ground before. And to crown it all, individual jamb result was sent to the student thru text messages days after the exam was conducted. Jamb for don dey collect like 20k nah" taaaar. They sudda given us options like if we would like to go for service or not, so those that are interested can pay. Afterall Nysc has lost it essence, those student that risk their life to serve in North and later got killed, what was done to it? A woman's child was killed right in the presence of the mother that went to visit her child in the north, what has been done to protect us, they r now raising one foolish 4k payment. Pssst!

If a change must happen in a nation, it should be a positive one. NYSC going digital is a welcome development but it doesn't make sense when you pay ten folds for the service being rendered to you. I believe the online printing of call up letter will reduce the cost of logistics and help save too much paper works, making it 4k is just too much.

On thinking may be some people didnt pay because of being poor, I think that is ridiculous and well not thought of.

Typical Nigerian mentality that;

Make a well schooled driver with complete documents to bribe policemen on the highway.

Make bribery and corruption an everyday things

Makes it difficult to ask for our right from our leaders

How I wish Nigerian students can stand against this act of
exploitation by the NYSC...... Its not about being rich, but
its about being patriotic! The efforts of NYSC at reducing
the risk of travelling to our various institutions for our call
up letters and numbers is appreciated, but I seem not to
understand the justification for the N4000 charge! Is it the
cost of posting the details online? Or just a means of
generating funds for the government? Or to increase the
funds available for embezzlement?
It is unfortunate that so many of us dont even understand
or have probably forgotten what the word "rights" mean. It
is saddening that alot of us are being intimidated by the
call up numbers reportedly mailed to those rich kids who
paid the N4000! If there is no sufficient fund, why cant our
government scrap the programme? After all not many of
us like it. This NYSC programme has led to the untimely
death of hundreds of thousand graduates, and instead of
our government to encourage us to participate in the
programme, they are widening the existing gap between
the rich and the poor!

Guide our leaders right
Help our youth the truth to know
In love and honesty to grow
And living just and true

I refuse to be intimidated! I will serve my fatherland, and I
