sodiqyinka: I never said you cant work postings with ur call up number again. You still can if you get it before lets say 10th day of next month. But, the info i passed was that you can make use of ur jamb registration/email add/matric to influence postings this time instead of waiting for the call up number. I guess levels pass levels. I can say it once again that if you didnt get ur call up number 10th or 11th of October, dnt bother paying anyone cos IT WONT WORK again. Mark my words. Explain to the person what i just explained and back it up with the claim that the information came from the Deputy Director, Corp Mobilization Unit, NYSC HQ, Abuja cos dats where i got it from. Ask any other question and imma tell u d way it is. If you do not pay d 4k, you may/may not get d call up number. Even if u did get it, it wont be on time to runs your posting. Its better you make do wit ur jamb reg numbrr or forgt abt working the posting. papiforreal: @Op if your CGPA is not in the range 3.45-3.49 -dont even try it. Cause CGPA dont move too much even if you got 5.0 once your credit unit is high.atleast someone just said exactly what I have in mind...OP handie, open your ears now.....if ur cgpa isn't in d range above,just forget it and don't do ur current cgpa any more harm.....extra year not even semester can only push people with smaller grades up to their desired levels with good grades scored in all courses they offer,but with people with good grades as in 3.3 and above in a 5.0 system, they need a little 4s and mostly 5s to make a 0.10 increase in their cgpa in d later years of school or as in your case an extra year(if you're thinking of an xtra semester,kindly forget it) My Verdict :- I'm sorry to disappoint you, and I hope you are not from a federal or stare school where an extra can become extras in a twinkle of an eye......kindly accept ur 2.2 and move on.From ur write up and answers so far,i deduced ure a smart person. Most of you guys don't know exactly what is going one there in Maiduguri.....Let me use a short story to put u guys in d know.. About 2 weeks ago,I had a conversation with a friend of mine who had the opportunity to speak with an Army officer-a junior ranking one that served in Maiduguri a few months ago In their conversation,the soldier told him about how most of his friends were killed in several stealth turned ambush battles against the insurgents and how he himself was lucky to be shot in d thigh and was sent to a hospital in Maiduguri for treatment...He said, he had to bribe his way to be transferred to d military hospital in Lagos when he finally got wind of the truth about wat was actually happening right there in maiduguri and how his brothers in arms were always easily killed by the insurgents. what he actually came to know is that the some commanding officers were/are agents of the insurgents and were d ones dat gave details of their planned tactical offensives against d insurgents to thesame insurgents they were to battle and a surprise attack too many times ended in an ambush......they were always sitting ducks waiting to be hunted. This he said was the way their corrupt bosses indirectly give arms to the insurgents as they(the soldiers) either flee leaving weapons which include APCs and Tanks sometimes or are killed leaving their weapons to be easily taken by the insurgents when they walk into these fatal ambushes.. I'm not condoning what the soldiers did to the GOC but I want everyone to put himself in place of the convicted soldiers....You see the corpses of your brothers who died unnecessarily after being sold out by some of those who actually give u orders to fight and u see one of the commanding officers(he could be clean or one of those bad eggs),i doubt you'll care to investigate cos the frustration of being stuck in a place where your bosses are your enemies and not being able to leave as there is no rotation of fighters to allow u get out of dat hell before u squeeze d trigger in frustration at dat officer....
