I was only talking about the specifics of what I observed. 5years ago, I made the move to draw back to Nigeria permanently. However, I was an expat in the US throughout last year, my contract ended in December. Getting back to The US system again, I noticed I spend 5* on food in the US of what I spend in Nigeria (even with their very low quality food and diet). Same on rent and bills. Imagine paying close to $3k for a one room in a remote place in Phoenix. Ahah. My electricity bill for the whole Year was about $3k just for using heater

Not necessarily. I have a Ghanaian friend wey we suppose hustle H1B together that year, dude told me he ain't interested no more and left to take a job with an insurance company in Rwanda. I left the west few years after, too. Too much of hidden bureaucracies. H1B has turn to game, and they use it to control us, especially when they know you have no other options than to stay and succumb to crumbs. I didn't regret leaving.
