GT MMF is kind of slow(24 hours), but it should reflect by tomorrow. If not, send a mail to them infoteam@gtfundmanagers.com

So if u have 100m in stanbic, is that how u will withdraw and put in cowrywise then vice versa again. Atimes 2 months I may not even open my app. No need to dey calculate for them. If there are better options for you to invest, u put ur funds there instead of calculating daily interest.

'ran away' didn't mean we withdrew all investments, I simply meant due to a higher returns from cowrywise, some of us split our investments, instead of putting all eggs in one basket. Note that I also did have investments in ARM and they are still at 20.50%.

We ran away from Stanbic to Cowrywise, now see what is happening

Banks have kid's account to serve this purpose.

Depends on the time of the day the request was made, but typically between 2-24 hours

Its a portfolio of US stocks, i think you can ask this questions in the stocks section

There have been too many stories about this , hence people doubt their credibility.
I have had hundreds of rejection based on nationality but its usually on the first stage and no one had ever told me it is because of Nationality, rather they simply say they got a better fit.

I did a second interview today for a company in Texas and clearly told the HR I am from Nigeria, few minutes later after it, I was sent an email to proceed to the final stage.

Hmmm....but I had light this morning and it stayed for few hours.

I invested #10,000 each in all the remaining 7 other investments on the app, just to test it out except MMF . I have lost approximately #1000 on about 4 of them. My account in reading #9 thousands something on the different investments. Na only like 2 that has gone beyond the #10,000 I invested. The others na just losses upon losses. But I go leave am like that for now instead of pulling out the funds

Some of those investments are on equities which are volatile, the interest might be high but the risk is much and there are no preservation of capital like MMF. For example, some stocks are gradually going down, hence would affect any investment on such stock

Its the cowrywise mutual funds. Compounding is quarterly, i think its only stanbic that do it monthly, but there is a hack. You can choose not to reinvest your dividend, then once its paid to your account, you put it back to the funds

This is enlightening. But What if bank a cease operations? E.g Heritage Bank of recent. Perhaps, some have not even collected their money from the bank after the collapse.

That is why the regulator doesn't allow the fund manager to keep the funds, e.g. stanbic uses UBA, fbnquest uses stanbic, etc. That way there are checks

You can open a savings account with a pension fund administrator(PFA), the regular pension account is contributory, meaning the employer and employee contributes to it, and the employee can withdraw after meeting some conditions.
But in your case as a single individual, u cannot open a contributory pension account but like I said, they, the PFA should have a product that suits you, so you can approach them to ask.

But does Stanbic MMF ever send the breakdown of the daily returns for the 30 or 90 days and the respective rates applied say maybe after the month or a quarter just like bank statements like traditional banks do.

I started this in July, I'm left to just checking the app and hoping things go well....

Cowrywise app interface looks better with all information the investors need daily...

From my experience so far, they don't. Cowrywise is a fintech, so the robustness is there. Note that this complaint is across board with most MMF and not just Stanbic MMF, to know the rates you would need to calculate it manually.

dammit.. just discovered my fiber broadband ISP was what is not accessing the portal after their upgrade. The website is accessible quite alright but i must switch to mobile ISP to access the portal.

It happens, you can install and use a VPN like Proton VPN for situations like this

I am using this and using the Login ID generated and send to my email after completing the online Access not my customer ID.
I just logged in now without issues as attached

Instead of switching to other MMF, Just collect the money and open shop. Because where you are running to, you still run again by the time you see further decline. And you cant afford to be running up and down like that forever.

Rates are currently down across board, even 19% still make sense, there was a time it was like 8%
