0ubenji: I've not even put anything and they asked for employment letter. They said its the standard. When did you open your account and what was asked from with respect to employment and/or source of funds? I opened an account with them recently, they didn't ask for any employment letter. However, my worry is their position that new users cannot view their portfolio in either online or via the app. these were their words: Please note that we are currently undergoing a system upgrade, and as a result, the App/Online Portal is temporarily unavailable to new customers. You will be duly notified once the upgrade is complete and access is restored. The exact date/time the upgrade will be completed wasn't stated, so am hesitant in investing huge amount for now. |

0ubenji: I was looking at significantly increasing my investment with them but these calculation stuff I keep hearing about them is giving me second thoughts. You mind sharing precisely what the issue is? To upgrade my account is taking days, secondly it seems interests are not paid during weekends, I.e. Saturday and Sunday, because the amount in Gain/Loss is still the same since Friday whereas it's not like that with stanbic and the cowrywise screenshot shared |

emmasoft: For all MMF, interest is earned daily and reinvested/paid quarterly. It's only reinvestment that Stanbic does monthly, payment is still quarterly like others. Thanks for this explanation boss, I see that's where stanbic stands out |

Hello @emmasoft, apart from stanbic MMF, so you know if there is any other that computes income monthly ? Because norremberger and ARM are quarterly. |

2 ...... Where can I withdraw to savings account or dollars account...? You can only used a domiciliary account and your accrued interest is paid to that same dom account you used during the setup 1 ...... Can I pay in Naira to dollar fund .....? Harddiskng: I would like to open a dollar fund with Stanbic, I have already have money market fund with them but i can’t see the option for dollar fund on the same app..
1) Would i view my dollar fund investment on a different platform? 2) I understand i have to pay in dollars into their collection account, hope i would be able to redeem my dollars in my own dollar account? 3) Lastly what is the modality to open a dollar account with stanbic, do i need a stanbic dollar account? I asked them same question and this was their reply: Please be advised that the Dollar wallet on the Blunest platform is currently unavailable and you will be advised via mail once same has been activated. In addition, kindly note that account details to fund the Dollar account will be shared via mail once same has been created. |

Still trying to understand what is going on. I made inquiries to GTFundManager for Dollar Fund, they provided a FBN Account Details: Beneficiary Account Name: FBNQUEST TRUST/GUARANTY TR USD FUND Beneficiary Account Number: 0012706025 Beneficiary Bank Swift Code: CITINGLA I inquired the same Dollar Fund from FBN, i.e. First Asset, they provided a Stanbic IBTC Account Details: Account No : 0005513686 Account Name : Stanbic IBTC Trustees/FBN Blended Dollar Fund (Specialized) Beneficiary Address: First Asset Management, 16 Keffi street off Awolowo Road, Ikoyi-Lagos Does it mean STANBIC is the biggest player here? |

NL1960: I had thought the switch to virtual account was to make it immediate reflection on the MMF. If that is not the case, then there is still some work to be done by them. If you check the mail, they didn't say immediately; 'All inflows received before noon on business days will be given value the same day, while inflows received after 12 noon will be given value the next business day.'The good thing is, it reflects on your investment amount, so no action is needed from you, unlike the other account where you have to invest it yourself. |

Dramadiddy: 2 days later stanbic has not funded my account, i guess that’s my cue to move to norrenberger , sorry about that, never had that experience with them, just yesterday night I did a test run with the new virtual account they provided for transfers and by this afternoon it has reflected on my account. |

Preator: Yes, if interest rate stays same for the 12 months. In all likelihood it wont. It will go up and down. The daily interest rate determines what you get. If it goes higher, you get more, if lower you get less.
Ceteris paribus, you get 1m if average interest for the 12 months is 20%. Unlike treasury bills anc commercial papers, the interest rate on the date you made. The investment does not determine what you will get for the investment period. Thanks @Preator, I'll start the process in June. |

emmasoft: Yes, you can do as @freeman67 said if you wish to fill the form without printing. The dom account can be in any bank. Please note the advice of @Preator because of the charges. For Norrenberger, their dollar collection account is with Stanbic Bank, and you can actually walk into the banking hall and deposit your dollar cash. For another method that will not require printing, you can chat with me. My number is on my signature. Thanks @freeman67 @Preator @emmasoft, I will fill the form without printing. Do I send to you @emmasoft? Lastly, if I make an investment in mutual funds for 1million in BluNest with 20% interest, do it mean I'll be getting 20% of 1million / 12 months, (200,000/12) which is about 16k monthly? |
Investment › Re: Mutual Funds by nickae: 9:51pm On May 23, 2025 |
emmasoft: Yes, a domiciliary account is needed. You need it when you want to make partial or full redemption your funds and for your interest payment in case you didn't pick reinvestment of interest. Thanks for clarification, but the domiciliary account can be with any other bank not necessarily Stanbic IBTC? Also the pdf form you posted for norrenberger, can the registration not be done online? Am currently in a location without a printer. |

Seems your battery have issues, have been using mine for over 6 months, yet to fill it. Skyfornia: You are right, but remember maintenance, though it's still cheaper.
I fill my inverter batteries with inverter(Distilled) water every month and it cost me N5000 to N10,000 monthly.
I don't know if there's anything I can do to reduce such.
Any advice from the professionals here will help. Thanks |
