Asante sana. I am actually looking forward to seeing new machakos city rise, he said he'd set the plans rolling once he is re-elected. Actually, we need to increase Kenyan presence on nairaland, I had to join, the world needs to know that Kenya is more than just Nairobi. I have some friends from machakos, they have been telling me how things are on the ground but I hope the petition doesn't succeed.
TayserMahiri:
Karibu. You couldn't have come at a better time. Back then there were many supremely low IQ sluts here but we managed to grab them by the nuts and they vanished into thin (polluted) Naija air. grin

On this Mutua thingy, I know there's a petition on him but hopefully he WINS. Still if he loses, Machakos voters would have to be the dumbest bunch of voters in the planet to kick him out when his county has been the best performing for the last five consecutive years. Where are you hearing those rumours? If its internet you can ignore that because opponents tend to be very scathing in attacks, before the election I thought he stood no chance cos Wavinya's fans were tweeting with so much venom. Reality is that the mama mboga on the ground knows what she wants since she can see how investments in the county have positively impacted her business because her mbogas are on high demand from the parks, hotels, residential estates etc and her produce gets to the consumer swiftly with the new roads. That woman is hardly tweeting

Hello my fellow Kenyan brothers and sisters, you have to forgive me, am new on nairaland so I don't know how to respond to individual comments, kindly assist on that....@mtis, true, despite all this madness that has been ongoing for years, Kenya has been progressing everyday but we just need to put tribal politics behind us and the future will be great. @Tayser Mahiri, I have always been a great supporter of Mutua, he is a visionary leader but am afraid if the petition against him succeeds, he might go home based on what I hear. People are caught up in the current wave of politics and Mutua has been a strong critic of Kalonzo so its going to be very tough for him.

This info is not to make any comparison with Nigeria but just to show some different counties and how they are developing each day. So, every county has different cities/towns and they are 47 in total. Below are some of the photos...1st is Nairobi, Machakos, Kiambu and Nakuru county respectively

TravelRe: Nairobi Photos (kenya): A Beautiful East African City by nickyizzle: 11:27am On Sep 23, 2016
Nairobi is currently the 4th largest city in Africa in terms of infrastructure not population and the construction boom is amazing. If it keeps developing at the same pace, it will one day be in the league of Johannesburg if the growth rate is maintained. Ever since counties were initiated, I have seen the rise of many urban centers that will in the near future be almost as large as Nairobi and Mombasa. Am talking about cities like Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret, Machakos,Thika, Kakamega, Nanyuki, Kitale, Kisii, Kericho and many more. There is also a rise of secondary cities like Nyahururu, Kitengela, Ongata, Mavoko area-Mlolongo/Athi, Ruiru, Juja, Tala, Matuu etc...Kenya is developing really fast and I feel we have started the process of moving from a low middle income country to upper middle income but that will only be achieved if we reduce corruption/tribalism and as Mutua always says, politics of poverty
PoliticsRe: Lagos And Abuja, Which Is A Better City? by nickyizzle: 10:43am On Sep 23, 2016
Nairobi is actually a large city, its the 4th largest in Africa in terms of infrastructure after Cairo, Lagos and Johannesburg but 13 largest in terms of population. Currently, Africa's fastest growing CBD is in upper hill Nairobi, that's where the tallest building(Hass tower) on the continent is being built at the moment. Kenya is developing really fast with counties developing many cities outside Nairobi like Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret, Machakos, Kisii and many more but I will not dwell on that. With respect to the current thread, I think Lagos is a very large city to be compared to Abuja, being the second largest city in Africa, Lagos is setting pace on a lot of things including development of Eko-atlantic city.
