Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose, on Monday said he will be partaking in the upcoming nationwide protest led by Innocent ‘Tuface’ Idibia. In a post on his Twitter handle shortly after 10:00 p.m., Mr. Fayose said the organisers have his full backing to launch the protest which they said will be “massive”. “To organisers of Feb. 5 “Enough is Enough” National Protest, you have my total support and I will be part of the protest,” the governor said. Mr. Fayose is the latest public figure to queue behind the organisers of the demonstration, which is expected to hold simultaneously in different cities across the country. Mr. Idibia, while announcing the protest last week, said the Buhari administration’s rudderlessness has left too many Nigerians languishing in poverty with little to be hopeful for about the future. The police said they have been duly informed about the protest and will provide security for all participants, although the government called for patience and understanding amongst Nigerians. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/222186-fayose-march-tuface-others-nationwide-protest.html |
cozybunch:Thank you, I just hope they don't ask for legal name change documentation, e.g deed poll. |
cozybunch:Thank you |
TWoods:Thanks a lot for your response. I also plan to include secondary documents that show earlier use of the name. So far I have found my WAEC result, first school leaving certificate and temporary voters card. |
bimbola85:Thank you. |
VisaOfficer, I will be filling I-485 (adjustment of status) in the US soon. However on my birth certificate, only my middle and last name appears. My first name is missing. My parents were undecided about a first name at the time of registration of my birth. From childhood, I have been accustomed to being called my first name and I have used it in all of my documents (Education, Travel Passports etc). I have an attestation of birth from NPC with my full names (I was born in the mid 80's, before NPC). However, I plan to submit affidavit of "one and same person" from my parents, and some documents to show earlier use of my first name and the date of birth (so far, my brother has found my First school leaving certificate of 2002, WAEC result of 2004, 2011 voters card, .......) Do you think this will solve the potential problem. Thank you for your anticipated response. |
Experienced people on nairaland and moderators. PLEASE I NEED YOUR HELP ON THIS, I HAVE NOT SLEPT WELL IN THE PAST THREE DAYS. I will be filling I-485 (adjustment of status) in the US soon. However on my birth certificate, my middle and last name is there but my first name is missing. My parents were undecided about a first name at the time of registration of my birth. From childhood, I have been accustomed to being called my first name and I have used it in many of my documents. I don't think the local government area that issued it can correct this (Since it was done in 1982, in my country). Will an affidavit of "same person" from parents solve this? Anyone with similar experience? Please help |
