PoliticsFayose To March With Tuface, Others In Nationwide Protest. by nicolasbood(op): 6:50am On Feb 01, 2017
Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose, on Monday said he will be partaking in the upcoming nationwide protest led by Innocent ‘Tuface’ Idibia.

In a post on his Twitter handle shortly after 10:00 p.m., Mr. Fayose said the organisers have his full backing to launch the protest which they said will be “massive”.
“To organisers of Feb. 5 “Enough is Enough” National Protest, you have my total support and I will be part of the protest,” the governor said.
Mr. Fayose is the latest public figure to queue behind the organisers of the demonstration, which is expected to hold simultaneously in different cities across the country.
Mr. Idibia, while announcing the protest last week, said the Buhari administration’s rudderlessness has left too many Nigerians languishing in poverty with little to be hopeful for about the future.
The police said they have been duly informed about the protest and will provide security for all participants, although the government called for patience and understanding amongst Nigerians.

All this advise are unnecessary. Hence the copy they have is same with the original you have it remains admissible. Name match weather first name, middle last name date of birth, all needs to be same as it is in your original copy.

If you have additional documents that has your first name is ok. People just give unnecessary fear and advise

Good Luck
Thank you, I just hope they don't ask for legal name change documentation, e.g deed poll.

Talk to an immigration lawyer, this can seriously delay your I-485... they take birth certificates very seriously and they may require you to provide more proof than a mere letter. Save yourself the unecessary RFEs.
Thanks a lot for your response. I also plan to include secondary documents that show earlier use of the name. So far I have found my WAEC result, first school leaving certificate and temporary voters card.

Just write a letter to explain this and have the letter notarized. United States ain't Nigeria that always try to give people unnecessary headache.
Thank you.
TravelRe: U.S. Immigration Questions: Ask A U.S. Consular Officer by nicolasbood: 5:30am On Jan 09, 2017
VisaOfficer, I will be filling I-485 (adjustment of status) in the US soon. However on my birth certificate, only my middle and last name appears. My first name is missing. My parents were undecided about a first name at the time of registration of my birth. From childhood, I have been accustomed to being called my first name and I have used it in all of my documents (Education, Travel Passports etc).

I have an attestation of birth from NPC with my full names (I was born in the mid 80's, before NPC). However, I plan to submit affidavit of "one and same person" from my parents, and some documents to show earlier use of my first name and the date of birth (so far, my brother has found my First school leaving certificate of 2002, WAEC result of 2004, 2011 voters card, .......)

Do you think this will solve the potential problem.

Thank you for your anticipated response.
TravelUSCIS: First Name Not On Birth Certificate. Please Help! by nicolasbood(op): 12:25am On Jan 09, 2017
Experienced people on nairaland and moderators. PLEASE I NEED YOUR HELP ON THIS, I HAVE NOT SLEPT WELL IN THE PAST THREE DAYS.

I will be filling I-485 (adjustment of status) in the US soon. However on my birth certificate, my middle and last name is there but my first name is missing. My parents were undecided about a first name at the time of registration of my birth. From childhood, I have been accustomed to being called my first name and I have used it in many of my documents.

I don't think the local government area that issued it can correct this (Since it was done in 1982, in my country). Will an affidavit of "same person" from parents solve this? Anyone with similar experience?

Please help
