hi, i am from singapore, and would let to know if anyone heard of Bluewireless inc located in 111 GSM phone village Lagos state nigeria? Are they reputable? Anyone got their contacts? Because i wanted to order phones from them online, but they only accept western union payment, Because i already paid this so call sales guy from bluewireless inc 50% and he supposed to send me the phones over first, before i make the balance 50%. But nw he had a change in mind and asked to make the full payment before he sent the phones to me,  Anyone here gt any suggestions? Thanks.
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by Seun(m): 12:32am On Apr 19, 2006
You are being scammed because <<snip>>.

Why would anyone want to buy phones from a Nigerian phone company? Do we manufacture phones in Nigeria? if you want to import phones, why not import from Asian countries like China or Taiwan where phones are manufactured?

And there is nothing like "GSM phone village" in Nigeria. Why didn't you ask us before sending money?
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by auwal(m): 1:26am On Apr 19, 2006
there is gsm village.
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by auwal(m): 1:27am On Apr 19, 2006
there is gsm village.
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by hazey(f): 1:38am On Apr 19, 2006
hi auwal, is there a gsm village? Now i am more confused, so now can anyone just help me out, to see if this company is legal and is it an existing company in nigeria? http://www.bluewirelessinc.com/ . Really hope you guys can help me out, and can somebody help me see if this is a scam website as well also. Many thanks and god bless.
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by Seun(m): 3:00am On Apr 19, 2006
Someone else came here to complain after dealing with the same company. The website is good, but nothing stops a scammer from building a beautiful website. the important question is: how did you find out about them?
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by hazey(f): 3:11am On Apr 19, 2006
nwoke, i found out about them thru those classfied ads also. The person complained abt this matter, is it the same company? I read abt it, and seems like its a totally different handphone company? do you think you can call the guy for me?
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by Seun(m): 3:28am On Apr 19, 2006
I'm curious to know why you chose them over the thousands of phone and ipod sellers in Asia and especially your country Singapore. Are their prices lower than what you can get in Asia? If so, how come?
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by hazey(f): 3:42am On Apr 19, 2006
Nwoke, because i am still new to this industry, that is why i am sourcing for suppliers all over the world for cheap price in handphones. I am starting up small, so the hp quantity i am looking at is nt very high, so its quite difficult for me to find suppliers in asia like taiwan and china without contacts also, because they take in big quantites only. Actually pricings quoted for me in nigeria is pretty good, and if i sell if off, i would probably earn abt 30%, as i cant sell the same price as to compare to those big mobile companys. So i really hope i can find someone here who can act as middle man for me, or recommend me a good hp supplier for me to buy in stocks to singapore.
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by rikkyjen(m): 1:24pm On Apr 19, 2006
You ve been Scammed a great deal, my dear. Dont just pay the remaining 50% otherwise, you may end up in tears!!
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by Bossman(m): 1:53pm On Apr 19, 2006
This is definitely a scam. You need to run and don't look back! Hopefully you did not loose too much money on this. Have you heard of 419 before. Well, you have now.

Anything that sounds too good to be true is definitely not true. If it were true everyone would be jumping on the deal. Nigeria does not manufacture phones. So, how in the world would they be able to supply it to you at all, talkless of supplying at a cheaper price.

Hope you learnt your lesson.

Edit: At least you are only down $400, as I read in your other post. So, it's not too bad.
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by hazey(f): 2:15pm On Apr 19, 2006
hi, thanks everybody for the help. Bt the supplier had told me he already shipped out the goods, using amx courier services. May i know if that website is it scam as well? http://www.amxcourier-ltd.com/. Hope somebody can help me out, god bless you all.
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by Bossman(m): 2:32pm On Apr 19, 2006
Well, if he shipped the goods (goods that you paid only 50% on, very unlikely). Did he forward you a tracking # or reference #?

You can contact thet shipper if you need to though:

Office Address

Telephone
37A Apapa-Oshodi
Expressway,
Lagos, Nigeria.

Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by hazey(f): 2:49pm On Apr 19, 2006
hi bossman,

He did give me a reference number, but he ask me to pay the balance by tomorrow. Which is he told me that the shipment would arrive the day after. But nw the problem is i am nt sure if this is a fraud website, as i heard of such cases before. No such courier services exist, or probably the tracking number he gave me is fake. Bossman , are you from nigeria? Do you think you can check out for me? Like help me call the courier services, Would be really greatful if you would help me check it out. Or probably after i make the payment, he could stop the shipment also. What do you think?
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by Seun(m): 2:59pm On Apr 19, 2006
Since he says the phone has already been shipped, wait patiently for it to arrive. If it arrives on schedule, then pay the balance. If not, then count your losses and run, run, run from similar deals. The second scenario is far more likely.

In Nigeria, we produce crude oil, agricultural raw materials, arts and crafts (to a lesser extent). We do not manufacture phones; we import them from Asia which is where you live. Won't the cost of shipping nullify any potential gains? did they even remember to charge you for that?

These fake websites (phone shop, courier company0 are more beautiful than most legitimate ones. Nigerian scammers are getting more sophisticated. Whoever designed those websites from them deserves to be whipped.
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by hazey(f): 3:02pm On Apr 19, 2006
Nwoke, is there anyway to check if the website is a scammer? Has anybody used the that courier service before? pls advise. Thanks

hi, can any experts out there tell me hw to see a scam website? How do you judge to see if www.amxcourier-ltd.com is a fake site? Can any IT people out there, tell me hw to see the codings? Thanks alot for those who helped out in my postings.
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by Bossman(m): 6:17pm On Apr 19, 2006
Yes, I am from Nigeria. But, I live in Chicago. So you are on your own there.

You, as a prudent individual need to able to figure this out. And, most of the time, you should be able to tell what is legit from what is not. A Nigerian supplying phones to you in HK or wherever is a big joke! Try to call the number above and see if you can reach somebody. Also, verify if that number is the same as the contact number of the person. If it is, no point calling, just count your losses and move on.

If he has really shipped the goods, and gave you a reference #, then just wait and see if the goods arrive. I can assure you though, that's it's unlikely that the goods were shipped without full payment. Since that means you can easily scam him too.

IMHO, I think you are being taken for a ride. I'd say open the door and jump out before the damn vehicle crashes!
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by hazey(f): 9:55am On Apr 20, 2006
hi,

can any nigerian out there help me to be the middle man for my deal or not, this sales guy kept on calling me non stop thruout the day, to ask me to make the balance payment. I just need someone to help me go to the address, to see if the goods and this man exist, and ensured that my goods are sent to fedex. I can pay you as well if the deal can go on smoothly, Hope someone out there can help me out. God bless.
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by Bossman(m): 1:03pm On Apr 20, 2006
I guess nobody can help. Don't tell me you do not have a contact # for this person.
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by layi(m): 1:24pm On Apr 20, 2006
Why would he accept 50% upfront and then change his mind "after" you had sent the moeny. Thats against good business ethics. A great indication that you've been scammed. If not, he can still change his mind after you send him the balance. think about it.
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by hazey(f): 1:42pm On Apr 20, 2006
hi, i have contacts for the guy, but i just need someone in nigeria to verify for me his existance and the company. I have his number, and he kept on calling me still. I have his contact, bt can anyone help me call on my behalf as well? Thanks.
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by gbengaijot(m): 2:06pm On Apr 20, 2006
Report him to efcc if he takes your money away. i strongly believe that that guy scammed you. why will you buy fone in Nigeria?,
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by Bossman(m): 2:35pm On Apr 20, 2006
Have you been able to contact him on the number provided? Post the number here and let the folks in Nigeria see if it's legit. You are only down $400 US. I'd say you count your losses and move on. You entered into this yourself so you need to dig yourself out of it. It sure seems like you did not do your homework on the company before dealing with him. So, you actually thought you were going to get a bunch of phones (from someone in Nigeria or anywhere in the world for that matter) for $800 right?

Like others have posted, You have information on him, so you may be able to report him to the authorities. I'll let the folks in Nigeria chime in on that one.
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by hazey(f): 2:48pm On Apr 20, 2006
hi guys, this so called sales guy that i contacted, he named himself as agnes, and he always use this number, 234-8060693335 (HP)/ 234-8026900051 to contact me. So far i still can be able to get him. But the money i have made through was sent to so called his accounts department call Christophere Nwachukwu. He even provide me a legal doument which he named as a proof of the company, which i think it looks like a fake.

Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by hazey(f): 2:51pm On Apr 20, 2006
hi can anyone tell me hw to report him to the authories? Like efcc? what is that? Any email or website i can see, so that i can report about him. I only have his numbers, but i am not sure if the address he gave me is valid or not? Thanks for the help guys, or any other helpful nigerian can help me also. Your help would be deeply appreciated.
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by Bossman(m): 2:58pm On Apr 20, 2006
Agnes sounds like a female's name. That document does not mean jack! Just call him and let him know you want to back out of the deal. Believe me, he has not sent you anything.
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by hazey(f): 3:10pm On Apr 20, 2006
ya bossman, he called me today, say the good are on transit somewhere, and unless i pay the balance, if not he would hold on to the goods. He call himself agnes fred. He seems to be like calling me more than 10times a day. I already told him i want to call off this deal, as he did not do as what he promised. Then he kept on insisting to me that his company his real and legit. I told him i know someone there and he say can ask the person to call him.
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by Bossman(m): 3:34pm On Apr 20, 2006
I think you know for sure now that you have been scammed! Agnes & Fred are 2 first names (at least mostly). Since he still have access to the goods, and you have paid him half for the cost of the total deal, ask him to only send you half of the goods and see what he says. You've already paid him half anyway.

I know all you are trying to do if see if you can get your $400 back. I do not see that happening. I also do not see you receiving any good at all. Search the internet for "the Nigerian 419 scam" You are just another victim of this scam. The good thing out of all of this is that you did not get taken for a lot of money.
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by hazey(f): 3:46pm On Apr 20, 2006
bossman, i know maybe i cant get back my money , but i still hope i can report this man to your local authories so that he couldnt spam anyone else anymore. I did told him since i paid half, then ask him to send me half my orders, but he said he already send the full orders, and i cant back out like that. I already told him that i would want to call off the deal, and he say probably his company would sue me. I told him i am not in the wrong, as i have email evidence saying that i could receive my goods when i pay half, and upon receiving and chking the goods are in good condition, then i send the balance half.
Re: I Sent Money to A Nigerian Phone Shop by gbengaijot(m): 5:32pm On Apr 20, 2006
Hazey, ask him that he should refund your money, and see what he says. tell him you dont want the phones anymore. if he gives you a tracking number for the shipping you can track him from the website and if he tells you that he has sent it, tell him to email a confirmation letter to you.
if he does please post it on here.

after that you can think of informing the EFCC. their site is www.efccnigeria.org you can check for more info.
