gracious?

When you're losing, you need to be gracious, her flaw has always been that she is too hard and impersonal, not likeable or not. She knew that if she came out fighting it would hurt her even more. Remember the tears of NH?

That was all she could do - appeal to the nicer side of people, because she is fighting a losing battle. It worked for her in NH, lets see if it works here. Hillary is obviously a better debater, since she's had more experience, but she did not do enough in my view to dampen Obama's momentum. It may well be over for her now.

It might not be over for her, Obama is on a winning streak right now but lets wait till march after Ohio and Texas. I couldnt believe people actually jeered when she was talking about the plaglarism thingy, Her speeches are too scripted, she needs a PR strategist like moi to give her the motivational vocabulary of the people whose votes she wants grin

Exit pools show that the lead she enjoys is getting smaller. Agreed, Obama may not win those states but then he at least has reduced the gap. Obama 4 President.

Well now Obama critics are accusing him of not being patriotic enough because he was photographed without his hands on his chest when the national anthem was playing. We'll see how this turns out come march 4th.

Gov Kathleen Sebelius for Obama's VP.

Good choice to pacify senior white women voters
Re: The Hidden Agenda Of Hillary And Obama: by BigB11(m): 6:45pm On Feb 24, 2008
First, who is Gov Kathleen Sebelius? Governor of what state?

Second, capturing the votes of just old white women voters is not the answer or path to the victory. Obama needs much more than that.
Finally, if necessary H. Clinton will be the perfect VP for Obama.
Why?
1. She is already out there, She doesn't need time consuming introduction process.
2. She has a very large number of followers
3. She is aggressive and has enormous experience in-term of national security and DC political games.
4. 98% of her policies/ agendas are very similar to Sen Obama's.
5. Her campaign camp still has million of dollars left, which could be brought to Obama/ Hillary's camp.
6. The merging of the two (Obama and Hillary) will give a complete meaning to the word "CHANGE", and I think that will only empower their messsage.

Trust me, the combination of the two is an automatic touch down; nobody else fit that position (VP) better.

Gov of Kansas and shares a lot of political views as Obama

Hillary has simply undermined her self so much, did u see her publicly denying Nafta and her Health policies? She is such an actor.

At this point I dont see how Obama/Hillary ticket will work except she puts up another stunt appologising to Obama in Cleveland Ohio on Tuesday.

after the "shame on you Obama" stunt i will perish the idea of both barack and hilary on the democratic ticket.

Yes, I saw her. She is crazy and desperate; but that is also what politics is all about.
You have to do anything to get the "W".

I see her craziness as an advantage. I think they (Obama and Hillary) compliment one another. "One is crazy and aggressive, the other one is sincere, passionate and also aggressive". I see a very healthy marriage.

FYI: the republicans are very concerned and scared of the merging of the two!

Obama as a politician understands this protocol.

I will not be surprised if both candidates (Obama and Hillary) holla at one another just this morning!

That is the name of the game; you can not be emotional and at the same time be a successful politician.

This is also why many that consider themselves "decent human beings" stay away from politics and why lawyers represent great politicians.

May be Kathleen Sebelius may not have gone to Yale or Havard, but I don't see what Hillary brings to the table that Kathleen does not.

Obama can not promise new kind of politics in November and yet embrace the politics of yesterday in the form of Hillary.
Re: The Hidden Agenda Of Hillary And Obama: by BigB11(m): 7:18pm On Feb 24, 2008
I think I've seen her once before, I think she is too white. The merging of the two (Obama and Kathleen) doesn't bring the required fire. She seems to be decent, passive and too white. I truly can not see the chemistry between the two.

Hillary, on the other hand is crazy, is a brand name, aggressive, has a little Blackness (she has done a lot for Black folks) and knows how to get what she wants. She understands the DC political games (that is very important).

For now, I will get to know Kathleen a little bit more; this process might take another 13 months!

Compare Clinton's "shame on you Obama" speech to Obama's confident speech shruging off her attacks. At this point, she is desperate to win big in Ohio and Texas

Obama: Don't assume I'll take VP slot

COLUMBUS, Miss. - Democrat Barack Obama ridiculed the idea of being Hillary Rodham Clinton's running mate Monday, saying voters must choose between the two for the top spot on the fall ticket.

The Illinois senator used his first public appearance of the week to knock down the notion that he might accept the party's vice presidential nomination. He noted that he has won more states, votes and delegates than Clinton so far.

"I don't know how somebody who is in second place is offering the vice presidency to the person who is first place," Obama said, drawing cheers and a long standing ovation from about 1,700 people in Columbus, Miss.

Saying he wanted to be "absolutely clear," he added: "I don't want anybody here thinking that somehow, 'Well, you know, maybe I can get both.' Don't think that way. You have to make a choice in this election."

"I am not running for vice president," Obama said. "I am running for president of the United States of America."

Obama aides said Clinton's recent hints that she might welcome him as her vice presidential candidate appeared meant to diminish him and to attract undecided voters in the remaining primary states by suggesting they can have a "dream ticket."

Obama had never suggested he might accept a second spot on the ticket. But until Monday he had not ridiculed the notion so directly, even if he did completely rule it out in Shermanesque terms.

He told the audience that it made no sense for Clinton to suggest he is not ready to be president and then hint that she might hand him the job that could make him president at a moment's notice

"If I'm not ready, how is it that you think I should be such a great vice president?" he said, as the crowd laughed and cheered loudly.

Mississippi holds it primary Tuesday, the last contest before the Pennsylvania primary six weeks from now.

Clinton and her husband, the former president, had suggested recently that a Clinton-Obama ticket would be popular and formidable against Republican Sen. John McCain in November.

Many political activists discounted the notion all along. They noted that the two senators lack a warm relationship and, more important, that Obama would be ill-served by hinting he might accept the vice presidential slot when he holds the lead in delegates and hopes to win the presidential nomination.

In the latest Associated Press count, Obama leads Clinton, 1,578-1,472. He has won 28 contests to her 17.

Moreover, many insiders feel the ambitious and fast-rising Obama would chafe in the vice president's job, especially in a White House where Bill Clinton would almost surely play a huge advisory role.

Still, the notion of a Clinton-Obama ticket has received ample discussion in recent days on cable TV news shows and newspapers such as New York City's tabloids.

In an interview Friday in Wyoming with KTVQ-TV, a CBS affiliate based in Billings, Mont., Obama's comments were somewhat mixed.

"Well, you know, I think it's premature," he said of accepting the second spot on the ticket. "You won't see me as a vice presidential candidate."

His Monday remarks were more detailed, pointed and humorous.

Of course, they will not completely end the speculation. Presidential candidates routinely disavow any interest in the vice presidential spot. But some, including John Edwards and Al Gore, change their minds when they fall short of their top goal.
