The judiciary can only redeem themselves once Yaradua is successfully sacked by the Supreme court. By compensating Nigerians with Adams will not clear the taint on the judiciary by Ogebe. Congrats to all Edo citizens though.

A very intresting development in Edo state; Thank God for the will of accountability. My hope is dat oshimole possesses a leadership of visions and organisation, coupled with his other characteristics like his communication skills.


@emekanaija, the judiciary doen't have to redeem themselves by impeaching Yar adua. Eventhough Yar adua was installed by OBJ, I still believe that it was the best choice amongst all that contested in many ways. D process by which yar adua came in was very doubtful but yar adua was and IS still the best choice amongst atiku and buhari.
Atiku has his advantages which are limited compared to yar adua and as for Buhari, he's just like this kind of tribalistic kano guy that keeps thinking old fashion ways and wants to set one place way way better than others egkano and knows less foreign affairs if is not muslim. God is using yar adua and goodluck to help laydown the essential foundation on democracy which is like one of yar adua's strength right now. Yar adua is also skilled in changing the mindset by acting silent, dull and boring to the "older must finish Nigeria" politicians but he's in favour the broader public and hoping things don't back fire.
Yar adua is also educated which is an added advantage including many more and yet not buhari or atiku would have staked their presidency on accountability and economic prosperity. More YEAH to Yar adua.

I dont think there is anything wrong in Benins/ Ishans or whoever rules the state, as long as they are responsible and accountable. However as almondjoy says, what is the assurance that Mr Adams will not do more damage/steal more than his predecessors? We need to begin to see beyond my clan/tribe/state issue if we will ever progress. Any joy derived from this may be shortlived so no need to be too excited.

My sentiments exactly.  Is it not Nigeria? The politics of Godfatherism reigns supreme.  Let us see what Oshiomole will do if given the chance.  I refuse to be carried away by such empty sentiments. Anything good does not last in Nigeria.  The get killed off quickly, especially in Edo state.

thank GOD for once,the might of the people triumphed over politics of money and bribes,shows GOD has not forgotten nigeria and still has us in his plans the appeal is as good as won for him as well because i dont really see any strong grounds for appeal as its a clear cut judgement, the hard part has been won and he should be very careful not to go the same way the likes of ebenezer babatope,pascal bafyau and co have gone and to make sure he sticks to his ideals and make the labour movement and edo ppl proud of voting him in and it will also help nigerians in educating them politically about collecting money from aspirants and selling their votes as opposed to voting the man of the people in nice one to him
