When people who knows what govt means talk about Nigeria being a joke some patriotic Nigerians will come and defend it as if Nigeria is worth living. Its sad i am saying this because i love my country but then imagine this:

a cousin's friend came to live in this country as an assylum seeker, meaning he does not belong to this country, he is a Nigeria. Few years after he arrived here he was diagonised with kidney failure and was put on the waiting list. After 2 years he received a letter from the hospital-they got a donor for him the guys has just died in a motor accident adn carried donor card. This my cousin's friend was asked to report tot he hospital with immediate effect for the transplant.

Now this donor was an Irish who was a donor (ppl who register to have their body parts used for medical research or to give to anyone in need in case they die). The man reported to the hospital and the transplant was done, he is not a celebrity neither is hea govt official, he is not even Irish, they do not know his father or his mother, yet all he did was report to the hospital and the transpant was done without him paying a dime, the govt paid because he was unemployed and could not afford to pay. He is still alive after 6 years and works with one of the banks here.

Now imagine this:

This guy has a donor and needs N7 million, his friends and family has been able to raise N2 million but the guy is going to die if the balance can not be raised. That amount is what an ordinary local govt chairman will blow on 'official' trip abroad, the amount a senator will give his son to holiday abroad or spend on his girlfriend's birthday party. But here lies this guy hoping only on God.

You think Nigeria is not a joke? Well, ok but please can we do our own best in whatever way we can help this guy. Alittle here and there and before you know it we can raise N% million to save his life.

This will be a great thing to do, but where do people pay the money into and who administer the money?

Here is the story

I don't know the guy, but was touched by his plight. I know we could all make the difference in this young couple's life

Akinola Akinyemi is a 35year old man, who was diagnosed of kidney failure just after he got married, three years ago. He lives in Ibadan but often travel to Lagos for dialises treatment which presently cost him 60,000naira. He presently does not have any kids. His parents are both alive, aged and not in any position to help financially.

He presently needs a transplant, which will be done in India. We as friends and family have managed to raise some amount of money, which is on going for the last eight months, his sister and other friends have been making donations on a monthly basis.

The doctor has urged his family to send him to India for an immediate kidney transplant for which a donor has been found.

This group is to support him financially and pray for him concerning his treatment.

God Almighty will continue to be with you as you support Akinola.

You can reach Akinola on +8022504935, or myself (Bola) on 07507654278.
