And after Xmas period I guess it'll come down further, cos that's the usual trend.

The truth is that the Jeep is still over priced at N2.4m, let me remind you that somebody already offered N1.7m but mannerless Akpumpin1 would not allow u negotiate further with the person because of his bad mouth. It's over a month now and the Jeep is still in ur stable, Naira then was 118 to the dollar but today it stands at 140 to the dollar, how nice it could have been if you guys concluded the deal then.

Just my two cents oh!

Pls stay away from my tread. I guess your aim is just to destroy my market.

And what do I stand to gain by destroying your market?

I can see you dont want to face the reality on ground, so how many people have responded to the tread in the over one month you've posted it? Even after threatening that the car is leaving for Benin, as if money dey benin pass lagos or Abuja! shocked

No problems, I'll stay off your tread like you've requested but I can bet that you won't see a buyer for this car if you stick to your current price, even if you carry am go Kafanchan!

I really dont understand what's up with you. It seems you really have time to quarrel with pple. FYI my agent in Nig. told me sale is pending. This is a sexist remark from you becos you wont do this in other treads.

@post,
great vehicle u've got there. but i must say that the price is too high for what you are asking.
An old school friend of mine is bringing same model for 1.6m directly from the USA to the door steps of another friend of ours.(cost of purchase, cost of shipment and clearing cost is all what the guy is paying for)
i can understand that the price of dollar to the naira has gone up, but try negotiating with the person that offered 1.7mil. you never can tell what will come out of it.

my two cents!!!
Re: 2006 Jeep Liberty (straight From US). Sold by Nobody: 9:41pm On Jan 02, 2009
visitor30, has it occurred to you that this is a FREE market and anyone is indeed free to list at any price they wish. Even if total landing price is N200k and a seller wants 1000% profit, it's up to him/her. The onus is on the buyer to decide what he can come up with/decide what the vehicle is worth to him/her. Comments like yours and sdbaba's just shows how some people run their mouths with no respect for other people's feelings. If the price is too high and you are concerned she won't be able to sell ( because of course, seeing her sell means a lot to you tongue), give the seller a call or send an email instead of making negative comments on her thread. That's just bad-mannered behavior and grown men should know better.
Re: 2006 Jeep Liberty (straight From US). Sold by Nobody: 10:11pm On Jan 02, 2009
@ sdbaba, seriously your behavior is becoming very irritating. You've priced at least 7 cars on this section since Nov with your offer ranging from N200k to N1.4m and cars varying from a '99 Audi A6 to '99 ML320 to 2000 ML to a RAV4, etc etc, the list goes on. You've quoted prices of what some cars cost in the US and the top price you can pay for a Tokunbo. This is 2009 yet no purchase and you're looking for info on shipping from Houston.

Which one you dey sef? by now you should know if you want to source the car from the US and ship in yourself or if you want to buy from a dealer on this forum. I notice you don't make your insulting offers on threads created by the big dealers - Inspired, Jenju, Babeisme and co.  You dish out that nonsense when dealing with the lesser known individuals.

You're a grown ass man (I hope), kindly tailor your behavior accordingly or take it to the jokes section -  maybe someone will actually find it funny. Even the cybercafe youths don't dedicate their time to this childish behavior. If you don't have anything positive to add to a car sale thread, move right along. If you're so worried that a car won't sell (you are losing sleep, you can't eat) because the price is too high and you sooooooo want the seller to sell, send them an email or call to express your heartfelt concern instead of making nasty comments. The anonymity created by the net is not an excuse for bad manners.

It's a new year, let it be a commitment to meaningful contributions.

@ deebeeg

Don't mean to derail your thread, I apologise but someone has to deal with these boors. Best wishes with your SUV.
Re: 2006 Jeep Liberty (straight From US). Sold by sdbaba: 1:46am On Jan 03, 2009
@wwheelz
I'm sure it is the frog you ate that is irritating you and not my posts, so you can go throw-up somewhere else. You sound to me like another akpumpin1 in disguise because you are the same person accusing me of meddling in the sellers affairs yet you went ahead to sniff through all my posts and accuse me of not knowing "which one I dey sef" like you put it, so who's guilty of meddling in other peoples affairs now?

One thing is clear from all my posts on the Autos section on Nairaland, I have not priced any car that is beyond my own power to purchase. You say I wouldn't comment on big sellers thread like Jenju, Dizzybizzy, Inspired_M and others. may be you need to sniff again and see wether I don't. I've even sent personal emails to Inspired telling him what I want and how much I have to pay for it. have you seen Inspired's new thread https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-212840.0.html  ? It is part of my emails to him that has made him come up with that and let's see how many people will benefit from that thread in the end.

You sound to me like somebody who's just seeking recognition so I won't take ur insults serious but never you try that with me again because u won't find it funny. If I price various cars with different price ranges how does that become your problem? Do you know what I want to use them for? or must I take permission from you to spend my hard earned money whichever way I like? You said "Even if total landing price is N200k and a seller wants 1000% profit, it's up to him/her. The onus is on the buyer to decide what he can come up with/decide what the vehicle is worth to him/her." if you share this view,  why are you then crucifying me for naming my own prices for such vehicles? Double - speak is what they call that. And about shipping a car from Houston,  I will let you know how that turns out in the end, just keep your poke-nosing eyes open on Nairaland.

Deebeg asked me to stay off her thread and even accused me of making sexist remarks on her thread just because I offered a sincere opinion - and what do I do? I maintained sealed lips and stayed off the thread but you just had to draw me back into making comments on this thread which I very much hate, but if I didn't reply you,  you will think that you've said and done something meaningful whereas you were just being an asshole seeking recognition.

If you're really concerned for Deebeg why not pay her the N2.4m she's asking for the SUV and carry the ride, or better still, link her up with a buyer for the same amount rather than your double speaking tendencies you've just exhibited here.
Re: 2006 Jeep Liberty (straight From US). Sold by Nobody: 5:58am On Jan 03, 2009
Why does your reaction not surprise me. Mr-Pricing-Analyst, If you are into offering sincere opinions then do it right - send an email or make a phone call. No need to display your uncultured behavior for all to see. I'm sure the sellers would appreciate your calling to tell them how they've overpriced their vehicles. You are nothing but a bully, a loudmouth and a boor. The crime here is that people like you actually have internet access. Does it look like they are selling akara and moimoi in this section? In the 2 months you've been here, people have sealed multi-million naira deals and you still dey dere running your mouth without thought.

You hide behind your keyboard, why don't you go to Apapa and offer your insulting prices if you get liver? You dey dere dey run commentary like a 9 year old (apologies to all 9 yr olds).  I'm still  waiting for you to go and tell Inspired and co that their prices are too high and they should have sold to the guy that offered N1 and all that rubbish you spew out. Your intention is not to buy but to talk-talk like any other person with too much time on their hands and nothing going on in their lives. Like I said, take it to the  jokes section, you've become a sideshow but unfortunately have overstayed your welcome. In the event that you eventually buy from a Nairalander within the next couple of years, please make sure I hear the announcement so I can celebrate with you  tongue.

So you price different cars at different prices to use them for what? The N200k Audi for use when buying suya, the N750k ML for going to Balogun and the N1.4m vehicle for your social engagements abi? Has it not occured to you that that someone with a budget from N200k - N1.4m simply does not know what he wants? Don't you know that's a N1.2m difference? So we should thank you for Inspired's thread abi Mr Financial Advisor? why don't you ask him to reward you with a car then instead of subjecting all of us to your nonsense.

Mr Moneybag, the issue is not whether the cars you are pricing are out of your reach or not, the issue is your lack of manners and thoughtless remarks. Since you know what you want (really, I believe you), what are you doing thread-hopping and pricing everything with a motor? Since you've confessed your price range is  N1m and below, take some  of this time you have on your hands to check out the market and make your offers accordingly on the appropriate threads. If you make a lowball offer and it's ignored, no need to start a narrative about how the seller should have sold to lagbaja or should have priced like tamedu.

It's fairly obvious that I'm not interested in buying the Jeep but if I was, trust me, my good manners are inbred - I would not be displaying such crass behavior as you  have. We await your imports from Houston, I trust that in your "sincerity" you will be able to sell at cost price.

Thank you for the revelation - I didn't know I could seek recognition by making posts on Nairaland  shocked shocked abeg how  much can that fetch me per post, enough to buy you a car so you can stop disgracing yourself?  cheesy cheesy

@ deebeeg, sorry again o! Happy New Year  grin grin

It's obvious you're a morron and you talk before you think cause if not, you'd have realised that I never bidded this Jeep before you concluded in ur post and I quote "If you make a lowball offer and it's ignored".

I'm not making any more posts on this thread, so if you want to know my response to ur senseless rantlings here, go to https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-177805.0.html , Omopenu! tongue
