What do you suggest to this scenario. A woman[b]due to problems during delivery [/b] has to chose within 3 minutes either staying alive or agreeing to kill her unborn child which may kill her if delivered.

Even anti-abortion campaigners know the answer to this one: forget the child and save the mother - the mother can have another child later.

Well, it's alive in the womb so if it was once alive and now it's dead I would think that it can be killed. Just a thought.

Yes, but, think about it. There are so many living sperms (and eggs) that go to waste regularly. Millions of cells in your body that die every day. And there is a point in the development of the embryo (through fusion of a living sperm and a living ovum) when it consists of just one cell. At that point (say maybe the sperm was a from a hostile source) most people might have reason to get rid of it and not feel guilty. At that point, the single celed baby might be in a test tube, in case of in-vitro fertilisation, and the parents might say "we don't want the baby anybody" and the "baby" will have to be destroyed. So I think it's fuzzy, really.

Oh yes, but at that point it's rare that it's a risky pregnancy. It's usually when the "fetus" has grown a bit more. Even as early as 8 weeks it has developed a brain. I think it's more of a human at that time, but like you say, it's fuzzy.

This fuzziness is the reason why a war-mongering president can claim to be a 'Christian' and people would believe.

I'm all for Christians killing themselves.

In times of war(LEGITIMATE WAR - Like when your country is attacked and you are in the army), yes, a Christian who kills has committed no sin.

The Bible encourages self-defense. If you are attacked, run away, if you cant defend yourself. And dont wait to be attacked in the first place. But if the ultimate self defense is to kill your opponent, theres no sin in that either. However, that must be if there is no other option at hand. If you fold your hands and get killed, you wont received God's pat on your head.

Yes, the DOCTOR decides with the consent of the mother. If aborting the child to save the mother is the best option from the medical point of view, after all options have been exhausted, let the child go. First things first. The mother came first before the child.

Gods word's to Jeremiah: Do you know what that means? That God knows every unborn child and they are counted as part of MAN. Every unborn child has a SOUL.

Yes, there is no outright "THOU SHALT NOT KILL an uborn child" in the Bible, but remember that the command "THOU SHALT NOT KILL" was referring to a MAN(male/female) killing a MAN. The major difference between MAN and animals is that MAN has a SOUL. The unborn child also has a SOUL. so put 2+2 together.

dont also forget the justice of the almighthy will hold you responsible for any harm you do to your body and anything that might cause your body harm try your possible best to avoid it at all cost, you've got to save your life, but not in the case of abortion where the foetus doesnt pose any threat.

Animals have 'souls' too, if by 'soul' you mean self-consciousness. That doesn't make them human.
