Dudes;can You Rock Bags As An Accessory? by g4d4f1(m): 2:24pm On Jan 09, 2009
I've noticed most dudes don't dig certain type of accessories? Is it because we don't see the need for it or simply not wanting to appear superficial is it the unavailability in the market or just not our style? Apart from the occasional watch and gold chains why don't boiz rock accessories like leather bags (Messenger, pouch, briefcases).I think it makes a good compliment for all dress types and occasions.
The reason for my query? I intend on starting a biz in luxury leather bags and accessories for Men.Do any of the bruvas see a market? Abeg una don't just read and pass I need ur responses.

Tufiakwa
a man should not carry a purse abeg
what for?
to keep his make up and cologne or what?
It's not manly abeg
God forbid bad things
anything that can't fit in his pocket when we're going out is not needed.
This should not be encouraged o
I have a son

I think it's necessary if you're a man that carries more than a wallet especially to work.It works well for your books, documents, brolly and sometimes the stuffs you pick up while out and about. The monostraps (messenger bags) are just ideal, the other types are just for fashion.
@ osisi. Would you allow you son to rock this?

Tenx men.especially with the beckam pic.Thats kinda like what I meant.I think this should really be considered as a top accessory for the discerning man. They serve as your bulgy good-for-nothing-suitcase which is just weight on it's own.I think this generation of men don't carry anything to work, obviously being used to putting their notebooks in their backpockets 4rm secondary school days.

Some of you guys speak with a hint of disgust and thats dissapointing considering the issue here is fashion and not sexual lifestyle. If you feel the need to make banters about people possesing certain items because of their choice of living keep it to the barest limit.Tolerance is the reason why we co-exist as humans.
@ Toyosi, as a woman what is scary standing next to a man carrying a leather messenger bag?
Re: Dudes;can You Rock Bags As An Accessory? by Okijajuju1(m): 9:51pm On Jan 14, 2009
Man bag, Man-purse, Murse or whatever you call it straight up gay.

If you are a student like the bloke in the picture, then its understandable.
If you are beckham, then cool
If yo have a good reason for slinging one, then cool.

But if you are going out for drinks with the fellas, and you sling a bag, then you better check your sexuality.
If you sling a bag to the club, then you are fudge-packing fo sho.
If you sling a bag to church, then there really is a problem somewhere.

I say its GAY simple. angry

Thats just straight up contradicting. If it's "cool" n "understandable" how's it end up "gay, simple"?

I doubt anybody in his right mind would carry a bag, whether its a man-bag or a school bag or a briefcase to a church, club or a hangout. . .

. . .but if that happens, well that's straight up NUTS.

Touchy! undecided
Sexual lifestyle is a lifestyle and comes with it's fashion.
There is an integration of fashion from all walks of life.

Right,so technically you appear on the GAY-DAR once you sling a bag over your shoulder going anywhere other than work? What are the requirments for joing the fashion police?
Re: Dudes;can You Rock Bags As An Accessory? by KarmaMod(f): 3:40pm On Jan 15, 2009
The guy by the bus is wearing it wrong

The only way for a dude to wear the man-bag is the way Beckham is wearing it.

any other way is suspect.

That aside I think it looks hott depending on teh dude shaaaaaaaaa o

No come carry mini ghana must go. ejo

Just wanting to fault the whole man-bag thing. . . not cool babe.

There ain't a single rule on carrying bags, period. I guess the pictures below makes Christiano n Robert Downey gay, right.

For those guys tryin to fault this accessory, lacking a sense of style or fashion isn't a crime.
There's are terms "metrosexual" "technosexual" look 'em up n stop hating.

Re: Dudes;can You Rock Bags As An Accessory? by KarmaMod(f): 4:19pm On Jan 15, 2009
Downey's actually bisexual so thanks for proving my point

wouldnt surprise me if Christino has smoked a few pipes either esp with hair like that PLUS his own bag doesnt have a strap so how else would he carry it?

Carry go jare

Beckham's way the only way to go cool
Re: Dudes;can You Rock Bags As An Accessory? by D1KeleVra(m): 4:27pm On Jan 15, 2009
You'd go to that extent?

As for ur comment on Cristiano. . . maybe he just could grip it with his palm.

No you don't appear on the gaydar just for slinging a bag, if that is all the gaydar does, then it is broken.

That Downey Jr. pic is hilarious.  I don't even carry bags that way.
Same thing with Ronaldo, - bag underneath armpit and arm at 90degrees grin grin Am not surprised @ him though.
The kill would be if he let his wrist hang cheesy
He should just have held it by the loop or grip it.
