Is the religion in America known as the Nation of Islam the same thing as ordinary Islam?. Do they have the same doctrines like real muslims?
Re: What Is The Nation Of Islam by AloyEmeka8: 4:44am On Aug 08, 2009
No muslim here can tell me the difference between Islam and the nation of Islam?
Re: What Is The Nation Of Islam by olabowale(m): 6:19am On Aug 08, 2009
Not all muslims in america are Nation of islam. As am concern, they are not muslims because they do not make Salah and they read too much the bible, while they do not read anything from the Quran. If you have seen the inside of any church with the seating bench arangement, you have seen the inside of the nation of Islam's temple!

Thats not islam.

Greetings,

Islam and the so-called "Nation of Islam" are two different religion. Muslims consider this group to be just one of many cults using the name of Islam for their own gain. The only thing common between them is the jargon, the language used by both. "The Nation of Islam" is a misnomer; this religion should be called Farrakhanism, after the name of its propagator, Louis Farrakhan. Islam and Farrakhanism differ in many fundamental ways. For example, Farrakhan followers believe in racism and that the "black man" was the original man and therefore superior, while in Islam there is no racism and everyone is considered equal in the sight of God (i.e. Allah, the Creator), the only difference being in one piety. There are many theological examples that show the "Nation of Islam"'s teachings have nothing to do with true Islam.

There are too much explanation on that. I only don't get much time at my disposal to say it all. I hope my little piece says something. Thanks

So Muhammad Ali is not really a muslim?. I used to think the nation of Islam is a more liberal form of Islam.

I can't answer this. I don't know.

Aloy_Emeka:

It's not. Islam denounces the so-called liberalism campaigns by Euro-American tutelage- succumbed Muslims.

the NOI is by no means liberal lol.

they are a black supremacist group.

The Nation of Islam is not the same as normal Islam. It is very Afrocentric (occasionally racist) and excludes many of the teachings of Islam.

I could go into detail but it would take ages. Just talk to one of them and you will find out you're speaking of Islam on very different levels if at all.

Protestant is a more liberal form of catholic, will be a more right or more correct statement that what you have said above. Afterall, you both have 3 persoanlities god. Sorry, I wantd to use the "G" but my conscience took over, forcing me to ask myself, which one of them will deserve a "G" versus the others with "g"? Or are they each "G"?

Very good advice.

Please do go in detail because I still don't know what doctrine they hold differently since their allegiance is to the same Muhammad.

Won't you ever read between the lines? I wonder.

I, in my first response to this thread, stated: For example, Farrakhan followers believe in racism and that the "black man" was the original man and therefore superior, while in Islam there is no racism and everyone is considered equal in the sight of God (i.e. Allah, the Creator), the only difference being in one piety.

That says something, right? What more do you wanna know?

Here is another info I got to clear more airs regarding this sect.

Reprint from Op-Ed section of Barutiwa Newspaper (ISSN 1080-997x) on March 22, 1996.

It is our earnest desire to make it clear to our subscribers and the media (who empathize with the cause of Barutiwa championing the voice of young Black people) that this publication does not support Louis Farrakhan in any sense. There are three primary reasons why we are not charmed by his usual sensations.

FIRST: As ardent Muslims, we cannot promote a demagogue who has intentionally attempted to tarnish the veracity of the Islamic civilization and way of life by denouncing the sheer monotheism we profess in God (or Allah in the Arabic language). In Farrakhan's newspaper THE FINAL CALL he states: "We believe that Allah (God) appeared in the Person of Master W. Fard Muhammad, July, 1930; the long-awaited "MESSIAH" of the Christians and the "Mahdi" of the Muslims." This belief of Farrakhan and his followers is in direct conflict with the Qur'an (our Holy Book). In Islam, we do not believe that God will manifest Himself in the person of any man or woman. That is why God sent the Prophets and Messengers to instruct the people onto the right path. Since it is unbefitting of the Creator to lower himself to the station of the created. And if He would do such a thing, as appearing in the person of a man, He know that people would worship the person in lieu of Himself, The Creator of all. Thus, again, we have the Prophets and the Messengers sent by The Creator, instead of appearing in the person of a man, to call the people to the worship of Him, alone. In one of the final chapters of our noble Qur'an, God has stated: "Say: God is one. God is self-subsisting. He begets not; nor is He begotten. And there is none compared to Him." Hence, we cannot accept Farrakhan because he is promoting lies about the essential building blocks of our beloved way of life, ISLAM.

SECOND:
As ardent Muslims, we cannot empathize with Farrakhan because he has challenged the rank of the greatest man on earth, The Prophet Muhammad (570 A.D. - 632 A.D.) the founder of our beloved religion, ISLAM, more than 1400 years ago. Louis Farrakhan claims to be a prophet. In Islam we believe that the founder of our religion, theology, civilization and way of life, The Prophet Muhammad, is the final prophet to mankind. Any Muslim who defy this second pillar of faith cease to be among us. The Prophet Muhammad said in his last speech before his death in 632 A.D. in Mecca, Saudi Arabia: "O People, No Prophet or Messenger will come after me and no new faith will be born. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand words which I convey to you. I leave behind two things, the Qur'an and my example, if you follow these you will never go astray."

THIRD: As African Americans loyal to our race, our independence movement, and being well read, well traveled as we are, there is evidence that certain race up-lift organizations among our people are bent on exploiting and manipulating us for selfish interest and the interest of our oppressors. There is evidence that the Nation of Islam is one of these organizations, along with the NAACP and others. We cannot forget how the Nation of Islam was behind the assassination of Malcolm X (1965). Nor can we forget the NAACP was behind the deportation of our hero Marcus Garvey (1927) and the political alienation of Martin Luther King, Jr. (1968).

The publication BARUTIWA is free of impurities. It is completely controlled and financed by myself, the Founder & Editor-in-Chief, and can sincerely guarantee the superiority of our readers voice on any issue or topic as long as the expressions are not hostile to the 3 positions I have enumerated above. If you have any comments concerning this news release write editorialstaff@barutiwadaily.com.

Editor's Note: We have omitted the original contact info because it is no longer valid. We have provided the current email address of the author, which has been verified to be authentic.

@post :

Farrakhan's nation of Islam is a black group in the US who claim they are muslims they espoused hatred of the white people, Jews, Christians, and of the American system and they are protected by the same system. The behaviour in loathing and betraying western way of life is not different from the followers of Muhammed in all Western democracies. As far as the Arabs are concerned, the nation of Islam
(The Farrakhan group) is not nothing more than a big joke, since they are considered as Kuffar not only because they do not understand Arabic, but they do not follow the dictates of their mentor Elijah Muhammed.

Malcom X who belong to the original founding fathers found out that Elijah Muhammed was abusing his position by having sex with female members of the group. To keep his mouth shut, they had him slaughtered just like Muhammed used to do in Arabia 1400 years earlier. Nothing ever changes in the cult of Muhammedan Islam. Those who do their utmost to convert blacks to Muhammedan Islam never point out to their intended victims that they ( The black people) are in the US because of the Arab and Muhammedan slave trades. It was the Arabs and Muhammedan blacks who attack their villages, slaughter, rape their ancestors and have them shackle as if they were wild animals and sold them out of Africa.

You write that Nation Of Islam is not an Islamic organization, its in fact even referred to as a joke:

t.truth:

Farrakhan's nation of Islam is a black group in the US who claim they are muslims they espoused hatred of the white people, Jews, Christians, and of the American system and they are protected by the same system. The behaviour in loathing and betraying western way of life is not different from the followers of Muhammed in all Western democracies. Yet you claim here that they did what's a "practice" of Muhammad, may Allah exalt his mention. How? Why?

t.truth:

Malcom X who belong to the original founding fathers found out that Elijah Muhammed was abusing his position by having intimacy with female members of the group. Understood?

@Muhsin :

Do you actually read to understand Or you are too much in hurry to retaliate or carry out your online Jihad and as a result cannot even understand a simple English ?

I said the nation of Islam is a black group in the US (All their members are black people). Farrakhan is their leader. They hate the white people, Jews, Christians, and they hate the American system and they are protected by the same system. As far as the Arabs are concerned, the nation of Islam (The Farrakhan group) is not nothing more than a big joke, since they are considered as Kuffar not only because they do not understand Arabic, but they do not follow the dictates of their mentor Elijah Muhammed.

For more information, read about the nation of Islam. So please read with understanding, and don't be gullible. The Arab (system that you are appraising) don't like black people. You need to remember that all black people are all from the same parents !!!

Also your question shows you are naive, what a pity sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad ? You are just following a cult belief system like Malu. I really pity you sad sad sad

Have you asked yourself why is Islam so riddled with violence alone in the Northern Nigeria, instead of denying facts and veracity all the time ? Why do they have Maitaisine, Boko Haram, Kola Kato and other militants in the north ? If Muttalab have carried out his terrorism in the north, nothing will happen to him. He will simply kill people and go scot free. The Northern leaders will simply turn a blind eye.
