Going by the Report, the Salvaged Title was decalred in 2006 after which the Owner still accumulated an extra 1,300 miles, before vehicle was exported to Nigeria in 2007.

The Use of a Carfax Report does not make much Sense for a Car that has been used in Nigeria for over 2 Years.

Any Prospective Buyer should conduct an Independent Physical Inspection as that is the best guide against buying a bad vehicle.

The Market Value of a Keyless Ignition, Leather Seats 2007 Toyota camry is 3.9 million Naira.

If the Car Passes an Independent Inspection, then the carfax report can be neglected

this VIN declaration is helping buyers from having many Mechanic phone numbers.

perhaps, if i had done a VIN check before buying current car, i shant be having phone numbers of mechanics and specialist for
breaks, gearbox, radiator experts,a/c repairers, rewire, and ball joint experts etc etc

I'm pretty sure he meant keyless entry, not keyless ignition. AFAIK, keyless ignition is only an option on the XLE, not the LE model he's selling.

The issue here was not about VIN declaration at all, as far as the recent rules still stands Naija used cars do not have to supply VIN numbers, but the OP 1forall provided this, and people started jumping on his throat that he was trying to sell a salvaged car as if he tried to hide this in the first place And like Inspired_m pointed out, the car was fixed and certified safe to go back on the road in the US and did a further 1,300 miles before being exported to Nigeria, so why the brouhaha

1forall put up a salvaged car that was certified safe to go back on the road in the US prior to it being shipped to Naija and people are clamouring for him to be strung up and burnt at the stake


Whereas on the other hand, there is this chap selling salvaged cars on Nairaland whom Fhemmy aproached with a valid question asking if the cars would be certified safe to go back on the road in US before shipping to Nigeria and the response given was an emphatic NO. And the general consensus from the hyprocrites that abounds this section of Nairaland was "this OP was honest and transparent and open and all those bullcock"    


Here's Seun's take on the VIN issue, exempting Nigerian used cars from supplying VIN number. 1forall even provided the VIN so why are they baying for his blood

If you notice a "US" or "Canadian" spec car without a VIN,
keep harassing the seller until he/shecomplies with the strong recommendation.
