I happened to be in a room where there was prayer going on. One of the Pastors came to me to deliver me. He started rubbing my eyes vigorously and was chanting, FEEL IT ,THE PEPPER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT and believe me it was really painful that I did not know when I blurted out DO YOU WANT TO BLIND ME? He looked at me and the others and said this one needs a special payer section. I looked at him and hissed and left the room before they will blind me.

I feel ur pain man. I also had an experience like that some years ago, not long after then i quit the church. How man go open him eye dey see hypocrisy then he go call am serving the living God? As for me i no fit so i migrated from the Church to a more decent one.

This Particular Pastor was invited to my church for deliverance session. After praying for all the members and we the choir members busily singing there is power mighty in the blood of Jesus Christ, he asked us the choiristeers to come to the front to feel the power of the Holy Ghost and alot of them were busy falling like pack of cards, when it got to my turn my dear, (if only "my guy" (the Pastor) knew i was from Warri and i have experience in such things the guy for no try play rough play that day) so the man placed both hands on my head, can you imagine? BOTH HANDS! and started chanting choruses, wetin concern me, i was busy looking at his face hoping to the Holy Spirit with my koro-koro eye but my guy was just busy chanting his choruses.

At a stage, the man stoped looked, at me and vibrated' in the process pouring me showers of blessing from his mouth. Wetin man go do? I mantain and i was like my guy na heree we go tey put, in fact both of us go old here til Jesus come.

But,

My guy gave up and told my Pastor i have a very strong familiar spirit and he should monitor me closely.

Tell me. If that is true, IS THERE ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR THE LORD? ABI FAMILIAR SPIRIT DON PASS GOD OWN. After all Jesus casted about seven different demons from Mary's body. So if what these pastors are saying is true, then what stop them from casting the demons out?

Pls beware of fake pastors they will only end up casting dirty demons on you instead.

Last year I was invited to a special church service by a married female friend,her husband lives in Nigeria,my friend though we were not official lovers were bedmates.So this sunday morning we got to church after a night of good nacking,before you can say "abacha"my friend was speaking in tongues and delivering members of the church,she is one the prayer warriors in the church,The amazing thing was she would blow hot air in the face of a member and the person would actually fall to the ground,twisting and turning shouting holy ghost fire.

I didn't say anything to her after church because man need get some a$$ later.winter was around the corner,

Nice to know you the better here. Really the message in the church has been diluted overtime. It is time the church wakes up to the reality that the Kingdom of God is at hand. We should start focusing on the message that the coming of Christ is anytime, and we need to be alert, rather than the socalled pastors looking for means to enrich their pockets and swindle people off!

I suppose you are one of those "Raking Pastors"!!!! I personally think that this "Raking" is unique to Nigerians churches as its a way of showcasing the powers of the church or the pastor.
While I accept that individuals have the right to worship the way they want,my only problem is in a chaotic society like Nigeria this pushing and shoving this is used to brainwash people that they are all possessed by non existant evil spirits,thereby making the delivered person a "slave" of the church,a Tithe Paying Slave.

I have seen on TV when the child trafficker Gilbert Deya wave his hand and a room full of people fall over themselves all shaking from the exit of evil spirits,my logic is this,these people go to Crusade after Crusade and everytime some pastor would wave,shout,punch and beat evil spirits from them are these new spirits or old ones that refuse to go after many exorcism?

o come off it. You just have to tell him straight in face that he is a fake, the spirit of God does not work like that and then you find your way out and look for a bible believing church.

It's so good to be smart.You did the right thing by wanting to know,not criticizing like the others.

Now,I am not a Pastor but I am a minister of the Gospel.I am a christian who knows the word and when I find a subject I do not understand I ask questions and study  along that line in order to get more information.

When you say someone is a man of God,what it means is that he is God's representative,mouthpiece and Ambassador.So when the man of God stands ministering,you never know what God is telling him at that time.So you find him doing things that may appear abnormal.The best thing to do is be smart  and don't jump up criticizing.The Spirit of God cannot be restricted,so He can move any of His men,the way He chooses.So,when it comes to spiritual things,you cannot expalin it with your senses.
For instance,I remember laying hands on my younger brother to receive the Holy Spirit.He got born again before me but he got influenced by critics who said tongues was of the devil.
But by the time I laid hands on him,he received the Holy Spirit and started speaking uncontrollably in tongues.When my mum came in she asked what I had done to her son.

I have read about a man of God who tossed a dead person to the wall and the dead rose up.So is the former dead person going to ask why he was tossed to the wall.Or would  the relatives get mad at the man of God  for tossing their own to the wall?The truth is that you never know what the Lord told him to do.I believe the Lord moved him to do what he did.And the result was the dead rose.The same man of God had punched a cancer patient in the tommy or something like that and the fellow died.He raised the person from the dead healed.What what are  we talking about?

Let the men of God do what the are led to do.However,if you are suspicious,it is better to keep it to yourself.Do not criticize.Like I said before,to God they fall or  stand.So God be the one to judge them.All we owe them is our prayers.

Though, i see sense in ur comments, on this thread. But if i may ask, Where in the bible did Jesus Christ, or any other Apostle, who performed miracles in the bible did things, like raking e.t.c?

I really cant figure it out. But i think The spirit of God is calm and not the Raking type. I dont think this men of God who rake, do it as a result of Direction from the HolySprit. IT is now a normal thing in churches these days. they must rake, they must Push with force.

I think we all just have to be carefull.

Also Gospelman, The issue of the holy sprit, u. u are not a marketer of the holy spirit. Having the Holysprit in ones life, is as a result of self denial from Sin, williness and real sincerity with God.
