Hello Architects,

This week, we're featuring an Architect as the "Professional of The Week". It was yet another enlightening interview and I encourage every professional or budding professional out there to read on.

1. Why did you choose Architecture as your profession?

I've always been a creative person. I developed a keen interest in drawing from an early age and learnt by drawing what I saw on comic books. Following my secondary school education, choosing architecture was the logical step to follow for me as I had the choice between that and being an artist.

Please continue reading all 8 interview questions using this link http://thekrine..com/2012/01/professional-of-week-architect.html

Please send the link to your friends too, especially students.

Cheers

Hello Peeps! Nice thread.

I studied Building at Unizik, graduated in 2009, currently working as an Asst. Project Manager with PM firm in Lagos. Shuttle between Lagos & PH for projects. Working on my PMI cert & thinking of going for my MSc. in Construction Project Management with a research interest in Construction Informatics like the Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Interoperablity (I actually brushed on this during my undergrad thesis).

Anybody with useful info on BIM adoption in Africa and other developing economies? I know South Africa is adopting it but its still on a low key, how about Construction firms in Naija? Have you started using BIM in your projects?

Cheers!
