The Gov of Imo state, Ikedi Ohakim recently went on air advertising 10,000 new jobs to be given to job seekers as a way of relieving them of economic hardship. The long and short story of the advert is that evry applicant must buy a scratch of N2,000 from listed designated bank to complete the application process online. www.imo.ngrecruit.com KPMG as the consultant. The question is; Does Ohakin need to collect N2,000 from evry applicant for a job not guaranteed? Assuming 10,000 jobs are truely available and 1m apllicants pay for the scratch card, what wld the govt do with the excess money ripped off from the job seekers. What is the business of KPMG in the affairs of imo state govt? so many questions i would want Ohakim to answer. Someboby on another thread was asking why the continued bashing of Ohakim, but Ohakim has gone to prove that he is nothing but a common criminal, a fraud and a political opportunist. Trying to rip off innocent applicants. Where did he get the 10,000 jobs he is promising? Political gimmicks! And i pray pple will not fall for it. He thinks mentioning KPMG will make it sound credible, well we now know his associate is this fraud. KPMG will get part of the loot. Ohakin is known for 419, and he want to do that to the good people of imo state. Shame on him. I wish no applicant will buy his scratch card. |

This is pathetic! The government asking you to pay 2000 bucks before you can even be considered an applicant for a job is simply fraudulent. What exactly are applicants paying for? The funny thing is this guy will get away with such disgraceful scam! |

I saw the advert too, i was like 10,000 jobs  emerging from where, buy a scratch card of N2000 a whole federal govt trying to rip off desperate graduate |

otukpo: I knew that this Ohakim of a fellow must have some serious character flaws. He is openly trying to scam unemployed people of Imo state, and thinks no one will notice. What breaks my heart mostly is how this man often sweet-talk his way into the hearts of unsuspecting people. Stop listening to Ohakim, just watch his actions, all his actions are marked by fraud and moral decadence. He is all talk and no credible action. I hope Imo state citizens wake up to this man's antics and throw him out of office next year. We need a credible man at the helms in Imo. |

You must bribe the recruitment officials to get hired. Talking about the fellow I didn't know he was also a fraud. as long as he is a pdp gov and is loyal to obasanjo and the pdp gangs, he is not committing any crime. i was filling one for my younger sister online. wonders shall never end. ppl as in boys and girl do everything possible to pass through the hardships of nigerian universities move to one remote area in the name of youth service with high risk of loosing one's life and at the end of the day, asked to pay N2000 to buy scracth job card. story has it that in owerri, business centers collect N1000 for the filling of the forms. are there any possibilities that this N2000 will solve those problems abuja allocations could not solve? what happens to these desperate graduates if their hopes of getting jobs go like the other promises of our politicians? |

Dis Guy: U are seeing 114 and that is if that 114 ir real. The most annoying thing is that i heard that some pple are already buying the scratch card. Where is he getting the jobs to give the applicants? Has Ohakin built any industry since he came in as governor? All his achievements are only on the pages of newspaper. I was in the state less than a week ago, and i can tell u Ohakin is doing nothing , only mounting bill boards and sponsoring adverts on the pages of newspaper. |

chidichris: Ohakim is just a media person. He thinks giving hope of 10,000 jobs will endear him to Imo pple. He wants to play smart on Imo pple, u can imagine if 100,000 applicants buy the card, how much that will be. |

The same thing happened in Abia state more than 2 yrs ago.The government sold employment forms to more than 15,000 applicants at N1000 per form.Uptil 2day they havent employed even 1 person from dat number instead the governor has been secretly employing his kinsmen.I bet u Ohakim is going to do the same thing.These governors should be prosecuted. |

This is quite unfortunate and shows the level of degradation Nigerian politicians will go to, in ripping off unsuspecting masses of both the common wealth of the nation as well as their hard earned money by cleverly disguised scams. But truth must be told that this kind of scam has been with us for long, anybody who had participated in any of the recruitment exercises of the Military- Navy, Army, Airforce ( which by the way is becoming a yearly event) will testify that it is nothing but a scam meant to raise illegitimate money for the military (God have mercy, no honour even among the military!) as only a tiny minority are shortlisted from the teeming numbers who bought their scratch cards and majority of those shortlisted neither bought the scratch card nor sit for any exams but are hand picked by the senior members of the military. I weep for this nation 10,000 jobs ko, 10,000 mugu ni! |
