Christ Embassy Pastor, Chris Oyakhilome In $35million Money Laundering Scam by loverob: 6:55am On Nov 27, 2010
Any moment from now, flamboyant miracle fixing pastor of Christ Embassy Church located in Oregun, Ikeja area of Lagos state, Chris Oyakhilome will be a guest of Nigeria’s anti-graft police, EFCC for using his church to launder funds which source could not be accounted for into foreign bank accounts. The illicit funds so far traced by security agents stand at over $35 million.

The latest scandal may once again bring the controversial miracle-worker pastor under public scrutiny after government suspended the broadcast of his suspicious healing programme tagged “atmosphere for miracles” on public television stations some years ago.

iReports-ng can authoritatively report that a document on the money laundering activities of the architect turned pastor was first passed to the Nigeria police force headquarters in Abuja, last year. After finding it difficult to unravel the fraud, the police forwarded the matter to the EFCC which has the expertise and powers to successfully prosecute the pastor.

According to a source at the force headquarters in Abuja, the case was sent to the EFCC and received there September 24th 2009. Another source in the EFCC also confirmed that attempts were made by some of the controversial pastor’s agents in the commission to “kill” the petition due to the electronic system of monitoring cases already put in place in the agency, called “gocase” by the United Nations Office On Drug and Crime, UNODC.

A reliable source in the agency told iReports-ng a few hours ago that ” after the initial hiccup, substantial progress has now been made on the case even though quietly and the coast now clear to invite the pastor to make some statements on his involvement in cash transfer of such huge amount of United States currency”

Apart from this discovery of money laundering activity by the pastor, a couple of his church officials and members have also of recent featured in some major fraud issues. Not quite long a time, one of his pastors in Ogba area of Lagos was said to have stolen some millions of naira from the sheraton hotels ikeja where he worked as a manager before he was sacked when the fraud was discovered. He claimed in his statement to the police then that he donated the stolen money to Oyakhilome’s Christ embassy church to buy power generating sets and other church needs.

Also of recent, a young member of the church in Benin city, Edo state was arrested and prosecuted by the EFCC for engaging in internet marriage scam through which he defrauded a white lady. In his statement before he was convicted, he was said to have also confessed that he donated the bulk of the scam money to Oyakhilome’s church where he belongs as a strong member.

Before the discovery of the pastor’s money laundering activity, Oyakhilome had been enmeshed in other major scandals such as immoral sexual engagements with church members, fighting other religious leaders, use of diabolic powers and faking miracles.

In 2008, south africa media were awash with stories of fake miracles stage managed by the pastor in a bid to woo worshipers to join his church.

@poster, u are stupid for all these fake news in an attempt to bring down the man of God. And for your information, pastor Chris is worth hundreds of millions of dollars both in cash and asset. $35m is just too small to hold against him. And what is your so called EFCC still waiting for?

It is said that If you want to sell a news paper, just create  any story about oyakhilome. Any story at all, and you'll smile to the bank. grin .  Pastor chris is an honourable man. He won't indulge in a crime such as money laundry. His ministry is too important in this generation to engage in such. We will soon see that it's a false alarm by one of the devils sons.

Oh! what a pity.AGENTS of the devil at it again. You know them by their posts- they don't know how to write any topic unless it is about men of GOD, how to paint the image of MOG black. See how they have reacted over a post by one ayodel in Naija pals forum. If they are not agents of the devil, how could they be quick to concould  that the information is true . Who is Ayodel who originated the story?. If he is not fake, a fraudstar, and agent of the devil , why is his picture not in naijapals forum as others. Secondly where did he get the information?. He failed to disclose his source of information.

There is no need for us to fight over this, or continue to pass negative comment against the great man of GOD Chris. The question that need to be answered is whether anyone has proved that allegation to be true?. What if the allegation originated from the pit of hell, aimed at discrediting the MOG?. Yes AGENTS of the devil are known for their false propaganda against anointed MOG. One thing is sure, when we point one finger against someone, three fingers are pointing at us. Be sure of this, every one us must be judged by our actions and utterances especially against MOG falsely.

^^^ What makes a "Man of God"?

Oyakhilome is not an Igbo man, he might have lived there but he certainly is an Edo man from Ewu, his uncle or cousin is the ex AIG Fidelis Oyakhilome (back to land ex governor of Rivers state)

I think folks need to wait for the facts before making comments though we all know that "if t quacks like a duck, it most certainly is a duck" cheesy

That aside oyaks and his church have little or no credibility and stories of confirmed fraudulent practises abound in his church. So when we hear news like this we know is likely to be true. Such filthy practises is in their nature in CE.

@Kunle, I understand your point hence my "if it quacks like a duck, it most certainly is a duck" comment. One has to really look very very well these days before casting their lot with a particular place of fellowship/worship because MOST of them are in it for the money. What has a Christian Church got to do with financing a bank, having ATM machines/restaurants in a place of worship?

Most people forget Jesus telling his followers to be "wise as serpents and gentle as doves"

God help us all.

YOU MUST PART WITH SOMETHING
Monday, November 29, 2010

MEMORIZE: “He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live” (Prov.15:27)

READ: Prov. 15:25-27

Proverb:15:25: The LORD will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the border of the widow.

Proverb:15:26: The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.

Proverb:15:27: He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live.

A price must be paid to enter into your unlimited greatness. You must be prepared to part with what you have in exchange for what you need. Why many who are asking for certain blessings cannot have them yet is because they are not prepared to pay the price. The widow of 2 Kings 4:1-8 parted with her only bottle of oil before she could enter into her financial harvest.

She also parted with her human reasoning and accepted God’s mathematics even when she could not understand it. She completely relied on the Lord. Have you parted with those things you are holding so dearly to? As long as you cling to that only ‘bottle of oil’, and your human calculations, you may never access your desired breakthrough.

A certain poor widow who catered for 17 people attended one of our meetings one day and the Lord said that someone was about to receive three breakthroughs: The first one was entirely for God; the second would be shared 50/50 between the recipient and God, while the third would be for the recipient. On receiving what she believed was the first breakthrough, this widow came to me and handed over the money saying that she was the one the Lord spoke about in the meeting.

A bit scared, especially considering her enormous responsibility as a result of the death of her husband, I told her she was not the one the Lord spoke about and that she needed all she could get to enable her cater for her large family. But she insisted saying if I did not receive that one, I would hinder her from the second and third. Eventually I received the money and encouraged her faith. Not long after, she got both the second and third breakthroughs according to the word of the Lord and her faith. She became a director of one of the biggest banks in Nigeria. You have to part with something.

Be prepared to make a sacrifice. What hinders many is greed. People do not only manifest greed towards fellow men but also towards God. For instance, it is sheer greed for a believer not to be able to pay his or her tithe. God provides you an income and says ‘Bring a tenth for me to sustain or renew your blessing while you keep the rest’, yet many because of greed and tight-fistedness refuse and at the end scatter their blessing. Part with that thing and enter into your next level of greatness!

ACTION POINT:
When God speaks and you keep refusing to obey, a time comes when you would no longer be sensitive to His voice and He will no longer speak to you. Obey His voice today!

church work na the best kind of work grin grin grin

you go chris
