X-factoria: What kind of comparison are you making ? We are talking about an election in 3 days time , where did you get the notion that the cause is lost. Why will you give up in an election where everyone knows you have a chance of winning, an election 65% at least of northern votes will go to you. It is called principles buddie, we see integrity in Buhari and Bakare and we will vote for them Elections is not a do or die affair, if we lose we lose this is politcs. This i have to win mentality is what is killing our politics, if there was no opposition Nigeria would have been a 1 party state. |
Re: Buhari Is A Goner by 10cirenoh: 5:33pm On Apr 13, 2011 |
@andromida Yes, because you have refused to make use of your brain, coming out to say the northern CABAL are now supporting Buhari without reading and making your own research? why won't i ask you to get a brain? go and get a paper mr man and stop peddling lies you got from some disgruntled elements in the press that got 200k plus a galaxy Samsung phone |

I recall justcash tossing GEJ under the bus and hopping on the BB train. We GEJ supporters didn't offer a single word of abuse, instead we tried to persuade him back. Today, we are choffed that he is back. What is it with BB people that they are so aggressive and quick to insult? Reminds me of sharia. |
Re: Buhari Is A Goner by Lagosboy: 5:40pm On Apr 13, 2011 |
Beaf: Please in the name of God dont let us go down relgious intolerance. What has sharia got to do with this. Why do you have to insult the senesitivities of millions of muslims. You have a right to support GEJ but not bashing the religon of another candidate. As far as i know I have not thrown one insult at knowall and i never insult anyone here on NL. You could prove me wrong if you can. |

Lagosboy: Its the stoning culture, a grown man tells you his mind is shifting and you pick up stones to throw at him. |
Re: Buhari Is A Goner by Lagosboy: 5:47pm On Apr 13, 2011 |
Beaf: Please be matured enough to know the fine line between poltical differences and insulting another religion. I will not waste my time schooling you but I want to still believe you have a conscience to tell you , your statements are bigoted and needless. |
Re: Buhari Is A Goner by Beaf: 6:07pm On Apr 13, 2011 |
^ I altered the post you referred to. Lagosboy: What is the difference in your attitude toward Knowall and religious extremist behaviour? Why the inquisition and crusade against Knowall? |
Re: Buhari Is A Goner by PapaBrowne(m): 6:09pm On Apr 13, 2011 |
See them (BB fans) insulting Knowall because he has seen the light!! What kind of intolerance is this This is bad mehn!! We need to learn to be tolerant no matter what views others have!! The same religious vigour that sees terrorists bombing innocent citizens is the same kind of intolerance that is been visited on those that choose to take a stand in line with their conscience. This is not a religion that says if you convert, you should be killed. This is an election please and people should be free to switch sides!! @Knowall You are one man I respect!! You views right and your knowledge is tight!! |

Lagosboy: Not you. You'be been one good BB fan at least of recent. Other good ones are Kilode, Jarus and Zeeleso. The rest are just intolerant folks insulting everybody that is not with BB. Please help me give them this message: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=645807.msg8117975#msg8117975 Thanks! |

I believe JEG deserve more than d 10 months unfortunately allocated to him by d man upstairs. We have seen men spend 8 years, 10 years and 2.5 years as Head of State / President and yet simple mundane things like our railway working did not happen in their watch. This man has spent 10 months the rolling stocks have started moving, d port of Onitsha is ready for business, let us give this man more chance at least 4 years more. I can't wait to see more things happen, when Jo-boy came to London so many moons ago, at d time he was deputy Governor for his wife IVF treatments one of my friend that was doing a job for him said, he said of all d things in d world Jonathan asked my friend where he could get a good hat from. The guy was shocked he said " oga" if u go to Oxford street there are many shops selling good quality hats but he wanted my friend to source it out for him. Jonathan is humble to a fault but a good man he deserve our votes but if Buhari wins no hard feelings. |

What does Buhari do for a living?- Buhari is a professional election runner. I look forward to seeing him in 2015 This is sarcastic-ism at best, where are you people's sense of humour. Just like the poster of the initial thread asked a rather worrying and inquisitive question which millions of Nigerians would have pondered over, how come a man who is honest and never done a day's job since 1999 can manage to stay afloat in one of the best suites in Abuja on a regular basis, giving the populace the wrong façade and impression about himself, wallowing in self pity insisting albeit not blatantly that he is too poor to build a house in the FCT, yet on the contrary manages to stay frequently in one of the best suite in one of the most expensive hotel rooms in the world the " Nicon Noga Hilton Hotel Abuja"( it is no more news to know Nigerian 5* rooms are one of the most expensive in the world). This kind of questions are geniue questions that requires answers. |

KnowAll:A former head of state's Pension is not light change. He says his main busines is cattle rearing. Buhari may have enough to not be poor but nowhere near the IBB's and Obj's of the world. If he has this money you think he has, his campaign wouldnt be nearly media-invincible. osapay:See this attitude right there is what beats me. Contrary to what the PDP doctrine teaches, this election is not do or die. Many PDP supporters know like we do the stakes the PDP stands to lose if GEJ fails. They spend millions daily on ads for Jonathan and smear campaigns for Buhari and Ribadu both on newspapers and websites. 16 pages for GEJ in just one paper yesterday, then the additional ones insulting Buhari. Then the numerous adverts on the TV. This is money speaking. Money The people spitting out see as an investment. An investment which they not only hope to profit from but are willing to go to extremes to not lose. PDP folding their arms and leaving the election to chance is wishful thinking. They campaign this vigorously so just in case the rigging isn't totally successful, hopefully they'll touch the minds of Nigerians with the act and may just garner enough votes. Most PDP supporters are quite confident there is a backup plan that ensures GEJ wins no matter what.If this election is free and fair in the 36 states of NIgeria, its almost certain its going to be a runoff. Only this morning news came in on how money has been distributed to powers that be in Kaduna to secure the state for PDP. It is not do or die for Buhari. He might feel sad for the first few days but life goes on. But I shudder to think what will happen if GEJ loses. |

zeeleso: Nothing will happen if GEJ loses. The thieves who are looting the country are not that many, just a few thousand at best. They are only powerful because we've been allowing them to rig every 4 years. Once they are out of power, some will try and join CPC to corrupt the new president, but the majority will never be heard from again. Even in Bayelsa, nobody will complain if GEJ loses. Just like Yorubas and Obasanjo, his people know him better than anybody else. They knew him when him and Alamco were robbing the state blind. GEJ is like all these miracle pastors we see on TV. Deep down, we all know he's a fraud but some people want to believe so badly that they are willing to turn off their brains. If you go to the church of PDP you'll return home poorer while pastor Goodluck buys another new private jet. |

In 3 days time, it will be all over. Mr. President will surely continue in office. Southerns in the North, be vigilant. There are likely to be more bombs after Buhari is declared the looser. |
Re: Buhari Is A Goner by 10cirenoh: 7:37pm On Apr 14, 2011 |
Desperate: Arising from or marked by despair or loss of hope. The above is the definition of desperate. I usually wonder, when people are saying that, Buhari is desperate, in regards to his Presidential aspirations. When Atiku was running against Jonathan, people said he was desperate but, since he lost to Jonathan in that Kangaroo primaries, we now understand who actually was desperate. It was never Atiku, but, Jonthan, that was desperate. Coming to the matter at hand, Buhari for all I care can never be said to be desperate. Reasons be that, he is comfortable with his Military Pension. If so, why is he contesting then? Simple. The level of decay and rut in the system is his primary reason for coming to contest. Remember the adage that says: Evil strive when good men keep quiet. The situation of things in Nigeria today calls for a radical change. We cannot keep pretending that all is well. All is not well at all. So, don't let anyone deceive you with their FAKE smile that, it is well. Again, Buhari cannot be said to be desperate because, he has never shown any trait of desperation in his entire life. If you doubt me, how do you explain of a former Head of State, without a single plot of land in Abuja, no oil block nor being a thriving government contractor? His seeking the presidential office is simply service to his father land. Please, never you mistake this for desperation, as he is not in government nor wanting to retain it by all means possible. As for Jonathan, he is bound to be desperate because, the man up need to fear of falling. Having said that, his desperation is traceable to 2010, when he bluntly refused the advice of his Presidential Advisory Council PAC, not to seek for the presidential position in the 2011 presidential election. This is the committee he set up to advised him on National issues and yet, he never heed their advice. What can you say of this? Again, Jonathan is bound to be desperate because, should he lose this election, he has many things to lose. As a man whose occupation now is politics, how can he align himself with the ordinary people, maybe to seek for professorial appointment from the Universities, after serving as Commander in Chief Of The Arm Forces? He can never do it hence, his desperate move to buy all the buyable with Nigeria's tax payers money. Jonathan has course to be desperate because, he does not want to be seen as a weakling during this presidential elections. This is the more reasons you see the manoeuvrings here and there. For you people saying that, Jonathan has conducted a free and fair election, in regards to last Saturday NASS elections, may I tell you that, the President State of Bayelsa, recorded the highest number of stolen boxes. Do you still call it free and fair? No. In fact, from Bayelsa to Sokoto, Jonathan waste Nigeria's money to bribe the Police, SSS, Returning Officers, Media Editors, opposition political parties and the common voters. Don't let me hear you ever say that, the elections were free and fair. Even the primary election that produced him was a buy over. If not, how do you explain the reason behind the locking up of delegates from the reach of Atiku in Abuja, before the primary elections? Nigerians, open your eyes and shine it well. Do not allow the pretentious humble looking of Jonathan to deceive and mislead you into oblivion. The future of your children should be of great concern to you. Before you cast your vote on Saturday, think deeply, if this is the Nigeria of your dream. PDP is a CANCER that must not be allow to grow further, into our National life. God bless Nigeria.
