No 2, some very few muslims (mostly in the Muslim Council of Britain) is not strong enough to mitigate the magnitude of the atrocities being frequently committed in UK and globally. We need to see more major muslim outcry.

Muslims coming out enmass on the streets in outrage when someone draws Mohammed in Denmark but are no where to be found when someone takes a Xtian 65 year old grandfather and videos himself slicing his throat shouting "Allahu Akbar" is mooronic and does not help the image of Islam as a "religion of peace".

When muslims start coming out in outrage ENMASS for things like the latter, then you will see the reduction in demonisation of the religion. Worse still when things similar to the latter happens more frequently than the former.

Majority of muslims are not doing enough and ARE not interested enough in condemning those that they claim wrongly interpret the religion. First things first, I'm a Muslim and I've no apology for that. I also advise non-muslims to constantly review their faith and beliefs before this temporary life comes to an end.

Re: the story,
It is rather unfortunate what has happened.

Islam has made its law clear (without fear or fervor) - whoever is guilty of fornication (i.e an unmarried man or woman) is to be flogged publicly (100 lashes) while anyone guilty of adultery (i.e. a married man or woman) is to be stoned to death. Now these rulings have conditions.
1. That 4 witnesses caught them in the act (e.g. the fact that you see them both naked going into a room has been declared not evidence enough, you need to see the penis in the vagina performing the act). Now for 4 people to witness this, it goes to show the extent of open lewdness that the adulterers/fornicators must have displayed.
2. That the perpetrators confess to the act and they are judged to be in their sane minds and under no coercion.
3. Evidence of pregnancy (especially for an unmarried woman).

Back to the post -
What the lady has committed is obviously not adultery as defined above and so does not warrant that punishment.
Yes, displaying her body nudely/semi nudely is a disgraceful and wrong act and she should have been advised as such and counseled.
The boys are clearly wrong as the ruling were not applied under the appropriate conditions (those mentioned above and more).
May Allah forgive the girl (if she died a Muslim) and guide the hearts of the boys to the truth.

No 1, Christians don't use religion as a justification tool to molest children or believe their religion guides them to do it.

No 2, Xtians have been very vocal in condemning homosexuality.

You can't compare that to fundamentalists blatantly stating and believing that they are killing as "guided by their religion". Moreso, Islam also does not specify an age for child marriages and we see several child marriages in the community. These 2 would not be associated with the religion if the muslims are shouting enough themselves against it rather than keeping quiet so as not to offend fellow muslims.
