Those of you busy spreading false news should know that you aid in ruining the chance this country has for real change. Instead of constantly creating threads with conflicting reports. . . .most of them UNSUBSTANTIATED rumours. Rather than allow yourselves used to derail the efforts of the people, why not stay your hands until we get real reports on changes occurring, or not occurring.
Not a rumour but confirmed news.

All the N65 or nothing people are just wasting their time. This is a final, I repeat FINAL decision by Government. I will suggest anyone who protest this infact to be arrested.
You will be the first person to be arrested in your home framed with trumped up charges of robbery and murder.

I will advise the good people to avoid Ojota.
NLC suspended their strike because of serious concerns bordering on treason. Be wise.

Na you advise them to go there in the first place? You never believed in what they were doing in Ojota, so forget matter. Talk about the new price abeg.

They have not got enough security to cover the nation o. Is that Ojota Park the only place? Or will they put curfew stop people coming out?

Ojota park has being symbolic to the Occupy Nigeria Carnival Jamboree protests . . . any other venue won't have the feel that park has generated in recent days  grin  . . .That said. Go to the Carnival ground tomorrow for more fanfare  . .or try stopping people from going about their normal business and see what goodies it might bring . . .

The focus is now on areas that has generated the most noise . .and the Ojota Carnival Park should place first, hence attracting severe security measures . . . Breakdown of law and order might result to curfew . . .No two ways about it  . . .

I repeat thread with caution . .holding your rally in enclosed streets with low police proximity might just do the trick . .but do not allow a neighbor send an alarm . . .

According to Channel TV, Labor did not suspend strike but instead will embark on stay at home strike citing some security concern. Strike continuous  in the morning.

Really? Cause that happens to be the same ChannelsTV I have been listening to all evening myself and I heard no such. The Channel has been repeating the same lines it had during it's political show earlier in the evening, before any meeting was even confirmed with Labor. Matter of fact, till the 10pm news, there was no confirmation on an actual meet with Labor, by the President, this evening.

Labour can only call off strike, they can't stop protests. Jona say N97, we say no we want N65.

This just proves that the removal of subsidy was all about freeing more money for the greedy scumfucks in government to steal. Reducing the price to N97 means that we are subsidizing again. That means all of Sanusi and Okonjo-Iweala's arguments about new refineries and the economy are now moot.

If they really believed that removing subsidy was in the nation's long-term interest, they would have stood their ground. Now their are neither here nor there. We get all the so-called disadvantages of subsidy, as well as the inflation that a fuel price hike brings.

In any case, it doesn't matter because we are still on strike. When they are ready to do something about coruption and slash their recurrent budget by a reasonable amount, then we'll listen to them.

For NLC to make this kind of agreement only confirms that they never represented the protesters accurately.

Ignore government agents. The protests continue tomorrow at Ojota, Labour never cancelled any protests and besides they don't have the power to do so.

Are you sure? I was foolishly watching NTA all afternoon waiting for GEJ to show face and even they said he was in talks with Labour.

There is no confirmed report that NLC actually met with the President this evening. As at the time the 10pm evening news was on  air, reports where that the President was meeting with some Governors still.

Not sure Labour was ever in charge of the Ojota rally. If the conveners chicken out, so be it. There is really no concrete sacrifice from government and its thieving officials.

I was watching ChannelsTV all evening, and their man who called in live from Abuja, according to what I saw and heard, never confirmed that Labor actually sat in a meeting with Jonathan this evening. At one point, after his first meeting with Governors and ministers, the reporter said the President had gone in to record the speech for the broadcast. Then less than an hour later, at some minutes past 12, we were told that he was back in meeting with SOME Governors.

Channels Tv spoke to the labour leader on camera after the meeting and was aired some moments ago. The labour leader look subdued and unconvincing when announcing the suspension of street protests.
