The rate at which young ladies are becoming prostitutes openly in Asaba, Delta State, is become a serious cause for concern to many residents, who are condemning the open show of shame.
One of the residents, Comrade Emeka Okonta expressed concern on the high rate of the menace, especially with young girls being very active in the dirty acts.
Even teenage girls believed to be in secondary school, during nightfall are seen in strategic places clad in skimpy dresses that barely cover them, seeking to sleep with men for money.

Some residents who spoke to Leadership, however advised women/ladies involved in the act to have a rethink, considering the health, religious implications of prostitution and called on security agents to take appropriate steps to curb the menace.
It was revealed that during nightfall, these ladies, young and old, lurk around Texas plaza, Asaba township stadium along Nnebisi road, Summit Junction and Cable Point looking for patrons, and out of desperation some of them even offer themselves to men, openly.

Delta state police commissioner, Zanna Ibrahim in a swift reaction, said the police will soon raid them and take them off the streets of Asaba, and advised parents in the state to teach their daughters morals.

Estonia is offering an e-residency programme that allows foreigners to base their business and finances in the country via an online application process that takes minutes to complete.
The scheme has boomed in popularity, and offers entrepreneurs the opportunity to remain within the EU’s legal framework, with the registration website claiming businesses can benefit from “minimal bureaucracy and clear tax framework”.

Unfortunately for those wondering whether signing up as an e-resident may be a route to an EU passport following the Brexit vote, successful applications do not mean foreigners will become citizens of Estonia.

Nonetheless, since the introduction of the system, Estonia has seen an additional 1,000 businesses based in the country in addition to the 60,000 that were already there.

According to the service, the UK’s referendum result boosted applications for e-residency in Estonia from businesses in the UK tenfold.

The Estonian government is supportive of the scheme which it sees as a means of bringing more money into the country’s small economy.

Estonia has a working population of just 650,000 and that figure is expected to fall dramatically in the coming years due to emigration and an aging population.

Speaking to the Guardian, Taavi Kotka, Estonia’s chief information officer and government lead on the project said: “Attracting immigrants is just not an option for us. People would rather choose Sweden or Norway.

“Physically, we’re not able to improve our population. So why not do it online?”

All you have to do to base your international business in Estonia is fill in a short form, scan your passport, upload a photograph of yourself, and explain why you want to become an e-resident.

Applications cost €100 (£84).

The application is then reviewed by the Estonian police, and as long as you have not been involved in any money laundering cases, you are likely to be accepted.

The website proudly states that in 2009, Estonia received a Guinness World Record for “fastest time to register a new legal entity”, with a winning time of just 18 minutes.

The corpse of David Kalu, an undergraduate of FUPRE (Federal University of Petroleum, Warri, Delta State) has been found with stab wounds.

A Hostel Manager at the University, William Odiete and two students, Abubakar Ogbebor and Waritoma Tega have been arrested.
The victim whose body was found on a Lagoon near the school had reportedly escaped death on two occasions.

Before he was stabbed to death, he had a quarrel with his roommate Kalu Joseph and the matter was reported to the hostel manager

Sources said the manager later led some other workers of the hostel, as well as Waritoma and Ogbebor to the victim’s room, forcibly broke into the room, dragged him out and began to flog him.

Ado Ekiti—In a bid to curb harassment of people of Ado-Ekiti by masquerades, the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe has placed a temporary

ban on the masquerade festival in the town. The ban, according to a reliable source was a fallout of the persistent harassment of people and barrage of complaints lodged at Ewi’s palace by those manhandled by adherents of the masquerade. The monarch also called on the Police to arrest any masquerade or masquerader seen in the town.
Adherents of a certain masquerade called ‘Paragogo’ being worshipped by Odogun family in Oke Iyinmi in Ado Ekiti, were said to have been arrested over the weekend, following alleged harassment of traders operating at Erekesan Market and other areas in the capital city. Information gathered that some of the masquerades and their followers, who normally go on rampage, brandishing long cudgels and charms, were in the habit of coercing the traders and passers-by to pay money or part with food items, failing which they would be flogged severely and inflicted bodily injuries on the victims .

Oba Adejugbe, in a paid advert aired on the state owned radio version of the Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State, BSES, told the Commissioner of Police, Mr Etop James, to carry out the order in the interest public orderliness in the capital city.

The monarch also warned chiefs against flouting the order, saying they would be held liable for any breach of public peace if any masquerade traceable to their quarters should defy the temporary ban.

A young boy has been arrested in Aboh area of Delta state in connection with the murder of a plantain hawker.The suspect identified as 18-year-old Chukwudi Ijeoma allegedly murdered one Ogamma Blessing few days ago.

The 27-year-old victim was reported missing by her hubby Felix Ogamma in Kwale area of Delta State after she refused to come home following a hawking trip to Aboh in Ndokwa East LGA of Delta State.

Nigeria’s military says some officers are selling arms and ammunition to Boko Haram, indicating the corruption bedeviling the country’s fight against the Islamic extremists continues despite government efforts to halt graft.

The admission comes three weeks after the Nigerian army said a military tribunal is trying 16 officers and troops accused of offenses related to the fight against Boko Haram, including the theft and sale of ammunition.
Maj. Gen. Lucky Irabor, the theater commander in northeastern Nigeria, told a news conference on Thursday that military authorities have confirmed that some soldiers were selling arms and ammunition to Boko Haram. He called it a betrayal of the Nigerian people. He gave no more details.

President Muhammadu Buhari has blamed corruption for the deaths of thousands in the seven-year Islamic uprising that has killed more than 20,000. Children who escaped Boko Haram are dying of starvation in refugee camps in the northeast, where the government is investigating the alleged theft of food aid.

A soldier on the frontline of the fight told The Associated Press that his brigade commander is among officers standing trial at the court-martial in this northeastern city, which is being held in secret. He said the army is investigating what happened to 21 anti-aircraft guns assigned this year to his artillery brigade. He said they only received one gun. The soldier spoke on condition of anonymity because he feared he would lose his job.

Researchers believe this finding may partially explain why the modern man remains so infatuated with the size of the backside of potential female partners.

Men’s love of women with big backsides is quite a hot topic. Now, a new study has presented yet another explanation for why many men prefer women with large, curvy butts.
The study found that evolution has preferred women with a spine curvature of 45 degrees because it allowed them to remain mobile throughout pregnancy without risk of injuring themselves.

The curve at the bottom of a woman’s spine allows her to significantly shift weight, and without this ability, pregnant women would face a serious disadvantage.

According to the study, without a spine curvature of this degree the pressure on a woman’s hips during pregnancy would increase by 800 percent. This would cause her to not only become largely immobile, but also put her at risk for sustaining serious injury.

Lead researcher Dr. David Lewis, says it’s believed that our male ancestors developed a sexual attraction to women with big butts because it increased their chances of having offspring which would live long enough to pass on their DNA. It’s not just ancient men who show a preference for women with this build, however.

The team, based out of Bilkent University in Turkey, asked 300 men to look at silhouettes of women with many different angles of spine curvature. Results showed that the majority of the men were significantly more attracted to silhouettes of women who had a spine curvature of 45.5 degrees, suggesting that this ancestral preference for spinal curvature has persisted.

Lewis believes that his findings may offer an explanation into modern man’s love of round female butts. “Men may be directing their attention to the backside and obtaining information about women’s spines, even if they are unaware that that is what their minds are doing,” the researcher explained, although this theory cannot be proven until future research is conducted.

This is not the first time science has attempted to find a reason for evolutionary preference of big-bottomed women.

A 2014 study found that women with larger waist-to-hip ratios had higher levels of the hormone needed to get pregnant, and therefore possessed increased chances of fertility. Another study found an association between large bottoms and intelligence, presenting evidence that women with a bigger difference between their hips and waist were not only more intelligent themselves, but also gave birth to more intelligent children.

Ultimately, human attraction is a complicated topic, and what appeals to some does nothing for others. However, when we find out the science behind our preferences, we can’t help but wonder if our “type” is really a personal choice or simply nature’s way of ensuring the advancement of mankind.

A notorious cultist has been arrested in Lagos over the murder of 80 innocent people.
The suspect identified as Oriyomi Balogun popularly called Small Jopron or J-Prompt has reportedly murdered over 80 residents of Lagos and Ogun state during supremacy battle between Eiye fraternity and Aiye cult group.

While claiming his innocence, the suspect denied killing over 80 people, he said he only murdered 2 persons.

His confessional statement reads:

“I am Small JP, I am the leader of Eiye Fraternity in Lagos. I have been wanted by the police, but, I am not as bad as they are painting me. The police said that I have killed many people. That is not true. I only killed two persons but, I am not regretting it because, we were at war. It was like a soldier killing his enemy.

“Eiye and Aiye are always fighting the battle of supremacy. It is either one of us offended another person from another group. Well, we fought with dangerous weapons, so, somebody must die. I have only killed two persons, but my men may have killed more. The police should not put all the killings on my head.

“What I want the police to know is that some of my members were also killed during confrontations. For the two persons that I killed, I had atoned for my sins because, I have gone to the prisons for the offence. I just think that I am being victimised because, I am not as bad as the police are claiming.”

Lagos Police CP Owoseni said Oriyomi is the most wanted cult leader in the state.

He has been declared wanted for armed robbery, kidnap and several murder cases.

His gang members usually operate in Shomolu, Bariga and other parts of Ogun State.

Olamide has revealed he will never dole out cash for any international collaboration because his mentor, the legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti didn’t pay to get recognised abroad.

For instance, Iranians have a heck of a time traveling to most countries, let alone becoming a resident or opening a bank account in one, all thanks to US sanctions against their home country.


When determining which second passport is best to pursue, there are several points to take into consideration. These include your current tax situation, where you need to travel, and even your job prospects.

For example, high-income US citizens, who are required to pay tax on their worldwide income even if they don’t live in the US, may want to speed up the process of obtaining another nationality in order to renounce US citizenship and avoid the ongoing hassles and expenses of paying tax to a country they don’t live in.

On the other hand, a European citizen who can more easily become “tax non-resident” and pay low or zero tax somewhere else, may be more willing to wait a little longer to obtain a better citizenship.

Similarly, someone from a country that forbids dual citizenship, but who wants a second residency that can lead to citizenship as an insurance policy, may be even less concerned with the timeline.

I have private clients from emerging countries who have had to turn down lucrative job offers merely because they can’t travel to certain countries or can’t obtain visas quickly enough to satisfy the new employer.

If being a citizen of a country with poor visa-free travel is costing you $50,000 a year, you have an even greater desire than many US citizens to find the fastest countries to become a citizen.

The fastest ways to become a citizen and get your second passport

Before we review a few specific countries, let’s discuss each of the fastest ways to obtain citizenship…

1. Citizenship by descent
If you have ancestors from Europe, you may be able to obtain a second passport very inexpensively. The process is called citizenship by descent and usually takes anywhere from six months — if you’re really lucky — to 1-2 years (seeing as most countries that offer it have substantial bureaucracy).

2. Make an investment
It goes without saying that if you have significant cash to invest, the passport process can be sped up. We won’t be discussing the process of citizenship by investment in this article, but you can read this article to learn about the fastest citizenship by investment programs in the world. Most decent economic citizenship programs can be found in either the Caribbean (Dominica starts at $100,000) or in Europe (Malta runs closer to $1 million).

3. Marry a foreign national
If you are lucky enough to fall in love with someone with a great passport, it’s possible you could be a naturalized citizen of their home country. Foreign spouses often qualify for a shortened waiting period for naturalization, although language requirements sometimes exist. Few countries still offer instant citizenship for foreign spouses, but there are still a few attractive options.

4. Receive special treatment
If you are an exceptional artistic or athletic talent, or if you invest enough money, some countries allow the President to waive naturalization requirements (including language requirements) and make anyone a citizen. Examples include Albania, Poland, and Singapore. This is the basis for Austria’s alleged economic citizenship program, but it is rarely used.

Now, let’s review citizenship options that don’t require a lucky genealogy line or a lot of cash. The following is a list of the countries where it is the easiest to become a citizen.

The fastest countries to become a citizen through residency
Back when I actively chased as many frequent flier miles as possible, I would sometimes take flights solely for the purpose of getting miles. More miles meant higher status with the airline. We called these “butt-in-seat miles” because you had to actually fly to get them.

Similarly, the fastest way to get a second passport for most people is to spend “butt-in-country time”. Becoming a resident of a foreign country and starting the clock ticking on naturalization is the easiest way to go if you don’t have the benefit of luck or substantial wealth.

Macedonia (1 year)
Macedonia offers the best of both worlds: the benefits of Europe and visa-free access to the Schengen Area, but none of the nonsense associated with being a part of the European Union. Located south of Serbia in the Balkans, Macedonia is one of the many business-friendly countries in eastern Europe. Tax rates for both companies and individuals are a flat 10%, and the government is efficient.

If you’re willing to start a business and hire local workers, you can become a Macedonian citizen after just one year. In fact, Macedonia has the least talked about economic citizenship program in the world, targeted specifically at entrepreneurs who can invest at least 400,000 euros for a minimum of three years.

Similar to Portugal’s Golden Visa program for entrepreneurs, Macedonia requires you to tie up your capital for three years, but gives you citizenship after one. There is no straightforward way to start the process unlike in other European countries, and you must live in Macedonia for six months of the first year, which will subject your worldwide income to their low income tax rates.

Dominican Republic (2 years)
Not to be confused with the island nation of Dominica (which allows for nearly instant citizenship in exchange for a six-figure donation), the Dominican Republic claims to offer second citizenship to foreigners with cash in as little as two years.

While the Dominican Republic passport is of rather poor quality, it does offer access to some highly livable “usual suspect countries” that let practically anyone in as a tourist.

One way to speed up the naturalization timeline is to invest $200,000 in real estate or a business; (Colombia similarly offers a faster citizenship route for investors with this amount of cash.) However, those who can prove they have a steady income and are willing to spend some time in the DR can waive the investment requirement.

Nevertheless, I know people who qualified for citizenship in the Dominican Republic in two years but have waited far longer to get it. So, as with any country, the letter of the law may not always prevail.

Paraguay (3 years)
One of the easiest countries to get citizenship in is Paraguay. The South American country is open to all peaceful people, although it is often harder for Middle Easterners or Africans to apply for residency there.

By depositing $5,200 in a Paraguayan bank account, foreigners can become a permanent resident of Paraguay and start the clocking ticking on naturalization and a Paraguayan passport. While many would be hard pressed to locate Paraguay on a map, the country has a rather good travel document that offers visa-free travel to Europe and all of South America.

After waiting three years, residents can apply to become a citizen, followed by a process which usually takes another year or so. Paraguay offers a lot of personal freedom and the fact that a lot of people have never heard of it makes it more attractive to me. You can learn more about Paraguay residency here.

Uruguay (3 years*)
If you are part of a family unit actually living on the ground in Uruguay, you can apply for citizenship after three years, so long as you can show substantial ties to the country. Owning real estate, renting a real apartment, being a member of social clubs, and having a local doctor all count. Claiming Uruguayan citizenship has become extremely difficult in recent years for this reason.

If you’re single, the timeline is two years longer, five years total. However, “family unit” does not only refer to a spouse; a single child can live with a parent, for instance, and still qualify.

Russia (3 years)
If you are willing to start a business or move your existing business to Russia, you may be able to obtain Russian citizenship within three years by merely paying taxes you would have had to pay anyway. While we often talk about low or no-tax offshore strategies for entrepreneurs, paying 13-19% in Russia may be worthwhile if you would have purchased economic citizenship from another country instead.

You can learn more about Russian citizenship for entrepreneurs here. Russia’s passport does not offer access to Europe, but many successful Russians have long-term Schengen visas or merely obtain European residency from countries like Spain, Portugal, Italy, Latvia, and others.

BUT WAIT… THERE’S MORE!
As mentioned, several countries allow the President or Congress of the country to waive naturalization rules and make anyone a citizen, even one day after they obtain residency. In principle, this option usually takes at least one year.

Some countries, such as Austria, charge a lot of money for this special citizenship process, which is why many call it an economic citizenship when in actuality it is not. I’m aware of four smaller countries that also offer fast-track naturalization for “persons of economic interest” to the country, sometimes with a rather minimal investment.

These fast-track programs aren’t really “programs” at all. Anyone who promises you they can get you a citizenship with 100% success in these countries is not telling the truth. “Economic interest” citizenships are merely a matter of proving to the country that you’re valuable to them as a citizen, perhaps because of your business background or an investment you can make in their country. Each case is taken on an individual basis.

These fast citizenship programs are more difficult for citizens of emerging world countries, but might be perfect for some Americans, Canadians, Europeans, etc.

Catholic Cardinal Theodore McCarrick offered Islamic religious phrases and insisted that Islam shares foundational rules with Christianity, during a Sept. 10 press conference in D.C.

“In the name of God, the Merciful and Compassionate,” McCarrick said as he introduced himself to the audience at a meeting arranged by the Muslim Public Affairs Council. That praise of the Islamic deity is an important phrase in Islam, is found more than 100 times in the Koran, and is akin to the Catholic prayer, ”In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”

McCarrick next claimed that “Catholic social teaching is based on the dignity of the human person… [and] as you study the holy Koran, as you study Islam, basically, this is what Muhammad the prophet, peace be upon him, has been teaching.”

McCarrick was 71 when 19 Muslims brought Islam to the public eye by murdering 3,000 Americans on 9/11. He is one of the 213 Cardinals of the Catholic church, but is too old to vote in church debates.

They all wore mournful looks in the line-up, but no one would have readily known that three of the armed robbery suspects being paraded by the police that day used to be policemen.
Emmanuel Audu, James Momoh, Sunday Onuh and two former policemen; Sgt.Ochigbo Gabriel and Sgt. Francis Onuh hung their heads, trying their best to show remorse.
The former policemen among the suspects had been dismissed from the force for different offences. They later took up the tools of armed robbery.

Audu, 33, said he joined the Nigeria Police in 2003 but was dismissed as a constable in 2009 over his involvement in some illegal activities in Warri, Delta State.

Audu told journalists that after he lost his job, he relocated to Lagos and became a dispatch rider until December last year when he was looking for a job and met Peter Owocho, another member of the gang who introduced him to the gang.

He said he partook in all the operations carried out by the gang, and that he used his share of their loot to care for his family and pay his children’s school fees.

“I live at Ikorodu with my family. I took part in all the operations, but I was arrested on June 7, 2016 by the police,” he said.

A police officer told journalists that before members of the gang were arrested by operatives of the Inspector-General Police Special Intelligence Response Team, the suspects specialised in robbing Chinese nationals in different parts of Lagos.

The officer said before they met their waterloo during operation at the homes of 4 Chinese nationals in Gbagada, they had carried out no fewer than 10 robberies between December 2015 and June 2016.

The officer said, “The dismissed policemen normally gain access into the homes of the Chinese men under the pretence of conducting routine checks, or that they had information that they (the Chinese) were involved in drugs and currency counterfeiting.

“When they are allowed into their homes, the dismissed policemen would ransack the apartments and cart away all valuables including cash and electronic gadgets.”

As the suspects, who all hailed from Benue state reeled out their confessions, it left no doubt that they were a gang of notorious robbers.

Individually, they said bad association and their inability to get good jobs led them into the crime.

“Getting myself involved in crime is a disgrace to my family,” one of them admitted.

Police said the suspects would be charged to court as soon as the investigation was complete.

Young Australian mother miraculously gave birth on Thursday, May 8 to conjoined twins with two faces, two brains inside one skull and share one body.

Doctors had told Renee Young to terminate the pregnancy when they found out via an ultrasound that the twins they were expecting was one child with two symmetrical faces and two brains connected by the one brain stem but she and her partner, Simon Howie refused.
Renee and her partner welcomed their daughters named Faith and Hope, via an emergency caesarean at Blacktown Hospital last Thursday, six weeks before they were due.

Born with a rare condition called diprosopus, which means they share the same body and vital organs but have their own faces and brains which are connected by only one brain stem, the girls have continued to surprise doctors with their exceptional progress as they are breathing perfectly on their own and feeding too.

Officials have poisoned hundreds of dogs in Karachi, Pakistan in the latest effort to curb a population of strays that attack thousands of people each day. Bodies of dead dogs are seen littered around the city as municipal workers gathered them for disposal.
Officials estimated the operation had culled thousands of strays but did not have a full accounting for all six city districts.
“At least 700 dogs have been killed only in two areas of Karachi’s south in the couple of days,” said Sattar Javed, a spokesman for the municipal authority.
The periodic culling of stray dogs using poison tablets hidden in chicken has drawn criticism from animal rights activists but a city official, Mohammad Zahid, said it was necessary because packs of strays posed a threat to residents.
