I recently got BOQ for cost of site preparation up to DPC level for a 5 bedroom duplex, with an estimation of ~ 20M. Before we got to the stage, the consultant had hinted at a rough estimate of about 7M +/- months back. Thus, this BOQ is a shocker to me.

I find it hard to understand this drastic increase - understandably, inflation in the past few months is insane, yet 7 --> 20M is

A few notes:
- Land is in Arepo
- Fairly water logged area
- Requires site clearance
- The consultancy is already factored into this estimate.

My question, is this estimate normal? Is it the going rate considering inflation these days?

While acknowledging your error, and what you've tried to correct it, I feel your pain.

Question, since her family is aware now, what about your family, are they aware of the incident? I think it's important you let them know so that they don't get the info from 2nd hand sources.

As others have said, while she's away, try to focus on other areas of your life, this is easier said than done, I know. You may consider sending her text messages every few days as well, just to keep in touch and check in on your daughter.

At the end though, you have to consider how long you can afford her to be in this state without reconciliation. I would consider giving her 6 months to have a change of heart, after which I'd consider options of divorce and moving on

Yes they can. I've had similar issues with my wife's car twice, the second time it cost me a lot to fix as other issues started to come up.

In fact, the picture you paint could have been written by me exactly word for word. While I don't have an answer, my solution in my case as well was to start parking outside. However, due to road construction, we had to resume parking in the compound again.
