Icon4s: Oga that is your opinion.
JJ gave us the beautiful part of the game.
He still remains up there amongst our greatests. It’s not my opinion that Jay-Jay had an uninspiring career. That’s a fact. He never even won APOTY, and that’s an award any reasonable African baller with world class talent should have won at least once. I agree he’s a Nigerian legend. Like I said in my first post, he’s a local champion. |

BascoVanVeli: Guess what? He enjoyed every minute of it and we did too Okocha was an artist ahead of his time. He made the game beautiful he is a legend EOD. You’re entitled to enjoy whatever you enjoy. However, football is not just about tricks and flicks. It’s also a game of purpose, and okocha’s game was purposeless...which was reflected in the way his career turned out in the end |

BascoVanVeli: Okocha did the same thing in Germany. Okocha is only a local champion and never achieved his potential...mostly because of this instinctive and tactically indisciplined attitude to football |

Icon79: True. They made a lot of mistakes at the defensive end as well. I will blame that on inexperience and lack of team cohesion.
Good point about their tendency to over carry the ball. I was watching at work but that didn't keep me from occasionally screaming my head off
O pari I think it comes more from the quality of the league they play at. There are certain traits that would have been coached at of you by age of 18 in Europe. over-dribbling is one. bunching is another. There is clearly athlecticsm, skill and technique there for a lot of those boys, but tactical nous and decision making was lacking on several occasions |

Icon79: What happened to Nigeria and goalkeeping these days? Are you guys trying tell me that these guys (including Akpeyi and Ezenwa) are the best goalkeepers we have in Nigeria today?
Strange!
O pari or defending for that matter. What I saw in this game was that Nigerian players are still too instinctive and dependent on flair than their European counterparts. sometimes the flair works- that 2nd goal was an amazing example- but you're never going to see space to dribble the same defender 5 times on the spot in any decent league. A tactical person would have dribbled one time and passed the ball. The guy stood there dribbling the same man 5 times. defending was a similar story. our guys were too quick to go to ground, or getting too attracted to the ball and opening gaps. sorry..these guys ain't ready for real footy. |

raumdeuter: Fellaini doesnt have to be a starter but he gives an alternative in tactics. That Witsel is another lowkey wasteman. Ibime has been shouting his name for like 5yrs yet I never see am do anything
If he isnt playing in Siberia, he is playing Shalin soccer I've never understood Ibime's obsession with the guy--from Russian League straight to China. How much of his game could he have actualled watched I know he was good in football manager 2006, so maybe that's where the obsession came from. Fellaini is a waste of space that isnt actually needed. Unlike Manyoo, Belgium is packed with giants. The lukaku brothers, Vertoghen and Kompany for example. That's 4 to aim at in time of need. Benteke still on bench as well. I cant see the point of afroman |

raumdeuter: Chadli has probably played less than 60mins of football in the past 8months For a relegated team no less.. Unless he's playing 4 2 4, I cant see why he would pack so many wingers and forwards. I would have taught a dembele-kdb-naingollan midfield would literally pick itself, with Hazard-Lukaku- Mertens upfront What a waste of worldup spot picking Chadli and Fellaini |

raumdeuter: Why is everyone making this about Naingollan vs Fellaini? Is Fellaini the only one in the team?
Belgium picked guys like Kabasele, Chadli(who barely played this season) Januzaj, Boyata, Hidden Hazard(no purpose atilogwu dancer), Witsel and Carasco(both play in China)
The Belgian coach is probably a dumb guy who has personal issues with Naingollan cos both Naingollan and Fellaini could have made the team without issues That chadli one too is a busthead |

funlord: It has! Naiggolan has even retired from the national team as of yesterday! It is a useless decision and anyone who actually believes fellaini is more deserving of either a place in the squad or would add more to their play than naiggolan deserves to train with Anthony joshua with out gloves lmao Ibime sign here please... |

komekn: I spent a lot if time at Burnley know almost all the coaching staff there.
I also know nearly all the black players and what they say to me in private will never be made public knowledge.
Sean Dyche is not a very nice man. Off the top of my head the black players at Burnley this year were: George nkodou, Aaron Lennon and nakhi wells. Nkodou was a crap loan signing and sent back to spurs Nakhi was not a first team signing Aaron Lennon has had a shirt since he transferred, despite suffering a mental illness crisis earlier in the season at Everton. I admit I’m not an insider, but there are football reasons why the players I mentioned are in the. Team or not |

komekn: Seyi Ojo Jordan Ibe
Both parents are thier agents and give them support and advice always as Fathers to sons.
When Zaha was nearly finished off by David Moyes who was there to pick him up, his Dad. Now who is the best winger in the EPL Zaha has been playing as a striker not a winger over the last maybe 10 games. Also, when he does play as a winger for palace, he mostly plays on the left, with Townsend on the right. |
