That unimaginable feeling you get when you surprisingly meet a brother or sister who you had no idea even existed. Talk less of a spiting image of yourself!

These two 10-year olds, Audrey Doering, from Wisconsin and Gracie Rainsberry from Washington state, were in tears as they embraced for the first time after being adopted by two American families months after birth.

The families adopted the two girls from China.

Audrey had told her parents that she wanted a a sister for Christmas this year.

She never expected what would happen next . “It felt like there was somebody missing. Now, it’s complete,” she said.

“I thought my parents were, like, playing a joke on me,” Audrey said, adding that when she video chatted with her sister for the first time, her initial reaction was that “she’s me.”

Gracie added that her and her sister have a lot in common. “We both love chicken Alfredo. That’s like one of our favorite foods. And we both love mac ‘n’ cheese.”

On meeting each other for the first time, Gracie said: “It’s very overwhelming…. I was, like… started to cry a lot, and my mom kept on asking me … what my crying was for, and I was saying, ‘I don’t know. I didn’t know what to think.”

The two girls also suffered heart conditions. Gracie underwent two heart surgeries after arriving in the U.S. and Audrey underwent one.

Audrey’s mother, Jennifer Doering said she started researching her child’s past while trying to get Christmas present for her.

She said that with the help of a Chinese researcher, she discovered a photo that depicted her daughter on the knee of her Chinese foster mom, who is also carrying another baby that looked just like Audrey.

Doering said she became desperate to find out who the other child was. she later discovered that that was her child’s twin and she had also been adopted by a U.S. family.

“Oh, it was unbelievable. I’m like, ‘How?’ I mean, this is stuff you read about. And how, how could it really be that there are two of them?” Doering said.

She said that she found Gracie’s mother, Nicole Rainsberry, through Facebook.

Rainsberry said: “I mean, it’s hard to process that information. It was so crazy to be looking at what looked like Gracie, but knowing that it wasn’t Gracie.”

Popular comedian, Tony One Week has just slammed the critics of Gideon Okeke after he openly criticized Chiwetalu Agu‘s vulgarity in movies.

Gideon had said that Agu’s vulgarity is becoming too much and the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) has to do something about it.

Then fellow actress. Chioma Akpotha had reacted, saying Okeke lacks respect and morals, and it’s none of his business how Agu delivers his craft.

Tony One Week has weighed in on the issue, saying “anyone who supports Chiwetalu Agu’s persistent use of vulgar language has little or no moral foundation”.

Davido is popular for making veiled shots at personalities in his songs.

The artiste has just taken potshots at D'banj in DJ Jimmy Jatt's 'Orekelewa' which he features in.

Ailing media personality, Emma Ugolee who is still bedridden needed an amount in tune of 50 million naira a month ago to get his needed kidney transplant.

Davido and international super star, Akon are already in Gabon!

This revelation was made by the lovebirds at their recent housewarming where they also unveiled the artistes that had already been signed up.

The artists include Mo'Eazy (who was formerly signed to Darey's Soul Muzik), Ruby and Pearl (Gemstones), MartinsFeelz and Sonorous.

Nigeria midfielder John Obi Mikel has become the latest big name player to join the Chinese Super League gold rush after leaving Chelsea for Tianjin Teda, Reuters reported on Friday.


Mikel, who failed to make a single appearance for Antonio Conte’s side this season, had a medical in the port city some 130 kilometres from Beijing on Thursday and the Asian Football Confederation confirmed the deal on Friday.

The 29-year-old, who spent more than a decade at Stamford Bridge, was given a free transfer by the London club and will earn £140,000 ($173,432) a week in China, according to local media reports.

After joining Chelsea in 2006, Mikel was part of a squad that won a Champions League crown, two Premier League titles and four FA Cups.

Chinese clubs have made several high-profile signings over the last month with Argentine striker Carlos Tevez moving to Shanghai Shenhua for a reported €84 million ($87.65 million).

Less than a week later, Brazilian midfielder Oscar joined local rivals Shanghai SIPG from Chelsea in a deal believed to be worth €60 million.

Music star, Tekno who's mostly known for his popular jam, pana has reportedly left his Record Label, Triple MG (Made Men Music Group)

This fresh bit of news comes just months following a similar move by former co-label mate, Iyanya to jump ship and seal a move to a greener record label, Mavins under the aegis of whiz producer, Don Jazzy.

This trend continued today after Tekno took to his IG page today to thank Upfront and Personal Boss Paul Okoye for buying 50% shares of his label. This bold move could only mean one thing, and its that a possible move for Tekno out of the label is on the table.

He however didn't mention anything about Triplemg or Ubi Franklin, his label boss.

You can also recall that delectable artiste, Emma Nyra had also left the label a year earlier under almost similar conditions after she cited irreparable differences as the reason behind her decision to quit the label.

Only one man remains at the center of this storm and that is Ubi Franklin. It makes one wonder why his artistes always want to leave his record label in a hurry after a not so lengthy stay.

The label boss is also currently undergoing a downtime in his marraige to actress, Lilian Esoro with widespread rumours of a possible separation on the cards. This story is well documented on social media.

Lawyers in Kuala Lumpur said on Friday that a 9-year-old Malaysian boy got his penis amputated in the second botched circumcision operation in December.

The Lawyers said was due to negligence on the part of his surgeons.
The doctor accidentally cut off the head of the boy’s penis during the operation on December 15.

He then tried to stitch the penis head back on, but did not align it properly, lawyer P. Uthayakumar told reporters at a press conference outside the main hospital building in Kuala Lumpur.

The child was referred to another hospital for immediate further surgery, but the penis head started turning black, and the whole penis later had to be amputated.

“I am very stressed out I don’t know what to do,’’ the father of the child, who did not want to be named, said.

The boy’s parents are seeking compensation to cover reconstructive surgery and are hoping for their son to be treated at a hospital abroad.

“He asks me: Why are you sad mother? I try to control crying in front of him I can’t help but think how his life will be after this,’’ the boy’s mother added while sobbing.


Neither the unidentified doctor, who carried out the botched operation, nor his clinic has made any comment about the case.

Popular Nigerian Pastor and founder of Kingsway International Christian Centre located in the UK, Matthew Ashimolowo, has lost $4.8 million to a Ponzi scheme after members on the board of his church invested the money into the scheme.

The ponzi scheme is owned by former Premier League soccer player, Richard Rufus, who used to be a defender for Charlton Athletic.

Rufus who is a former member on the board of the church, promised investors along with the church a return as high as 55 per cent. He was last year found guilty of defrauding about 100 investors out of a total of $10,731,159 (£8,682,343) in the £16-million investing scheme.

Christian Post who shared a report of findings from an inquiry published on December 14th by the Charity Commission for England and Wales, disclosed that the church had a net loss of about $4.8 million (£3.9 million) after its trustees invested over $6.1 million (£5 million).

Kingsway International Christian Centre was the single largest investor in the scheme. The Charity Commission in the report presented after its investigation, stated that the church’s trustees made an initial investment and entered into an agreement in which they were guaranteed that the church's investment would earn a profit of about 5 percent per month, with the exception of August and December when they were guaranteed profits of about 2.5 percent.

“The inquiry established that in practice, however, the investments resulted in a net loss of £3.9% million to the charity,” the report explains The report states that the church’s trustees who handed over the funds were guilty of “mismanagement.”

The commission found that the church’s trustees did not “exercise sufficient care when making the decisions to invest £5 million of the charity’s funds through the ex-trustee’s investment scheme.”

Africa’s richest man and President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has lost 32 per cent of his wealth, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires’ Index.

Bloomberg reported on Wednesday that Dangote lost $4.9bn or one-third of his wealth as the combined effect of falling oil prices and the June devaluation of the naira pushed him to No. 112 on the billionaires’ list with $10.4bn. Dangote was the world’s 46th-richest person in June.

Saudi Arabia’s Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Al Saud fell by $4.9bn, a 20 per cent drop, the report added.


Alwaleed had said in November that all of his stakes in public companies, including Citigroup Incorporated, were potentially for sale, reversing a longstanding policy that some of his most-prized shareholdings were “forever.”

Wealth creation in China turned negative for the first time since the inception of the Bloomberg index five years ago, with the country’s richest losing $11bn in 2016 amid a slump in the Shanghai Shenzhen CSI 300 index and a seven per cent decline for the yuan against the dollar.

Alibaba Group Holding Limited’s founder, Jack Ma, closed the year with $33.3bn, adding $3.6bn in 2016. He dropped in and out of his place as Asia’s richest person for the first four months of the year before claiming it for good in May, after Alibaba’s finance affiliate, which is laying the groundwork for an initial public offering expected as soon as next year, completed a record $4.5bn equity fundraising round.

China has 31 billionaires on the index with $262bn, trailing the US, which has 179 billionaires who control $1.9tn, and Germany, whose 39 individuals have $281bn.

Russian billionaires also began to put the negative effects of the US and European sanctions behind them, reversing the combined $63bn declines for 2014 and 2015, and adding $49bn in 2016.

Wealth managers for the world’s richest are girding themselves for similarly frenetic start to 2017 as the seismic changes that voters demanded this year start to take shape.

“Expect the unexpected,” said Sabine Kaiser, founder of SKadvisory, which advises family offices on venture capital and private equity. “I don’t think family offices are overly concerned or getting too nervous but after Brexit and Trump, they’ve resigned themselves to market volatility.”

In a year when populist voters reshaped power and politics across Europe and the U.S., the world’s wealthiest people are ending 2016 with $237 billion more than they had at the start.

However, the Bloomberg Billionaire index revealed that the world’s richest made $237bn this year.

The gains were led by Warren Buffett, who added $11.8bn during the year as his investment firm, Berkshire Hathaway Incorporated, saw its airline and banking holdings soar after Donald Trump’s surprise victory on November 8. Buffett, who’s pledged to give away most of his fortune to charity, donated Berkshire Hathaway stock valued at $2.6bn in July.

The US investor reclaimed his spot as the world’s second-richest person two days after Trump’s victory ignited a year-end rally that pushed his wealth up by 19 per cent for the year to $74.1bn.

“The year 2016 has been event-driven with global news driving prices rather than fundamentals,” said Michael Cole, president of Ascent Private Capital Management, which has about $10bn of assets under administration.”

According to people who know him, he has battled kidney disease for five years and now requires financial support to have a kidney transplant.

As a result, music stars, Wizkid and 2face Idibia have led the charge asking Nigerians to support the movement to raise N50m for him.

While performing at a Christmas concert held in Calabar, Cross River state, award winning music star, Kiss Daniel was reportedly attacked by armed robbers and robbed of his valuables at gun point.

An unknown number of armed men stormed the Christmas Village in Calabar, the capital of Cross River State in the early hours of Monday and robbed fun seekers of their possessions, The Punch is reporting.

The armed men shot repeatedly into the air forcing audience at the venue to run for safety. The newspaper reports that the attacked occured during the performance of popular musician Kiss Daniel.
It is not known if anyone was killed in the attack but several people sustained gunshot injuries while others were stabbed.

The Calabar Christmas Village, situated at the Calabar Municipal Council Secretariat, usually opens 24 hours each day, from December 1 to December 31 every year.

It was not clear if Kiss Daniel was injured, but an eyewitness said some of the attackers rushed on stage and took some of the items he had on before security official were able to rush him into hiding.

An injured shop owner in the village, Glory Andem, gave her account of the incident:

“It was a serious situation and I got injured. What happened was that some guys came into the village and tried to rob Kiss Daniel when he was singing, ‘Oya talk to me o mama.’

“They were throwing bottles and other things at him. Before we knew it, they brought out guns and started shooting. Some security men immediately rushed to the singer. But even with the security, the robbers rushed at him and removed his clothes and collected things from him.

“They would have killed that guy. To be honest, I don’t know how he managed to escape. You know there are several thousands of people in the Christmas village usually and the situation led to a serious pandemonium.

“They broke up everything in my shop. They took all my money. They robbed a lot of shops. Our chairs were broken. Everybody was running at the same time. It was a terrible experience.”

She also added that several cars were vandalised.

However, the state Commissioner of Police, Jimoh Ozi-Obeh, said it was not a robbery attack, but a quarrel between the organisers of the show.

“There was no robbery incident in Calabar and nobody was attacked by robbers in any other part of Cross River State. What happened was that the government had initially planned to host the musician at the stadium, but the plan was changed to the Calabar Christmas Village. They probably had misunderstanding with the organisers. It was the change of venue that was not properly organised,” he said.

Chelsea have confirmed a £52million fee has been agreed with Shanghai SIPG over the sale of Brazilian midfielder Oscar.

He will become the most expensive signing by a Chinese Super League club, joining up with former Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas in January as clubs in the Far East continue to splash the cash.

Worse things could have happened but for the prompt intervention of Police Operatives as some angry bank customers bared their fangs into the Manging Director of a Micro Finance Bank in Enugu.

Ubenyi Kingsley, the Managing Director of Kesley Mega Micro Finance Bank was beating to within an inch of his life on Monday after he had an altercation with aggrieved customers who stormed the bank.

According to a statement issued by the Command on Saturday, December 3rd, it was gathered that crowd of aggrieved customers in their hundreds were seen holding the managing Director hostage in his vehicle and given him beating of his life and also damaging his vehicle.

The aggrieved customers maintained that they are customers of the micro finance bank and that despite repeated efforts to withdraw their money in their savings account with the bank.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Monday has debunked reports that its personnel are now authorized to carry arms on duty.

Bisi Kazeem, FRSC Head of Media Relations and Strategy, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the rumour was being circulated by mischievous elements seeking to provoke disorder in the society

Kazeem said that some “irresponsible” people took a recent statement by the Corps Marshal, Boboye Oyeyemi, out of context to suit their agenda.

He said the Corps Marshal was only lamenting the recent findings that 70 marshals lost their lives this year alone to some reckless motorists and was misquoted.

“The Corps Marshal only stipulated that such a high number of loses could have been avoided if FRSC personnel were carrying arms as allowed by the law. But, he quickly added that there is no immediate plan to implement the law that permits the officials to carry arms. It is unfortunate that some wicked people now took that to mean that he said officials are now being armed; it is a figment of their imagination .” he said.
