Has anyone here used loans to relocate via study route? If so could you share your experience/recommendation

Good day everyone,
I’m seeking advice from people who have recently moved to Ireland via the education route, especially those who used loans to fund their studies.

I’m 27 years old with about 3 years’ experience in management consulting (non-finance). I’ve tried the visa-sponsored job route with no success, so I’m considering the study route.

I currently have about ₦7m in savings. My family may be able to support with an additional ₦2–3m, but we are not financially buoyant, so my options are limited, and from my research, I’d need roughly ₦40m total.

I’m actively applying for scholarships, but I also want to be realistic and prepare in case I eventually have to fund part of the tuition/POF through a loan.

My questions are:

Has anyone here used loans to relocate? If so could you share your experience/recommendation
How manageable was repayment, especially in the first year?

I’d really appreciate any advice or experiences. Thank you.

Avoid trailer park, Avoid some part of Onne and Eleme, if you can afford the cost of transportation and House rent then look for somewhere around Akpajo or move to Elelenwo

I just got a job at the Onne terminal and I'm moving from Lagos. Need help finding a place to rent.

I'm a single woman, so my biggest concerns are:
1. Security: A safe area with good lighting is a must.
2. Proximity: I don't have a car, so I need to be relatively close to the terminal
3. Electricity: Need somewhere with very good light as I run an online business

Based on that, what areas should I be focusing on?

Any specific suggestions or places to avoid would be hugely appreciated.

No , not everyone get that mail. That mail means they have selected those who will be reviewed. Subsequently those that didn't get the mail will be sent mail.

Please note that mail shows you have been picked from the performance of your assessment and they're review those who have performed well from the assessment.

This is false. I got the mail and I didn't even write the assessment

No I have not. I just want to have an idea of what there tests looks like and prepare ahead

Last year was dragnet assessment, Interview, then assessment centre

I did. It has a few calculations you're expected to do without pen/paper, basically workplace scenario questions, then an essay of 100-800 words and then behavioural questionnaire.

I honestly didn't enjoy it much so I don't think I did that well. Goodluck to others

Training school to start Feb and looks like its full onsite

I have to give one month's notice in my place of work, hopefully, they inform us on time, so I can prepare

Congrats oh, my own is a month between every stage now. Just did my final interview this week hopefully it doesn't take them another month to get back to me

The first assessment was done first week of November. Documentation mail came 2days after. The First interview was done 2weeks after documentation. Success mail came after 5days.
Final interview mail came after 3weeks and success mail and medicals mail came the next day.
Mine is graduate trainee.
For tech trainee you should probably have basic tech knowledge.

Please does anyone have an Idea of the pay? a full day assessment is alot. Let me see if it's worth the risk
